So this is where my money goes when I buy that delicious bread these guys sell on the side of the highway.
Home based businesses can be lucrative. I hear these guys are also dealing in drugs.
You’re a fuckin idiot. I heard the same about your mother...
they never once mentioned the fact...that a great horse like that could be used to make money....siring other horses, that would be the best way to get your money back....
Yes he did a 3:15
Yes they did, said you could make it back withing 2 years, go figure 1 pug at 150k there.
They don't need to mention it. That is an Amish audience of mostly farmers - they know damn well what to do with the horse.
Love the Amish community. ♡.
The women dont!
I miss you all love you all and take care I pray to see everyone soon
Wow, what a beautiful animal
Amish people are Good people from morrocco 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
Beautiful horse!
Did they bid at 300,000?
It's time to run the numbers folks. How much does Newtown Choclatier stand at stud for? How many mares will he average breeding in a average year and how many years will NC stand at stud for?
In other words is an investment like this worth my time and money?
Stands for $1500-$2000 and has easily bred 200 mares
$300,000 is chump change for a good horse. That horse is fair-to-middling.
Everyone is talking about the dumb whip - find me a barn without a whip. What you should be all concerned about is how they get that gait - that does not come natural to any horse. That is usually trained with soring.
This is a natural movement for this breed of horse no soring or extreme methods needed. I think you may be thinking more along the lines of the TWH.
Whips are not used to touch and guide in training. They are not used on the horse at least not by a good trainer. Horses naturally do not care for them
GoodRedBlackRatio it's torture to horses 🐴
I don't think the Amish are into that sort of thing - and there are horses that have naturally high action. I used to work for an Arabian breeder and those horses had extremely high action - higher than this - and I can guarantee you there was no soring involved.
"that does not come natural to any horse." lol okay, I'm assuming that is a Standardbred, this gait comes naturally to the breed, no training required and you certainly can't get them to do this by soring them, they would be lame ...
That is totally uncalled for spend that kind of money and the thing could fall over dead inside of a minute where is common sense people
Auction barn people make 20% of sale. Eaglegards ya saps...
300K for a amish horse???? ummmm
How do Amish people make money off using this horse?
They built and make furniture and save remember amish make money on hay and wheat and others things . NO ELECTRIC or TV
I bet he's been sored
Shanna Logan what do u have to bet on? I'll bet you that he hasn't been sored.
Shanna Logan people shouldn’t comment on things they are so ill informed about
That damn check rain makes me sick
You got the gait by soring, your horrible people deserve to be arrested for many many many years in prison.
This could be much worse the Amish love horse meat I read that somewhere
That is not true. Do you believe
everything you read
You got any idea how many horses are turned out to starve because the owner can't sell them for meat in America? And how the number of neglected horses exploded when the law went into effect?
I was there, the horse was never hit with the whip, they crack it to show the horse doesnt get distracted and isnt scared of noises. They did it with all of the horses they sold. He's not abused what so ever this horse is kept better than some PEOPLE.
Thank You Megan ! No, the Amish aren't perfect, but the people who keep berating them on UA-cam STILL haven't shown me anything but their bias. I want just one of them to give me names and locations where they PERSONALLY have seen the abuses they claim knowledge of.
Go to Kill Pens and see how great the Amish are when it comes to animals that dont pay their keep. Puppy Mills and Auctions with animals that are neglected and not cared for. The Amish hide behind their religion as goody goodies but they are like every other human being. The religion does not touch their hearts to care properly for the animals God gave us to care for.
only none horse people would think that!
Megan Miller what breed is the horse? Would it be Standardbred I'm not familiar with what the Amish use for buggy horses. I'm from western Canada
Fake auction I was lucky to work with two two time world class Hunter jumper champions both were apalusia not sure if breed is spelled right anyway both horses were insured for a quarter million each do to their history in first place at the world championship for horses Hunter and jumper the horses names were Alma and guy around 16 hands each
I live smack dab in the middle of Amish country. Our ferrier is Amish actually. And I tell you what I love joining them at our PA auctions
What a beautiful horse!!
Yeah it would look better if they took care of it
You should see that same horse when it’s served it’s purpose!
Google the slaughter pipeline!
Horse isn't abused and not hit with whip. Horse was probably purchased to race on the Standardbred circuit. He is a beauty and moves quickly.
He's not a standard bred ....he's a Dutch Harness Horse! !
Linda K Chaney I own two Standardbreds. Trust me. That ain't no Standardbred.
He's a Percheron, used for buggy, farm work. This stallion will bring $ stud fees.
@@bonniecrouse6662 He's definitely not a Percheron, go look up that breed, it's a draft horse and this is a Dutch Harness Horse, not a draft horse.
I am in the tile, natural stone and landscape supply business. A manufactured stone company just got bought up by the Amish. So not they are one of our suppliers and turned this business around to be highly profitable. They buy into regular US businesses, many that are not doing well and are very hard working, smart, frugal and run businesses successfully. Less than 95% of Amish businesses fail. Less than 10% of most US business start-ups make it. So nearly 90% fail. They do not spend money day in and day out, year in and year out on anything other than bare necessities and what is needed. I believe many pool their money for business deals. THey do not sit around doing things that are frivolous or wasting time. Not looking at TV's, computers or cell phones. They are very progressive in business. Regarding the horse if she is young she has at least 25 years divided by the price of service ($12,000 a year) and can be bred for offspring that will bring in major money as well.
A standard-bred trotter that was claimed for $15,000 and 'flipped' for $300,000 for his looks, gait and breeding potential.
He was sored on his legged for the gait which is extreme abuse!
HorseCrazyKelly ,
Yes, if he was in fact sored, there should be a firing squad waiting for the evil doers to show their faces. I have seen some of the same effect from wearing light chains between the fetlock and hoof. I have also heard that wearing very heavy front shoes will cause the high lift with std. weight shoes. Any effort to alter things like this should make one eligible for a rectal relocation by a large shoe.
@@horsecrazykelly3940 No he wasn't special ed..... This is a STANDARDBRED, not a Tennessee Walker 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ These horses NATURALLY move like this. He's not limping while walking, trotting or turning (this is what the vet asks you to do if you suspect lameness fyi...) He's not lifting his hoof off the ground almost immediately, trying to escape the agonizing pain that comes from soreing. Another dead giveaway that this horse is NOT sored: no stacks. He is shod with only a light shoe and maybe one pad, not an entire stack of leather pads nailed to another stack of leather pads with a shoe nailed to that stack. I urge you to look up an x-ray of a stacked hoof vs. a regularly shod foot. You are wrong on this one. I commend you for looking out for the sickening abuse that is soreing, but this horse is definitely not sored.
If that is a full-blooded American Standardbred, and it looks like it may be, then I doubt it was ever sold for a mere 15K.
Bloody hell that horse costs more than my house...it is a stunning horse no doubt.....but how can they afford it?
Yeah it’s odd how so many Amish and Mennonites have loads of cash. I was selling a $16K generator for almost a year and the only person who ever replied to my ad was a mennonite who paid in cash for it. He and his family members literally had pockets full of cash. I was amazed.
Their selling lots of potatoes ???
What a gorgeous standard bred horse!
What a beauty.
what a magnificient horse.. black beauty in all its splendor
Oh my gosh I love what y all been up to... It kills me too much, beautiful animals! Thank you for sharing and protecting as always!
Kinda silly that horse is worth more then some houses
that horse is stunning
Amish got $300k to drop? Besides spiritual riches, are they low key millionaires?
how the hell do they have that much money to spend on a horse
Mickey O'Neil I have noticed they have huge houses and lots of land with pretty white fencing. They can’t be poor. Only rich people have this kind of money to spend on horses. They must know about money, for people who keep separate from the world. You can almost compare with some Jewish sects.
Ther Amish are not the buyers.
Mickey O'Neil Just like most people buying nice cars.
Mickey O'Neil huh? They arent dumb. They work and sre good business people
Christian Cullip she didn't say anything anti anything you butthurt nut
Meanwhile at Keeneland: Yearling with unknown pedigree sells for give-away price of $400,000.
At least....
Gorgeous...more money than I can afford
Amazing looking horse!
The Amish run puppy mills, they are not kind and gentle to these animals. Whipping the horses is normal for them
I don't think you can generalize like that. There are puppy mills everywhere run by many different types of people. Please don't lump them all together.
I was at an auction in northern Alberta Canada where a piece of land (160) acres went for 290000. Obviously these folks see potential in this horse. She’s a beauty.
...it's a stallion
When my greta grandparents came to Alberta they were GIVEN their first quarter for FREE.
@@Lagolop what year would that have been?
@@Localtruthspeaker Late 1800s but as far as I am aware, you may well still be able to get a free 1/4 in Saskatchewan or Alberta. There were (or are) rules in order to keep the land. A certain amount must be cleared in a certain amount of time and a building has to be built. Not sure if the rules apply today or not.
PS we live in the Calgary area. You couldn't get a garage for 290K these days ... LOL.
@@Lagolop no doubt on the garage part. There is still a ton of crown land up here. I spent two winters hauling chips out of the bush. (Wood chips). It would be interesting to try and get a piece of crown land non the less. But I do think there are heavy restrictions and you have to make the land profitable so they can charge property tax from it. The government can’t claim tax on what they own. So what ever it takes to get tax income.
yes beautiful but how are they going to get their money back as it isn't a racehorse with bloodlines etc
Lol he's a registered Standardbred who did race, he was a claimer, which is the lowest rung of the ladder in official races, I don't think he's worth the money but meh I guess, the auctioneer says you can get your money back by studding him out, you would have to charge a lot and breed him to a lot of mares to make back $300K though.
Amish Ferrari !
Welllll.... not really my idea of a $300,000 animal..... but hey, whatever floats your boat if you got the money.... Congrats to the previous owner/breeder.
AMISH MEN HAVE THE HORSEs and the barns....equals LEISURE and FUN....AMISH WOMEN...have kids, cooking, laundry, sewing WARDROBEs for everyone .... plus canning...my ol rump would be on a horse just to escape for a breath of fresh ...God Bless The Amish Woman...
Men do raise the children also! I know some Amish personally and often times when I go, the kids may be outside with dad working (or just playing around if they are too young to work) and some inside helping. It really amazed me because sometimes you'd see dad with a very young one (2-3yrs old) and if that little one wants to get on the cart with dad, dad lifts him ups and takes him! There's no "Go to your mom" (Unless dad is doing something dangerous)
This is a 9 year old STANDARDBRED by Chocolatier. He was claimed for $15,000 after not a lot of success on the track and he did not win any races for his new owner. Sold him at this auction 7 months after claiming him. With his bloodlines and gait he will do well at stud providing his get are winners. This is NOT a Dutch Harness Horse.
No synogog jews or Amish or Minorities or Mormons no Tribe of Dan or fake Judah has the Ark of the Covenant. ETHIOPIANS paleo Indians caucasian Hebrew Israelites 10 lost tribes has it . The Indians brought food in England. Esau brought misery to lost tribes and Ishmael
Horse looks malnourished also will never support anything animal related with the Amish. I had too many run ins with horribly mistreated animals from them.
$300,000 and thry done take care of thier animals properly. Thats insane. They just shoot them when they see no more use for them.
They take VERY good care of Breeding stock and it may not have been an Amish person that bought it. You don’t have to be Amish to buy a horse at an Amish auction.
sweet horse, look at him looking at the people with a kind eye.
in my 28 year experience of living near the Amish my opinion of their quaintness changed to disgust. They have puppy mills and treat their animals horribly.
Yep... they are disgusting
ua-cam.com/video/cxR1RlZGtPs/v-deo.html
Bastards!
You don't know what the hell you're talking about. You show up on all these sites..and flaunt your ignorance.
u don't know what the fuck your talking about I'm around Amish all the time and they treat all their animals good
My neighbor had his australian shepherd stolen by amish that ran a puppy mill. He rode around looking for his dog and heard it barking when he drove by their place. They wouldnt let him go near their kennels or see the dog he heard barking so he walked across the amish property and got the dog out of a pen and took it back home.
This reminds me it would be cool if an Amish raised horse one some of the biggest harness races in the country.
The old order Amish would never enter such a race. So it would have to be an Amish-bred and trained horse that someone outside the Amish community bought and raced.
I think the cart horses that the Amish use are a standardbred breed. They are not stored like the Tenn. Walkers were. They have a natural gate.
That is not a Tennessee Walker - I have one of those. That is either a Standardbred or a Saddlebred - trotters. The gait is entirely different.
So a girl with a smart phone is sitting next someone who filmed an Armish auction where the auctioneer was using a mic and amp. Dont the Armish shun technology?
they don't use it themselves usually but they do not ban outsiders from using it, nor do they mind hiring people that are not Amish. In other words, they are 'tolerant' of others. something libs could learn
The sale is open to non Amish people. That's how they make money....
I know, I'm glad I'm a conservative so I'm tolerant of Muslims, gays, sikhs, asians, native americans, homeless people, food stamp users, parolees, black people, mexican americans, immigrants, only conservatives are truly tolerant of all groups of people. Libtards can really learn from us.
Disco Stu Amish are a scam. They supposedly can't own technology, but they can use it. Ever see a small shack at the beginning of their driveways? It's a phone. They pay Usually, Mennonites to own them but the phone is for the Amish. They drive cars and trucks for work. Someone else owns it. They own bicycles, painted black. Drive and own cars, painted black.( your new order Amish) They also don't pay taxes, sales or property nor income. It's all tax free. They don't pay to register buggies but use our road system. The new order even sends them to public schools. I have lived among these scammers for 54 years! But it is true, they have very nice houses, always have money. They heat their homes and use lights on either propane or natural gas. The neighbor uses a propane refrigerator like in an
Rv..They drink, they smoke. The kids run around. Yeah, they got the deal SCAMMERS.I was offered $200,000 for my 10 acres I don't farm from the neighbor. Now where does a dirt poor Amish farmer come up with that cash?
@@tt-mt7rn as long as it profits them anything goes
BEAUTIFUL...DONT NEED EXPLAINING....
This horse lives in a beautiful barn and is treated with the up most respect I'd you think the Amish beat there horses feel free to show you how well there treated
Amish people in my area if the country have no problem with dumping horses that have served them fir years into the hands of kill buyers.
Most of them are not the saints so many people believe.
@@sheilastewart6678 300,000 to kill a horse lmfao. Right.
Absolutely beautiful. Worth that money.
What's his pedigree? - i worked for Lana Lobell Farms NJ and we had yearlings go for that much especially Trotters - we stood Speedy Crown, Astro Hill on the NY farm and Speedy Somolli , Mystic Park and Joie DE Vie on the N J farm - at the NJ farm we had $ 80,000,000 worth of Stallions standing there - we also had No Nukes , Oil Burner , Slapstick and Fortune Teller at the NJ farm - all of whom I handled
🤑🤑
Vintage John Marg. Sounds exactly like it.😅😅😅
These people treat these animals much better than most of you treat your own family. Pay attention instead of being a bunch of cry babies.
fuck a good horse
That's not even true. Do a very quick google search and you'll see they literally work these horses to DEATH - and whip them while they're doing it. No water, no rest, just a whip and cruel treatment. Wow. Smh... :/
Why the HELL should I trust GOOGLE for information on ANYTHING knowing their political leanings ? ESPECIALLY when it comes to groups like the Amish, Pennsylvania Dutch, Mennonites, ect. How many do YOU know and work with ?
I agree with you Niklaus Manuel D. Work them to death or send them to kill pens. They keep them well as long as they serve. Then they discard them like trash. Amish are as ruthless as any person that uses their possessions like tools with no need s or wants of their own.
Race track horses are thrown away all the time. They win thousands for their owner and they semd them off to Kill Pens ALL OF THE TIME. Breed em use them and sell them for poundage. Racing world is horrible on horses. It was much better long ago but today the horses are a non feeling commodity. Use to be people raised them, valued them, had places for them besides slaughter.
Shipshewana Indiana got great horse auction.
Cameras are usually not allowed around the Amish. Not sure how they managed to pull this off.
Lol they don’t want people knowing how much money they have so no cameras.
You don’t have to be Amish to buy a horse at an Amish auction.
$300,000 horse ! And these are the plain/simple people.🧐 Look at the huge houses they live in and all the land they have. What’s up?
They're blessed by God and work hard.
I keep hearing his shoes clicking, that might mean he was not moving so smoothly as they think.
That is the whip, not his shoes.
🤔
He is a trotter - you are supposed to be able to hear him. Plus, if he is being sold by an Amish person, he is used regularly on gravel and asphalt, so he is well-shod. Those are noisy. I really don't hear much here though.
Me just wondering how u understand the moderator 😅😅😅
More money for the horse, more quality dung it gives.

Auctioneer beating a dead horse for 300k
I expected German instead of English at this auction.
It's in Iowa.
Beautiful animal
Where do Amish get that kind of money??
I was trying so hard to understand the guy talking by the mic.. then I farted and I lost him
No need for the second person with the whip...
this auctioneers voice makes me hate him so much.
Your beard makes me hate you.
He probably hates fat people.
A beautiful horse. And an investment.
Dang the Amish have a lot more money than most!
You dont even know who bought the horse
Sure sounds like Steve Andrews on the call, but this is in Iowa and he works Ohio and Indiana sales, I have heard him sell many horses and he is one of the best.
Happens to be David Miller Steve Andrews isnt this good
Who gives a damn
Hell I don't have three dollars to buy some nachos. Much less 300k for a horse that with my luck will get hit by a car on the way home.
Thays crazy for a animal ,he could just drop dead tomorrow get sick etc, its flesh and blood like rest of us,
Gorgeous horse!
Oohh there's electricity in the amish barn ..yaay diversity when it comes to money.
Solar power.
for business they are allowed to use conveniences
What’s the point of him with the whip?
Amish don't have cars,
EMINEM ))))
Beautiful horse
and if it dies suddenly foooorget that way too much money
What a huge loss. Amish don't have insurance...
Some people are saying this horse is treated better than people, and that might be true for THIS horse, or the 'higher class' horses, but when it comes to the recycled track Saddlebreds they use for their buggies to ride around in, I've seen some very cruel instances. I live in Pennsylvania and visit Lancaster often. The horses are skinny, they're overworked, and they do not enjoy life. It's not, in my views, cruel to ride or be drawn by horses, but, the Amish have the tendencies to not provide proper care. I'm not necessarily an advocate over bitless bridles, but, I find it best. Especially when compared to these horses having to chomp down on it for hours at a time. These people, despite being religious, are out to make money and concern themselves with self benefit. The horses care becomes less important when it can prosper their own lives.
They are slime.
There are a number of levels in the Amish religion. One thing that they are very cheap on is vaccinations for their animals. They come up with home remedies that are rather barbaric. I guess it goes back to the saying about, That which does not kill you, makes you stronger.
While I am preaching to a congregation of people such as myself who like and maybe love horses, let’s talk about other somewhat cruel things that we, as “English”, do to our horses. My father raised and later also raced standardbred horses. The Jockey Club, and the USTA should be required to abolish the use of whips on horses. If the horse is not a money maker, get a better horse, or play more golf. Jumping horses is an activity that I personally find to be borderline criminal. Surgery for chipped coffin bones causes unnecessary pain, as does a bowed tendon or a founder due to the impact on the front feet. I have had my back broken twice due to the acts of others, and have endured years of unnecessary pain.Tennessee Walking horse soreing has been outlawed, but the judges reward those who still practice this black art, with trophies and ribbons for high stepping horses, knowing full well that a horse has been sored. As a person whose first riding horses were Dick and Dolly, Grampa’s gray percheron team, riding back and forth across the fields, I have a special dislike for people who dock horses tails. What the hell are they supposed to do during fly time? Learn to tie a mud knot to show off the hindquarters of a nice team. All breed associations should want to judge horses as they were originally bred to look and behave. As a kid I was taught that you make a horse do things, thus “breaking”. I have learned in caring for Dad’s remaining Standardbreds, that there is a lot more pleasure and satisfaction in creating a horse that trusts what you want him to do. A hell,of a lot safer as well. Learn to communicate on their level.
@@robertqueberg4612 Most horse breeds were "originally bred" to work 6+ hours (some occupations over 10) a day, six days a week. Now we've got goody-two-shoes whining about riding tandem on horses that were bred to carry over 600 lbs of armor.
Needs to be looked at by animal rights groups.
300k for a horse id take a lambo.lambos dont have heart attacks

He was sold for $300,000.
@starspangledsquirrelM
Nope. Just an appraisal. Seller paid the "bid in" "no sale" price, and sold it private party after the sale. Happens all the time at the auction
Yall surprised about 300.000$ for a horse but famous horses get sold for over 5 million🙇♀️💀💀💀💀
I saw a no name horse that had never even raced sell for $16M then he lost all three of his races, was retired to stud, didn't produce anything of note and died prematurely from his bad feet
A stallion?
How do the amish have so much money?
They don't , It was the amish selling that horse not buying it
That's not alot of money it was horses sold for 10m 95m
