My heart breaks for these horses. You can see on most of them, they look so sad. Animals are smarter than what we give them credit for and I truly believe they knew what was going on. I hope you get the horse you want from that guy.
The sadness in the eyes is heartbreaking. It's like they're saying "please take me out of here." Which is why I could never go to an auction. I'm faaaaar too softhearted. I would be bawling in the parking lot. 😭😭💔💔😭😭
I could never go to such an auction, I would break my heart and cry rivers for all these lost, unloved souls, wanting to rescue them all. And would blazingly hate all the humans responsible for their plight.
Is there no organization that will prosecute the ones that are clearly cases for neglect, why don't the auction people give the names over to the authorities? I an not from America so not sure how animal cruelty cases are handled, extremely sad watching these poor innocent animals, l am glad they are mentioned in the Bible as being in heaven, that is the only good thing about their release from this earth .
Well, you know I'm a sucker for paints, and yes he was gorgeous 🐴 and im sorry you cried 😢 cause that hurts my heart when your sad 🥺. BUT.... It sounds like that door is not totally closed 🤞. Keep us posted. Thanks for taking us along, had so much fun. Love and Blessings to you always ❤️🙌 Jennifer
When Shae was in the stall checking on the horse that she bid on, it seemed like there was such a connection with her and that horse. I was almost expecting a smooch and some red lipstick on the horse’s pink nose! 💋 The entire story of the bidding war and the conversation afterwards was so interesting. Best wishes Shae, whatever you decide regarding that horse.
I know the feeling… I’ve cried over many horses… especially working on the track and it’s a claiming race. Walking them out to the paddocks… then prepared to retrieve them after they’ve won, place or showed. Then they’re gone. And you walk back empty handed, bawling your eyes out with their lead rope and halter while the others walk back behind you with their tack. 😭🥺. Worst feeling in the world. X5. Still hurts to this day… but other horses come and go. I love what you do. Even if a horse is only “yours” for a few hours or years, they remain in your heart. Hugs.
I've never understood the rationale behind a Claiming Race. If the owner and trainer have put all that money and effort into training a good horse for a race, and if the horse wins, the owner loses the horse. Some random person just walks up and claims it; don't understand it at all!
He was a handsome horse ...I hope the guy who bought him gives him a good home...I believe if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be and if it is, it will be ...with many more auctions to come there will be many more opportunities to find the right connection with the right horse...love the auction videos...Thank you for once again taking us along for the ride...🐎
I don't know why, but a lot the horses while they were waiting/tied up just had a lot of sadness emminating from them. You've got a bigger/harder heart than me to not be affected by them! I'm sorry it didn't work out so you could bring him home, but i bet that means there will be another horse that needs your help coming up at the next one! I hope the guy that won is a good horse-dad and takes good care of him
I absolutely love your professional way of looking for a horse and at the same time let your heart speak. Both things are equally important. Knowing what to look for is extremely important for this kind of auction. Not looking for a rescue is in my opinion a very good thing to do! ❤ Ps. Sorry you didn’t win the auction. Everything happens for a reason for sure and if it is ment to be, he ‘ll be yours.
That horse was amazing, you should consider buying him, cause i would love to see him in your videos and vlogs all of the time! Keep us posted Shae, We love you!
There are very few purpose driven people out there who affect people and horses the way Shae does. She is such a kind and informative person. I never attended a horse auction I so had never heard about the loose pen horses. I did discover another channel called the The Clever Cow Girl who only rehabs the loose pen horses and rehomes them. It's amazing to see two such devoted horsewomen out there educating the public and bettering the lives of the horses they work with on a daily basis.
Always love you auction videos and how you explain the good, the bad and the ugly it's so lovely to see someone doing what you are and your morals if you were in the UK I'd offer to work for free just to learn and ride again 😊 xxx
Wow, he WAS a looker! I would have wanted him, too. Nice and tall, well-built and seemed so sweet. Can't wait to see all the late summer/fall auctions, as well. Take us to as many as you can! I'm planning a ride with a couple ladies on a Paso ranch in the next week or two. Never ridden gaited, so should be interesting! 💜🇨🇦
My heart hurts with so much love for all those horses. Last month I lost my 20 year old ( had since a weanling) from a strangulated intestinal lipoma. 2 years ago we lost his 30 year old brother. Our barn and pastures are so empty now. Not so sure I can endure any more heartbreak. I very much appreciate what you do and the fortitude you have. ❤❤❤
Your such a strong women Shae, I dont know how you do it. The look in the eyes of some of these horses, such saddness. I have yet to understand how an owner can let these beautiful wonderful animals, get into such terrible conditions. Accidents are one thing, but the hooves on that one, I would have to think, just neglect. That big gelding was a beautiful boy, but as you say, if it was meant to be, it would have happened. Thank you once again for bringing us along and am so looking forward to the next auction. Blessings to you, Kyle and the farm family.
I could never do it.... I would want to help them all.. you can see so much sadness or fear in their eyes.... So quite a Lot of respect for your professionalism...
Agree! All of Shea's videos are interesting and very creative; even the Shorts. I thought she might have trained as a graphic designer or in visual arts, and was surprised to learn that she had not.
It was interesting seeing all of the different horses, not sure I could handle going though… I am so tender hearted and feel a deep empathy for them as they are there and hopefully a great person will get them and give them a good home… I think too much of what might be going through their head being in a situation that is uncertain
I have learned so much from you about attending auctions. I went to one last night without my trailer! I kept your teachings and practices in mind as I checked out so many horses. Thanks for all your videos.
Shea, you have a great mind for auctions! You are able to accept not getting a horse & realize it wasn't meant to be. It's hard not to get emotional seeing the condition of some of them, but that is reality. Very nice video teaching people about screening health & temperament. Thx for sharing!🩷🌻🌸

It’s good to know you could have the option to still buy this horse 😅 Thank you for explaining again about your Organisation, it was well explained. Auction videos are always great to see!
I am in complete awe on how passion is your drive. The horses are your passion and your purpose not the commercial aspect of any of this. I have a similar approach in my life and have chosen passion over anything else. I am glued to your channel and can’t wait to have more!
Shea, keep the auction visits going, the Appy at 10:30 in this video sure was a nice looking horse. Some of those salebarn situations can be very hot on a Aug. muggy day and wear out a horse just being there. Glad you made a video on the day.
Your auction and expo videos are my favorite thing to watch in my free time. I get to live vicariously through you without the actual temptation and heartbreak of being in person as I do not have a farm or the money to own a horse. I’m sorry that it didn’t work out with that sweetheart today. I think your attitude about it is something we can all learn from. If it’s meant to be it will happen. The door isn’t completely closed and if something is meant to happen it will. Look at all the auctions you had to go through to find Belle, and it was after that previous mare broke your heart by likely having DSLD.
I love watching these videos because you're doing exactly what I want to do, giving horses a second chance at life from auctions, I've always wanted to do that since I was really young and its nice to see someone else doing it as well

Thank you for taking us along 😊. Sorry the paint didn't turn out, but maybe you will find the right one at another auction. Thank you for pointing out the health issues that some of them may have, it's always sad to see. I understand your philosophy, everyone has their own way of doing things, your way is just as important, you save a horse from potential slaughter and give him a new lease on life... thank you 🥰
I love your vids. I cannot ride or train any longer due to old age and health concerns but you are doing a good job and your reports are always so interesting. Oh goody, more auctions coming up! Yippee! 😊
I don't know how you do auctions..they're so heartbreaking. You must really have to steel yourself for them. Kudos to you
My goal in the past was to save as many as I could with hopes of rehoming eventually. I did it with my own money and no outside help. I was lucky to have the money. It was a tremendous joy, but also heartbreaking. God bless.
