I’m honestly more aligned with the fact that this will be in it’s own continuity.
And that it will have a few references and Easter eggs to the movies both from the Bayverse and the Rebooted continuity.
But not directly tied with both continuities

it's like the Peter Parker Spider-Mans in the Spider-Verse movies. they reference the Raimi movies but they're also not really the Tobey Spider-Man
This has nothing to do with the live action Transformers. We are introduce to what the origin was but it is its own universe. Even if it would, it just mess up continuity, not the movie itself.
Transformers One cannot be a prequel to the Bayverse or the Reboot because there are no connection to them.

I was, literally, wondering this at work yesterday; great to see “the Man” tackling. Keep up the great work Theorymus! I kinda hope it’s a soft prequel for the new continuity although being in its own standalone continuity doesn’t bother me either.
Hope this movie does really well, love an Optimus and Megatron friendship backstory set during the Golden Age of Cybertron. Wonder how Megs and Optimus become enemies in this new origin?

Tbh it looks like smth that could work for a reactivate sequel,if you look at that ss Optimus Toy it liiks like a cybertronian reactivate prime. Head and legs design alongside tue proportions are nearly the same

Honestly I don’t really care if it ties into the live action movies; I’m really excited that we are finally going to see more of Cybertron and the origins of both Optimus and Megatron, sure a lot of people could say: “well there’s the War for cybetron Trilogy” or “read the comics”, for what I’ve seen so far the war for cybertron trilogy wasn’t a hit amongst Transformers fans, most people thought it was boring, and with the comics, there’s way to many comics out there that is sometimes hard to keep track.
So to have a movie dedicated to explain the origins, it’s a great move, and for once, we will finally have a transformers movie without humans!
I kinda like the D-16 design now. I think we just need to wait a bit before bashing it for the designs.
I feel like Bayverse fans should probably know the feeling on people not separating a design that is good from the original character.
Also they are literally fucking protoforms. D-16 is supposed to look like megatron from the original commercials from before the show came out. His comic design.
Ok, Just to correct TF one is no way near a prequel to bayverse nor the new films such as BB and ROTB (which are also neither reboots or prequels but messy spin offs/crossovers). That's just paramount and producers, pulling shit out of their ass (like always) just to please die hard fans who are gullible rather than not admitting that the studios don't know what to do with the live action films anymore.
Plus, TF One lore and style is completely different than the live action films, which also prove that it's part of a seperate continuity. And let's not forget the fact that paramount is literally creating a crossover film with TF/GI JOE
(meaning they're putting a dead franchise into a successful series that is soon yet to fall),
so basically paramount are just lying to fans for their attention and not being honest to them or themselves. SMH

Hi, for me it is a prequel to the bumblebee movie, maybe the designs are different because of the more cartoon style, but the story may be before bumblebee. Like the Clone Wars series, the designs are slightly different from the live action films, but the series is cannon in the main story.
I really hope they dont advertise this one like they did with ROTB, it ruined the hype
From what I've heard, particularly from the fire brothers, this movie isn't meant to concretely connect with any of the movies but it's made in such a way that it could be the starting point of any of those movies. That sounds like a good thing since it's a prequel it can do anything it wants up until the fall of Cybertron which could be where the story for this movie or it's followup sequels end

@@giovonniiclayton True but look at it this way, no transformers movie has ever showed us what happened before the war, they only mention what it was like before it, so if this movie isn't connected to the ones before it this could very well mean that we will get to see more of the transformers on their home turf rather than fighting on some backwater rock that I'm sure most of us are already tired of seeing by now, but if this movie is in it's own continuity then it could very well be solely focused on Cybertron since the great war happens over the course of centuries or millennia in some continuities so we may never leave Cybertron if they go that route

Throughout years, we were just introduce to war and not the backstory. We only get flashbacks, references but none of the films show the story before Cybertron. I think the crew should take a break and show us the true history of Cybertron because I read that Cybertron had a bit of poltical corruption and how the caste system differientiates. I am interested in the movies and the story itself.
Originally I thought that this would be a prequel to PRIME. Because of Optimus and Megatron's backstory, and Arachnid appearing.
I still believe it's somehow connected to the Rebooted continuity (Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts). There's already references and easter eggs from those movies.
Saw this film in the cinemas today.
It's incompatible with the Bayverse but I think it fits well in the Knightverse (and hope it actually is).
But if the director says it's the start of a third universe, so be it

I know this isn't connected to the Bay films at all because Optimus has the matrix in this film, where in the Bay films. The matrix would've been on earth already, and he didn't get it until earth
As much as I love the Bayverse. I hope that Transformers One is its own thing. If it’s connected to the bumblebee movie and rotb sure I could buy it. If it is the Bayverse, then that wouldn’t make a lot of sense. But I’m under the impression that it’s own universe entirely.

Mostly, it will connect to the continuity of bumblebee and rise of the beast. It makes sense of the way they’re behaving. Having more of a lighthearted tone to this movie they’re not at war so they don’t have that stoic attitude they which they will get later on within the movie. The thing is if this movie does well which telling from positive feedback from early screenings most likely I really hope they when it comes to this new continuity of transformers, they take the time to improve the story the pacing overall everything. The real problem is the G.I. Joe crossover movie. I feel like that’s a little early and we don’t know if they are going to introduce characters from the previous G.I. Joe movies or introduce a new G.I. Joe for this continuity and how will that work because I know there’s multiple characters in G.I. Joe and with the autobots that’s a lot of characters that need to be bounced out and that’s gonna be an extremely messy movie and I think it might continuity of the franchise in jeopardy. if you wanna know an example of that happening, look at Ghostbusters frozen Empire number one as you can tell it has way too many characters that it was hard to balance out. They left some characters to be outshined by other characters. Some characters were not even well. Flashed out an example of a movie. Balancing out characters is the avengers movie. I’m gonna pick up infinity war because I felt like they had all the characters balanced out. Everyone got equal amount of screen time and got their times of shine. That is what I am afraid of when it comes to Transformers that they won’t balance out the characters Characters will shine overshadowing other characters
Well, the GI Joe crossover probably won't be such a bad thing considering at the end of ROTB they introduced GI Joe on how they were figuring things out that happened in Peru, GI Joe has always been an organization that responds to threats all around the world, maybe sector 7 too but let's be honest sector 7 from the bumblebee movie doesn't seem to be THAT advanced like the joes are. I see this being something similar to transformers prime where they secretly work with the autobots to prevent future threats you know like transformers prime where theirs Silas and mech (which in this it could be cobra and cobra commander), arachnid (or some random Decepticon), unicron (except not being the earth). I mean I'm not going to discourage the movie if right now if I don't know the general plot of it

Good morning. I saw the trailer yesterday, and it was awesome and hilarious.
I would say it’s part of the reboot because I like it better than all of the Michael Bay movies except for one and three
NGL, I'm a little 50/50 on liking this new concept of how some Transformers can... TRANSFORM, but it does kind of seem like the opposite of the whole T-cog and Amalgamous Prime thing. Since the 9th Prime, it seemed like Primus would design these guys to all have T-cogs. But I still think that's a cool idea to make some transform and others not because of their social classes.
I don't think it is connected tho. Wish we could go back to the bayverse tho. But its cool to see more movies for transformers coming out in a faster pace than rotb
Ive never seen transformers struggle to transform, this looks interesting. But the art style will definitely have some getting use too. And Finally a movie without humans and on cybertron.

I'd say it is it's own thing but it's done in a way you can canonize it yourself to be connected to either Bayverse or the rebooted timeline

Personally, I think it is going to be a part of the rebooted continuity since it has several callbacks to Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts. However, I'm taking this with a Devastator sized grain of salt considering that one of the executive producers is the infamous Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who constantly contradicts himself and frustrates me a lot more than Michael Bay.
I have to say, Chris Hemsworth is doing a GREAT job! He genuinely sounds like a young Peter Cullen.
I believe that Transformers One is its own story and not connected to the Live Action movies.
Most watchers are movie goers that dont have too much knowledge about transformers; the reason as to why some information are taken from other movies like for example, bumblebee's name b-127. It may not mean that its connected but the writers want you to have atleast have some background information you've seen before without explaining too much

Even tho it would be interesting to have another continuity on the big screen, along with the other Bayverse and the Knightverse, i would rather have this one be a prequel to the Knightverse so it wouldn't get confusing to the audience.
We like to understand which continuity each movie belongs to, however some people dont really do the research and just get confused. Furthermore, the producers and other movie directors coming into the franchise can also get mix up with the continuity when working on a new movie.

I honestly really hope it's gonna be connected with the newest Transformers live action movie universe. Like you said B-127's vehicle mode is very reminiscent of his vehicle mode in the Bumblebee movie. It's possible he just got upgraded over the years because of war. And lots of the buildings in the background look an awful lot like something we saw in the opening battle in Bumblebee.

Apparently, Transformers One is connected to *ALL* Transformers media. Armada, Bayverse, G1, TFP, you name it. This can mean one of two things.
1: There is no reboot
2: This movie is in its own world

I prefer that Transformers One be a standalone, it's own thing and it's own thing separate from the Bayverse and the reboot. Transformers One is the Transformers movie I've waited for a while. Just a movie with the Transformers being the centre. No humans, just Cybertronians, Quintessons and other things that's not a relation to Earth. Not forgetting the quality visuals and 3D animation. I just think Transformers should just be a 3D animated movie and not live-action since it's hard to please people. Bayverse got complained not only because of the story but mostly because the designs not being G1. And the reboot on the hand causes glaring issues for me. The Transformers designs for the reboot hurts my eyes more than the Bayverse designs for some reason (it's definitely not because the reboot designs are basically just oversized toys and not mechanical sentient aliens from outer space).
Im pretty sure if this movie is good, then this film may just birth the animated franchise of what we've wanted from Transformers since G1.
I really hope they use it as another universe or something like the multiverse of transformers reality. I mean if you think of it like that anything can happen in any reality and it won't hurt the other timeline... They can be the same but separate... Get it? 😅

I wish the bayverse continued. Not because I want bay back bc I don't but I know we would've gotten more films like bumblebee if we did since it was created as a prequel until they made the cybertron scene and robbed us of one of the best live action megatron designs ever. Bumblebee's prequel cut was the perfect balance between action, heart, character and simplicity we wanted for so long.
To be honest I hope that it is not connected to the bayformers and the reboot live action movies because I was disappointed with rise of the beast I would give that movie 6/10 or 5/10

TFOne should be its own continuity. ROTB soured me a lot. It felt too much like decaffeinated Bayformers, and why would I want that? If I wanted Bayhem, which no thanks, I´d go full on.

If it was connected to the Knightverse, I for one would be very surprised. Its gonna be fun anyway but an origin for that specific Optimus Prime and Megatron (who we STILL have never seen) would be awesome.
I’m convinced that this is its own thing. As for a continuity name, well this film has several references to several Transformers stuff over the past 40 years and Hasbro has tried this before. So what do you all think of the name…

I love the Transformers franchise, but I don’t really know the Pre-War lore all that well. But my Dad (who’s been around before it first came out) said that their not sticking to the lore. But it looks cool I think, and I’m excited.
Depending on how the Transformers X G.I Joe movie goes. If it’s good I could see it being apart of the universe, if it fails then I think they’ll use Transformers One as a spring board for new films. I’d like it to be apart of the new rebooted films tho.
It's not and I'm glad. Honestly not a fan of this. Massively dissapointed with the trailer way too childish, too comedic, designs are reminder of EarthSpark which I dislike a lot and don't like them.
