    Thank you so much, I truly needed your message. I have been struggling with self-doubt and comparing myself and I appreciated hearing when you said you had to read the book over and over for things to sink in. I’m in 3rd semester and even though I am much more confident than before, I still question myself. Thank you for the support.

    I struggle with this a lot. I am not an A student. I’m a pre nursing student at a community college I took my first pre req course intro to anatomy and physiology I failed my test and lab practical. I drop the class. I felt like a failure I wasn’t understanding the material I was very hard on myself. I felt like I wasn’t smart enough. I didn’t know how to properly study for a class like that. I want to be an LVN. Plus I graduated from college with a 2.23 GPA compared to other people I am not that smart. I won’t get into nursing school with a GPA that low compared to others who have a 3.0 and above. Thanks for the video.

    Hi Nurse Nacole, it’s so nice to hear this! I am not a new nurse but I am new to critical care and I am fearful everyday. It’s nice to hear when others feel the same way and can relate. I believe we work at the same hospital. Maybe I’ll see you around sometime. Congrats on your ARNP!! And thanks for your videos!

    Going back for your Doctorate? What will your title be then?? What is your goal?? I am a 2nd semester nursing student. I went back to college for new career after 30 years....... SCARY~!!!!! So, I get it~!!!

    • @NurseNacole

      Same title and my goal is to teach and work, mainly to further my education to the highest level and maybe publish a few things. It's scary, but don't allow that to stop you. You are going to be an amazing caregiver!

    I've just moved to a tertiary paeds hospital on a permanent rotation program. I've done paeds nursing for 4-5 years since I finished my university training and really am passionate about paeds nursing, can't imagine doing any other specialty (other than maybe gynae/womens health). I just started a new rotation on the medical ward and felt lacking in support. My supernumerary day I was just thrown in because of staff shortages, there's so much I don't really know but am just winging it? I was contacted by my manager that I'll be placed on a supernumerary day tomorrow because there have been some issues lately... and now I feel like I'm losing confidence in my abilities to do this (yet again). My motivation for nursing goes up and down. I want to get better and eventually be a NP, CNS, CNE or some such, but I'm so afraid of messing up and the more education that I do the more of a fraud of a nurse I feel. (People think I know more than I actually do?) Is it I'm just doubting myself too much and not giving myself enough credit, I'm not sure. Don't really know how to get out of this rut, hopefully I feel like I've got this a bit more as time goes on. :/

      We all have been there, you are not alone. Nursing is emotionally taxing. It's okay to love it and have moments is annoys you, haha. We have all been there. Thank you for taking the time to share your story.

    Hello Nurse Nicole I am starting my new job soon on an inpatient rehab floor. And while I’m waiting what do you suggest I go over?

    • @NurseNacole
      @NurseNacole  4 роки тому +2

      Rehab, I'm not familiar with that patient population. I would contact your manager and ask for a top 5 list of disease most of your patients will experience. From there, study those and see what will be expected of you. Oh, and congrats!
