Believe me Sir when you said in the video about not wanting to bore us from cutting off the fine detailed parts painting and glueing the parts together. Especially myself and who knows how many other modelers who are beginners might feel the same way as I do. Please don't think you have to cut corners just to please the experienced modelers. I would like to learn a great deal about cutting these very fine parts so I wouldn't break the parts. Thank You for taking the time to read my questions and comments. Sincerely Allan
It's all about the interior so I think using all clear parts is the right choice. So cool to see through the turret and see the details inside. Really going to look great when displayed.
Oh bollocks....113 and 213, that means that I've got to get one! Beautiful build so far Andy and great with all the heads ups as well! Looking forward to see the rest come together! 👍👌👏
So many videos back - 2 - back! Keep up the great content Andy! This channel inspired me to take up scale modeling last year. I've definitely purchased many of the models you have built and used your videos as a guide. Thanks again!
Andy you must have the patience of a saint, fair play to you, great video mate, it a really big help to all the not so good modellers like myself. Thanks again.
Thanks for that Andy a great kit and a fantastic walkthrough and introduction to it. Panthers, Panthers everywhere. Think I might have to change my favourite from the Tiger I. Thanks again..
Wow. I made the 1:16 Panther G from Tamiya as an RC model and it was besides the "Wappen of Hamburg" sailing battle ship from Revell the most sophisticated model I've ever made. This is it times 1000 👌
Andy, you taught me how to model. And I'm very thankful for this. I have this idea - It will be super cool if you made this model half of it clear and half of it like a normal tank. You will have to cut the parts, but it will be so amazing!
As someone who started off building cars...an old car makers trick for 'clear' or 'glass' parts is to use a (small in your case) drop of clear gloss paint. Can't even tell it's there. This has never failed me...just let it dry thoroughly and yer golden! Hope this helps.
As always, it is great fun to watch Andy's build. Here is a tip for making paint adhere to brass photoetch; use AK Interactive's Photoetch burnishing fluid.
Hey Andy, love your videos! With these extra parts maybe you will have enough left over to build a pantherturm. Would be a great addition to the Panther collection
Superb job Andy good choice on the clear parts about the painting. About the p.e. try to sand them a little bit before painting it will help the paint to stick on it better my opinion with a 1000 grit sandpaper. Keep up the good work, thanks for all the great vids.
Testers sell glue for clear polystyrene parts that dries clear and wont fog. It takes longer to set up and is more flexible, but is sold for use with like model car windshields. I found it works pretty good.
Im still waiting on my next tank to build :( ....(its my most favorite tank in the world) ......Revell Kanonenjagdpanzer (KaJaPa) 1/35,should arive next week :)
I just got done with the turret....I am going to have a nervous break down from this clear stuff and all these small parts...I am 55 and a long time builder....but I think I met my match....
Cool kit Andy! would love to know the specifics on how you glue the painted subassemblies to other things? Do you just scrape away paint so the glue sticks?
I too had an issue with one piece of etch being a tiny bit too long ...but the torsion rods fitted pretty well ...I think it’s a question of just not pushing the tub edges too close at their base into to their respective fitting points ...annoying that one piece of etch was clearly too long ...
I think what would be cool would be to partially paint the hull. Keep most of it clear so you can see inside where you want to, then paint the other parts for the full effect
Andy, i am not sure if you are aware yet but i noticed as you put on the sides you have the two long upper sponsons reversed. I am building the kit and made the same mistake and had to carefully remove them to put them on the correct side.
Really love your weathering results, it would be awesome if you would show us how you achieve the results you are showing us. You mentioned finding a video you found where they was redoing a Panther gun and it would be sweet if you would share that link. All in all great videos but sure wish you would provide more detail on the process and links to resources you have found useful. You say you dont want to bore us with the details and I say please bore us and those that find it boring can learn how to use a mouse to move past those areas that bore them...;)
Amazing kit! Looking good Andy, great build/video. All these Panthers, just months apart, lot of happy modellers out there. Now, when will Takom release that Bergepanther......................?!?!?!
What a cool video! Andy I have a question. Around 15:16, would the teeth on part A93 and B93 mesh into each other, and lock the gun at a fixed elevation? Would the gun freely elevate up and down when you are done assembling the turret? Though the gun assembly rides on a pair of poly caps, the presence of A93 & B93 makes me wonder if they are in the way. In the Takom Panther, the center gear in B93 is molded separately and can be rotated along freely when you elevate the gun.
Hey Andy , very nice kit indeed , but a little remark de sidesponsons are upside down, all the fittings for the ammoracks are just above your wheels You need to put them the other way around with the racks on the upper part of the sponsons. Keep up the good work , Sophie
Great work again Andy:-) But how about building some new tanks? We are literally flooded with Panters and Tigers. I think a lot of us would like to see some modern tanks for example T-90 and T-72 which are used in current conflicts, for example in Syria. Pity nobody builds these tanks in 1.48 scale. Cheers from Slovakia:-)
The edging on the turret was a genius idea ...going to do the same with mine ...looking at your build of the gun mantle did you use the photo etch parts - I couldn’t see them ... Ric
Any decals for Panzer Grenadier Grossdeutchland? Crew and Choices for Panzer divisions are most important. Well, everybody has different wants and tastes.
I like the exploded view you did on the other tank, but i like this clear plastic better. You get to see more detail i think. But i really suck with the clear plastic, I cant help but to get spider veins when i go to cut and sand the parts. I've tried all different ways but still the same outcome.
Brilliant video thanks. Can I ask what you used to glue to the vlear parts I made the rfm tiger and the clear parts have blurred if you know what I mean
Andy your a model building machine!!! Awesome vid!!!! Dont know if i would use the clear parts , i think i would have all hatches open, engine hatch as well. Clear plastic ....nope Paint em But still amazing video Andy!! Cheers!!
Only just found this video, after subscribing to the channel last week. Happy for someone to correct me, but the blue-gray colour that German tanks used wasn't as dark as you showed on the turret basket
Andy do use a paint booth or respirator when you airbrush? I am about to start airbrushing and wondering if I will need these things. Thanks and really enjoy your videos.
Hi Andy, I just bought this kit and am looking forward to putting it together. Can you please let me know what type of glue do you use to glue the plastic parts to the clear parts? Just the regular thin plastic cement? Also would it be possible to list all the colors you used?
In the instructions for the 44 version, it shows cutting multiple items off the turret!? Is there a safe way to remove those items without ruining the clear turret?
Believe me Sir when you said in the video about not wanting to bore us from cutting off the fine detailed parts painting and glueing the parts together. Especially myself and who knows how many other modelers who are beginners might feel the same way as I do.

This kit is over the top!!!! CRAZY!!!!!!
30 minutes of andy building, time to get popcorn.
the tank looks awsome!
You've never bored me with a single build, paint and/or weathering video Andy!!! Huge thumbs up!!
Hot damn that thing is gloriously, insanely, way over the top detailed.... I need one in my life.
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL ITS THE MOST RELAXING THING I HAVE EVER WATCHED. PERIOD.
That box is so intimidating.
Please show more of how you paint the parts. Particularly when you're weathering them. These is what makes your previous videos so cool to watch.
holy hell, This is going to be so much fun to build
I'll make sure I have a bottle of aspirin next to me when I build This kit. Great job Andy.
Agreed. Looks like a lot of poorly designed part fit.
It's all about the interior so I think using all clear parts is the right choice. So cool to see through the turret and see the details inside. Really going to look great when displayed.
just ordered the kit, your videos encouraged me to embark on this journey.thanks, and keep up the good work!
WOW Andy, that box is BIG enough to fit a full scale of the tank. Thanks for sharing, you did a great job. Joe
Oh bollocks....113 and 213, that means that I've got to get one!
Beautiful build so far Andy and great with all the heads ups as well! Looking forward to see the rest come together! 👍👌👏

Superb build superbly presented.
Looking forward to part 2
Andy you must have the patience of a saint, fair play to you, great video mate, it a really big help to all the not so good modellers like myself. Thanks again.
Genius idea to paint the band on the lower portion of the turret, worked perfectly.
Excellent job!,look forward to more episodes of the build'
Thanks for that Andy a great kit and a fantastic walkthrough and introduction to it. Panthers, Panthers everywhere. Think I might have to change my favourite from the Tiger I. Thanks again..
I'm really enjoying your full interior build videos. Looking forward to the rest!
Brilliant work, Andy. 30 minutes of the video goes like one, thank you for sharing. Can't wait for next parts :) Regards from Russia.
Wow. I made the 1:16 Panther G from Tamiya as an RC model and it was besides the "Wappen of Hamburg" sailing battle ship from Revell the most sophisticated model I've ever made.
This is it times 1000 👌
Wow, awesome model! Great job Andy.
Fantastic kit. Nice build Thanks for a great vidieo
I like the idea of half and half paint job, one way it's painted, turn it around and you can see into it. Either way it will be stunning.
Hello Andy, As much of a bear this kit looks to build it is just too cool not to have. I WILL
be getting it. Great video as always, keep 'em coming.
Great job Andy! I'm building the Tiger I with full interior from Ryefield Model, and i think its a great kit! No fit problems and fun to build! :-)
This is a great bild with so much fun, greetings from the Netherlands
Forgot to say, love the videos, please keep them coming.
Andy, you taught me how to model. And I'm very thankful for this. I have this idea - It will be super cool if you made this model half of it clear and half of it like a normal tank. You will have to cut the parts, but it will be so amazing!
Tamiya is being edged out by some of these new manufacturers. The detail with the mold processes is super impressive.
Great video. Very detailed. Looking forward to the next one!
That like to dislike ratio is incredible! Great video as always
wow!!!!!!! That's a scary good work! Seems to be so much fun!
wow! that is such a cool kit! You're doing a fantastic job! looking forward to the next video!
Awesome build, Andy!
Stunning kit!!😱😍
It's realy amazing!!! I'm looking forward to part 2 (and 3, 4...;) ).

Sweet! As soon as I get my house back together (thanks Harvey) I'm going to start on my Takom Tiger II.
Great work as always! Thank you for sharing.

Nice work Andy👍👍👍
Great job andy
Been watching your videos for about a year. Just realized you are based in Arizona. I will have to stop by. :)
nice model i cant wait when you build it
As always, it is great fun to watch Andy's build. Here is a tip for making paint adhere to brass photoetch; use AK Interactive's Photoetch burnishing fluid.
nah, just sand the PE, then paint.
Hey Andy, love your videos! With these extra parts maybe you will have enough left over to build a pantherturm. Would be a great addition to the Panther collection
I wish i could build That!! Thankyou for sharing Andy! Hello from.mexico!!
Wow, incredible amount of detail in this kit. Turret looks amazing. Can’t wait to see the rest of it. 👍🏻🇦🇺
liked this video so much that I just bought the kit from you :-)
Superb job Andy good choice on the clear parts about the painting. About the p.e. try to sand them a little bit before painting it will help the paint to stick on it better my opinion with a 1000 grit sandpaper. Keep up the good work, thanks for all the great vids.

Cool video just finished making a tank
Homer Simpson Lol me too I just finished a tiny little 1/72 JS-2
Im still waiting on my next tank to build :( ....(its my most favorite tank in the world) ......Revell Kanonenjagdpanzer (KaJaPa) 1/35,should arive next week :)
Paint it half cammo, half transparent
I just got done with the turret....I am going to have a nervous break down from this clear stuff and all these small parts...I am 55 and a long time builder....but I think I met my match....
Cool kit Andy! would love to know the specifics on how you glue the painted subassemblies to other things? Do you just scrape away paint so the glue sticks?
I know I'm late to the party here, but are these kits still available? You mentioned the 'first run' including a transparent hull
ohhhh yessss.... got to have this one
I love full interior kit
Hi Andy, what king of glue did you use on the clear parts? Thx very good job.
I too had an issue with one piece of etch being a tiny bit too long ...but the torsion rods fitted pretty well ...I think it’s a question of just not pushing the tub edges too close at their base into to their respective fitting points ...annoying that one piece of etch was clearly too long ...

Gotta get myself one of these, love a challenge.

I heard march
I can hardly wait...................hands trembling!!! We have waited so long for a decent kit of this tank!!!
It will be awesome for it to build it
I was thinking a similar idea for the clear bits, mask off areas to be viewable so you can still do a paint job. Be nice to wire in a little light
This is awesome Thanks Andy!!!
Thanks for watching
Very nice
I just received this model .wow

Hi Andy i just got that kit a couple days ago
Very nice Andy. Shame they don't include standard parts as well as the clear body parts but of course that would add to the kits cost.
The edging on the turret was a genius idea ...going to do the same with mine ...looking at your build of the gun mantle did you use the photo etch parts - I couldn’t see them ...

I was looking up panther kits when this showed up lol
Only just found this video, after subscribing to the channel last week. Happy for someone to correct me, but the blue-gray colour that German tanks used wasn't as dark as you showed on the turret basket

Hello from Kazakhstan!
Hello Kazakhstan from Roswell New Mexico!
Hello Kazakhstan and Roswell New Mexico from New-Brunswick, Canada!
I beleive the "loose "suspension arms help if you want an uneven diorama
Have you heard of "glue n glaze" by Deluxe Materials? It's great for gluing clear parts and making small windows 😁
Hi Andy, I just bought this kit and am looking forward to putting it together. Can you please let me know what type of glue do you use to glue the plastic parts to the clear parts? Just the regular thin plastic cement? Also would it be possible to list all the colors you used?
I don't think I've been this early.
Edit: when you finish you should display it with the full interior king tiger!
greetings from serbia
In the instructions for the 44 version, it shows cutting multiple items off the turret!? Is there a safe way to remove those items without ruining the clear turret?
Are you the hull Pannier plate are correct Seem like all the ammo rack and firewall locator are flip to the outside of the hull ?
whohoo, totally buying
Can't wait to get a copy! What type of glue did you use to prevent fogging of the clear turret and hull? Thanks for showing the build process.
Pva will work
You should be fine using normal plastic glue like Tamiya extra thin. Just don’t use CA glue.
