    One of the biggest mistake ive done in modelling was convincing myself that i needed PE parts for most of my kits. Never had i felt such frustration when i was failing in bending microscopic parts perfectly and then getting glue all over my fingers for things that really didnt stand out that much. Some parts PE is cool and easy , but the bolts,screws, and hinges is were i draw the line. Might have to try those made in resin instead.

    Great done. Jagdpanther was probably most good-looking from all German armoured vehicles of WWII. And also Your works are very good, especially zimmerit, and these mad tracks. You are very careful, and it is very promising. All the best for You! ;)

    Your old school method with the PE is the most durable, but I have never been able to solder the stuff and resort to CA glue.

    Nice build. This is one I have in the stash, so it's good to see you tackle it.
    Great job on the zimmerit. One point: I may be wrong, but (going from photos and Meng's instructions for SPS-077) I don't think it was applied to the front fenders, just the superstructure and schurzen.

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  Рік тому

      Yea, maybe? The references seem to show that 01 had it on the fenders, but I'm not an expert, and quite frankly I'm not really trying to mimic any particular reference. A lot more study would need to be done, that is for sure. Thanks for watching.

    Nice job Rick! You could pull the tracks a little tighter around the idler wheels and give the tracks a bit more parabolic weight to it.

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  Рік тому +1

      Thanks, and good eye. The tracks are just place-holders at the moment. I still need to take them off, paint, and then re-install. I hope to give them the proper "look" on final fitting. R

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  Рік тому

      Yes, I know that a screw driver can also be used. Probably easier than what I did. Thank you for the reminder.

    • @jaanikaapa6925
      @jaanikaapa6925 Рік тому

      @@RickLawlerPropaganda Hey, I actually made a mistake. There were 2-3 different patterns of zimmerit. The pattern you used would be really difficult to do with the screwdriver. The ladder pattern would be the one for screwdriver.
      Though I was thinking about the problem you were facing with the putty. There's this trick wargamers use with basing using epoxy putty: a little bit of CA glue to tie the putty in place.
      I've used Brown Stuff and CA glue together on basing. I've actually handled concrete that's easier to separate. :)

    Modell gut, gefällt mir.Nur der Durchhang der Ketten ist nicht schön und realistisch!....Es gibt viel bessere Ketten im Zubehör als die aufwendig gestalteten Kettenglieder von Meng mit einzeln anzubringenden Leitzähnen.Die Arbeit ist Wahnsinn und unnötig.Aber sonst schön gebaut.Greetz from Germany!
