Thankyouthankyouthankyou for giving me the chance to be part of this video! The Pickup Music team behind it all is just amazing, and I feel absolutely honoured to have been able to play alongside so many outrageously good players. 🔥🔥
I stand in awe of your oneness with the instrument… You are an amazing talent. Wishing you all the fame and fortune you obviously worked so hard for. Can I be your groupie? 😉 God bless ya Ala… You plant smiles everywhere you play… Ludic is sensational… 🙏

@@gateCodeKC I agree!! The jazz lines Cecil played were cool, but I like a more melodic groove/ improv for this particular tune. Like Kaspar Jalily pulled off. He played very melodic lines, with some diminished runs in between, but not overly done. Very smooth. Cecil Alexander is a great jazz guitarist. He also through in some diminished and chromatic lines during the turnaround, but wasn't as melodic as Kaspar, in my opinion. Kaspar smoked, on this one no doubt!!👍🎩👍
You know it’s a great collaboration when you want to pick a best or favorite, but can’t because you find something uniquely incredible in each player’s contribution. The win goes to all involved.
You should check out Jared Dines, he's got a playlist called Musicians From Around The World, where he does similar videos like this with a bunch of people from all over. And then of course there's his biggest shred collab vids.
As a guitarist myself, I'm not really sure which I like BEST as they are all amazing in their own way. But for sure l LOVE that each player appears to be 'FEELING' the music (above and beyond just 'playing' it)... Funk-Face and all... Truly Fantastic!!!
I'm a huge Ruben fan but for this round my favorites are from Sophie, Ayla, Rodrigo, and oh my God, how can you not like what Justin-Lee did there? Can't wait for the next round!
🙏🙏🙏 Thanks Jude Smith for producing and all the artists for joining in! If you want to jam, download the track on www.pickupmusic.com/ under "Jam Tracks". Stay tuned for the next round ;)
I would LOVE to join you guys on this track (or any other else)... What am I supposed to do...? Just download it, start jamming then send the video and my audio track to you guys...? Should I send my audio track isolated, then you guys put it on the project and mix this...?
This was super fun! Decided to download it and give it a try. I wouldn’t want to go toe to toe with any of these axe slinging street fighters but I’d appreciate if you checked it out👊🏼 ua-cam.com/video/iJjDDpGoPaM/v-deo.html

I might sound biased cuz i been taking lessons from cecil but him the first boi ruben and the dude after him were my faves some of the most creative lines were in there
Yeah I wanna learn how to play like that. This fusion /neo soul guitar thing seems having another box, pentatonic and then arpeggio box. Especially without key changing like this, jamming could be extremely boring. Yeah they can add fancy techniques with whammy bar and tapping, but what they playing basically is just same thing over and over. I kinda bored before I master it. But Cecil breaking those boxes right away yet sounds so cool. How to do that?
@@Danumurti18 study bebop my friend. It radically changed my approach to my solos and improv for the better. I’d suggest blue train album by John Coltrane and pull up the LIST approach to transcribing jazz solos. It can be extremely tedious, but it is very much worth the effort
Excellent guitar playing, lots of beards, funkyness, what's not to love? Such a wide range of guitar techniques and tones too! I liked the inclusion of a drummer! It really added an interesting aspect to that part of the song, providing contrast.
Amazing work everyone! I'm so late to this, but wow Jaw dropping performances all around. It really showcases that every guitarist is unique in their own right.

That shot of cecil’s left hand and the shot moves with the hand is awesome. Reminds me of an arcade fighter dancing around a screen.
Ayla for the win, sound, licks, phrases, guitar, come on she's got everything. Great job girl!
