Some people think this is a small upgrade but as someone who owns original air? I can tell you they addressed all of the issues i had with it.
The color accuracy was my biggest issue and that has been fixed
Darks on the original had no infirmation and mow they are claiming photo editing monitor levels of color gradiant reproduction in the dark regions. Now we will be able to see whats happening in dark parts of movies!
Minor improvements like more power efficient, more confortable, bettter speakers, and better optics, all contribute to a better experince as well. I also really like the adusting shade darkness as previously i only used them in darker rooms. Now they should be good in bright ones too. These are an instant upgrade buy for me.

It does seem that way, nothing on its own is a major change 👍
Man the change to the arms (flex) and weight (lighter and better distributed) is HUGE change, call it the Air 9000 as far as I'm concerned. Many folks like myself immediately returned them just based on this alone - can't use something that is constantly putting me in pain. To folks like me they've gone from being useless trash to being an actual product, that's a huge upgrade.
This isn't an upgrade for existing users, it's allowing them to get more users. I'm excited as hell

Thanks for doing a run through, I really want to know about comfort of the pros. I have had to try and mod mine because they are just too uncomfortable after a few hours.
I think the Air 2's and Air 2 Pro's will be slightly more comfortable than the Original Airs, but will try and compare and do a video about them when the Air 2 arrives 🤞.

Yeah it does need more development. The nebula app for windows is useful (if it works well with your laptop/PC) as that can give you multiple screens. I find the nebula app for your phone is pretty much useless as there isn't anything I want to use with it. So much more development is needed asap.
I never had an opportunity to try the original XREAL Air but I did get to try the XREAL Air 2 at Tokyo Game Show a few days ago. Very impressive tech and apparently there's a slight discount if you pre-order. I'll probably wait for proper reviews though.

These work with an Android phone? Any app can be shown?
You would need a usb c port with display out on the Android phone for it to work, and it will mirror what you are seeing on the phone. If the phone doesn't have that then you can get the XREAL Beam which will allow greater compatability with more phones as it will allow wireless display streaming 👍
When will the start selling in the U.S ?
There's meant to be some kind of announcement/launch in October, but I don't know if that is just rumour or likely, if I hear anything then I'll update 👍

It has slight improvements which do make it better overall, just need XREAL to work on their software now 👍
What's the difference between Pro version?
the pro version has photochromic lenses on the glasses, so you can adjust the darkness of the lenses to see your environment better, or to focus on the image in the glasses better. You shouldn't need the lens cover that is with the Air 1's with the Pro version of the Air 2. There is no other difference from what I have seen so far. Hope that helps 👍

Any suggestions on where to order from?
If you're in the UK then there is either ebay or aliexpress. I purchased my Air 1's off ebay, and XREAL were still willing to honour the warranty when an issue came up, so hopefully aliexpress would be the same and come with a warranty direct with XREAL. I have purchased my XREAL Air 2's on Aliexpress. Just don't forget there will be import charges to the UK, so 20% extra
So the difference between air 2 and air 2 pro is the shifting shade only ?
That's the only difference I have seen so far, I haven't seen a list of specs for the Pro though, but I don't think there are any other differences 👍
Yay for not-so-pro photochromatic lenses 🙄 Lens options should just be standard on the Air 2. I would have jumped on the Air 2 Pro if they had any increases in resolution and FOV. I suspect they will be outdone very soon by a competitor...
@@FromDesertTown Yeah, a wider FOV is drastically needed. As for being outdone by a competitor, take a look at www.visor.com its a newly announced headset that works with your PC, designed by the team behind the immersed work productivity app. It has an open system and runs on open xr, so hopefully will be modded to work without the need for a PC. It has everything needed to run standalone, just also needs development. But will be far ahead of XREAL for use with a PC 👍

Same here! And honestly they are hard to wear but I hear the beam will solve most of the issues like the corners being blurry and even hidden. This has been my main issue. My other huge issue is the glasses reflecting my shirt but I got a shade cover from etsy just sucks because it ruins the look.

Confused brother, these aren’t being shown on their website at all, I see nothing market as x air 2? Can you help me grasp, seeing them all over eBay but don’t know why the company site hasn’t acknowledged it lmao
They aren't available outside of china ATM, so they wouldn't have it on their website outside of that region. They are targeting mod to late Oct for a europe and NA release of the 2, according to their rep on discord. I didn't hear about the air 2 pro

XREAL needs to remove the cable and make it blue tooth also find a way to cut the OLED screen to make them look like real glasses and not glasses that stick out too much. We also need good battery life once the cable is gone.
A wireless solution and with a battery would make them more bulky unfortunately, but to have more options would be good 👍 a lot of focus on software is now needed.
@DayDreamerVR so true, but their already bulky from the front with the oled screen. Their another company that better their just 700 dollars, and they have a remote control ring as a controller.

Yeah, first ones are still good, and you probably wouldn't notice much to upgrade. If you didn't have the 1st gen though, and we're looking to buy a pair, then these are the ones to go for 👍
I'm not buying until they put 4k display with 120hz
It is incredibly clear, even at 1920x1080, which I think is due to the low field of view, meaning the pixels per degree is high. If the FOV is ever increased then 4k could be crucial 👍
@@DayDreamerVR oh thank you for the response, really appreciate it! If 1080p will suffice then FOV must be really small, oh man I'm so confused now, I was thinking this will give me a huge screen in front of my face.
@dark420passenger The FOV is about 50 degrees, which means it is similar to having a 32 inch monitor at around 1 meter distance from you. It is still good, but it isn't on the same level as VR headsets for field of view as they are around 100 degrees or more, hope that helps 👍

dunno chief, the design is questionable....not the technical specs. specs are awesome but maybe 2k next gen hopefully.
Yeah, it would be good to have a higher resolution, but it will be interesting to see if the extra brightness and better colour and black levels will improve clarity. Thanks for the comment 👍
If they can fix the color balance and make them brighter. I’m 100% in.
These things are awesome to hook up to my iPad. Look straight at the ceiling and watch my shows. Way better experience than holding a tablet or sitting watching a tv. If you have extra money, they’re worth every penny. I’m not paid by them, just really enjoy them.
@Baolapao don't get me wrong. i was very close to buying one of them, but the PPI, colour and brightnessness is not there. I just hope v3 vastly improves on the electrochromaic filters that we don't need a black cover. And a new glasses design, imagine if they teamed up with glasses manufactures for these!
@Baolapao I have the nreal light and I have no issues with brightness outside in daylight. I don't even have them set at max.

I believe it should be the same FOV as the original Airs, but that is around 50 degree, so is quite small
I believe these aren’t even real- not even marketed on their UA-cam channel, let alone website…. Beware
They were announced/released in China only on the 12th, so are genuine, but are just in the very early stages of public use. It is surprising they haven't put more material out there, but would expect more for any US release 👍
@@DayDreamerVR curious as to how you prefer these over the vitrues? After all my research it seems that those are the most actualized version of this product- integrated console gaming, actual support with iPhone…?
@@b.cfilms1570 I haven't tried the Viture One glasses but I have looked into the details and this is what I think: The FOV is more limited, at just 43 degrees, which means a smaller display, and I find the 50 degrees on Xreal Airs already quite limiting. Viture has a much brighter display which is good for brighter environments. I'm not keen on the neck band addition, and prefer the Xreal Beam. That said, both support iPhone and Android, although xreal have a lot of work to do, and I don't know what state viture software is in. Not much content out there covering some of these devices, so it really is early to adopt these products, but I don't know how much content there will be over the coming months. I know this probably doesn't help much, but if you do go for the Viture glasses I'd be interested to hear how you get on 👍
