What do I mean about that: - You dont need to be a developer - You just need to install visual studio code, copy any javascript code you can find in internet and paste in visual studio code - Tell us if it is possible to see the letters clearly or if there is any disconfort, distortion etc... Please, do it. Everybody is talking just about watching movies, playing games... but Xreal has a much more bigger potential than just that.
Having this is a mixed bag, I have a pair of Air 2's and I'm not sure is it me or everyone else is experiencing this but the sides of the screen is slightly blurry (top bottom left and right). Maybe my head is big or something, but I need to shift the glasses depending on where I want to look at to see it clearly. I do not own Xreal's Beam so I am not sure will those help but essentially by using the Beam, you can probably make do with it as it makes the screen "fixed" to a certain area, making it like an actual screen without it constantly following you where you are looking at. So to answer your question, no its not worth it as a software developer for now. BUT there is a software called "Ginger XR" which allows you to have up to 3 virtual monitors which I think is extremely useful. But as of now its only compatible with the Xreal Air 1. Hope this answers your question and everyone else's curiosity, have a good day.
