  • We have so many vehicles and artillery pieces to move around today. Elliot has his first go at glass blasting as we get the BTR-60PU 12 and a FV436 ready for a restoration. But to do that it means a lot of moving heavy things around!

We used to call the SAs on the 434s - Lockouts. I used to drive one with the mech inf in Germany in 1977 to 1979.

Had a friend who had a business importing your decommissioned military vehicles (to the states) I thoroughly enjoyed wrenching and helping him repainting them. My favorite was the FV432 not sure why. The Ferret was the most fun to drive. I haven't been around them in many years and watching your uploads brings back fond memories. Watching your videos I realize I was very fortunate that the ones he bought I didn't have to do nearly as much repairs as you all have shown.

It not a flag, It’s a REME unit marking signifying the unit that captured/recovered it in the gulf war. The Arabic writing beneath the flag spells out REME written phonetically

Just thinking about how this UK repair yard compares to the ones scattered around Russia that have been reconditioning their armor vehicles for use in the war with Ukraine

Well…..UK repair yards will be backed and semi or 💯% funded by the state by other sponsors and donors nationally or internationally, their work sanctioned and supported, I know for a fact the company I work for in Australia send refurbished Automotive and specialty toolkits for military equipment to Ukraine with specialist machining and manufacturing machines such as lathes, CNC machines and commercial 3D printers……As for the Russians their on their own.

Me thinks someone messed up the German flag. German Army used various Palm Tree markings for their vehicles in desert areas. Perhaps an attempt at hiding the true identity of the vehicle?
