- In this one we finally get around to pulling out the engine pack on the Abbot, fixing the starter motor and all the leaks and now have it all ready to go back on the road again.
Plenty of other videos on my channel of the Abbot when it was running previously and taking it on the road.
Where should we take it next?
Not something you see everyday , thanks for showing us .
I am surpised your little digger could pull the Abbot out of the shed - great video as always
I expected to be going down a mine or diving some treasure wreck but instead i fixed a tank today. The things i get up to here in Thailand , i amaze myself sometimes. Thanks Ben for another cracking Video
Haha I like to keep you all guessing.

BACK AGAIN WITH JEREMY ABOVE...
Great video, as always. It handled brilliantly on its test run. The crane on the Stolly is quite impressive 😮
Best it’s ever run now. Had the engine out a couple times but getting the hang of it now. First time was a lot slower!
Thanks and very pleased to see the Stolly doing one of the jobs it was designed for.
Stolly that identifies as a Foden
Running very nicely.
🙂👍
Great video Ben 👍🏻
🙂👍👍
Thanks
😍👍👍 many thanks and much appreciated
Good work. 👍👍
🙂👍
Abbot seems to respond to a good hand want surprizing !
Ted would have shown us you using an adjustable to fix the problems.
PS Thank you for a very interesting video, keep them coming.
Lost me a bit there but cheers anyway 🤣👍👍
Makes me wonder how the engineers maintained these machines on deployment / in the field. There must’ve been some interesting custom frames for holding the engines while they were worked on. Thanks Ben, really interesting.
Very nice well done. 👍
awesome. Miss getting the hands dirty like this.
Junkers jumo engine also led to the development of the Napier Deltic engine which had three sets of six opposed pistons in a triangle shape driving a central shaft via gearing , used in deltic locomotives and Royal Navy fast patrol boats .
Sounds like plenty of power ! I remember seeing one of the engines that they put in a Sherman which was made up of possibly 5 Chrysler engines all bolted together ! Bet that’s a nightmare to work on. Lots of carbs and electrics to get right !
Great that Ben 👍 you make these jobs look easy doubt it is though
*Load the fireworks back in & take it green lane-ing!
😍I do still have some big ones left over !!
Now you just need a dog like Mr. Hewes Tanks. Just kidding, loved the video
A dog, another 200,000 subscribers and a lot more money 🤣🤣🤣
WoopWoop! =3
A labour of love, but I can see she is in good hands. Ps where did you learn your craft?
Cheers, it’s getting there. Was in quite a state when I first got it. I’m pretty much self taught, grew up fixing tractors. I’m now a commercial diver by trade so not really anything mechanical 🤣 just making it up and learning as we go.
Good job
🙂👍
Completey watchable, and I just love the testing. I see the barrel is there, hows the gun been disarmed ? Breech block removed ?
Cheers. Yes the army totally disarmed it when it was released. Breach cut, notched then also welded up 😞
😎👍
How are you getting on with the
Scorpion Ben,as there doesn't seem to be
Any other videos on what's happening with it...😮
Well… slowly ! It’s still ticking away. Have sorted the final drive and got that back on. Also the gearbox is fitted . Just need to throw a few days at making up the brake lines, fit the new master cylinders, and then fit the new engine. Still a lot to do but it is getting there.
Will do another video of its progress once we have achieved a bit more
Do i spy a third Stolly?
Haha yeah. Bought that for spares to keep the others going but it’s too good to break. Needs a fair bit of work but it has a good original rolls Royce petrol engine ! 😍
❤💪💪💪
Dear Sir,
Take kids to school in it & offer to transport the local vicar to a service, with a Bride.
Thank you for the video.
Haha would only be a minority of brides up for that I think. Kids would love it though
