Hi, I really like the Embryolisse lait crème concentré. I have combination skin. It is creamy and moisturizes really well but I would like to know if the cream is actually good for my skin. I hope you'll look at it, btw. Your videos have really helped my skin!
Actually do some research next time. It worries me that you were quick to dismiss an entire brand when you had clearly done no research. What exactly is your skincare expertise based on? Working in retail?
@@renjieliu9056 Obviously he is against them but at least he should stop missleading the audience by claiming a NIGHT essential oil will cause dark spots on your skin. The NIGHT recovery essential oil of Kiehl's is used at NIGHT, and as far as i know there is not sunlight during the night so how anyone could get a dark spot then?. Also i have the calendula toner which is free alcohol and free essential oils, etc. and it really helps to calm and hydrate the skin, he said it is a good product but not neccessary, that it goes the so well known subject about toners, originally they were used to compensate the ph of the water, the toner then would help rebalancing your the ph of your skin, now it is used more for hydratation, i love it, it prepares my skin nefore my serum, i follow the 6 layers of toners recommended by south koreans beauty junkie, but that it's just me, there are people like this guy who don't use toners or almost nevr use them and that it's ok, but that it is only his personal preference, that doesn't make a toner bad. In resume those things he said in this video is more his personal taste due his skin needs, and the needs of other people are different therefore the products he criticized are not bad at all, they are just not for him.
I'm with you. My skin had never been this good until i used Midnight Recovery Oil and Moisturising Cream. My skin is glowing when I wake up. I tried using the ordinary Squalene and vitamin c - nah! Waste my $25. Not the same effect as Kiehls. Hi Hyram - feel free to send Midnight Recovery to me! 3 (MR, Avo Eye Cream and Moisturising cream) products you've reviewed are my faves. Hahaha!
I use Kiehl’s ultra facial cleanser and I love it. It is one of the few cleaners that doesn’t irritate my skin. I tried the Larosh Posey (Srry for spelling) normal to dry skin cleanser but it hurt so I have stoped using it. Oh well, I like it!
SAME he mentioned something about not liking kiehls in a different video and I was worried because literally majority of the skin care I use is from them.
Rebecca Bee i never liked them, too expensive i can get La Prerie for the same price almost and i know that they have the best ingredients and i always hated the scent of kiehles product
I swear by Kiehl’s for keeping my skin clear and hydrated. The midnight recovery oil hydrates my skin instantly overnight after long flights (I’m cabin crew). The ultra facial cleanser and moisturiser keep my skin clear and the deep pore cleansing mask cleans and reduces my pores. Different products work for different people 🤷🏻♀️
I love the ultra facial cleanser! On my third tube and it's the best cleanser i've ever used. Little bit goes a long way and it just gets everything off your skin as a second-step cleanser. The Rare Earth mask saves my skin when I break out.
I don't think he's telling people NOT to buy Kiehls, he's mentioned in many videos that he knows different products work on different people, I think he's moreso just trying to tell people what the ingredients say about the product so no one goes out and wastes $50 on a product that has a possibility of irritating them or breaking them out
Daniel Salvador He has said it in all his videos that his purpose is to educate and also reach out to companies so that they can improve. It's purpose is not to harm them. He criticizes its ingredients and the ingredients, they are not gossip, they are facts. And made by the companies themselves.
Doesn’t like fragrance or essential oils and skin care. Immediately subscribes to channel and watches all videos. Finally a skin care expert who understands and knows that fragrance, perfume, or essential oil’s do not belong in skin care products
It wasn’t until I had my daughter in 2018 that I learnt about fragrance in skincare. It was really hard to find any baby body cream that didn’t have fragrance. I then started taking notice of what was in my skin care. Now, I’m obsessed with eliminating those kind of ingredients and looking more into what actually is good for my skin and my daughters. Wish I knew all this years ago.
@@missa2037 I agree and these ingredients lists can be sooo confusing. And you can't help wondering what is this? What is that? I've heard that if a formula has a lot of ingredients and ones that have extremely long names and ones that you just don't recognize is a sign that, most likely, that product is not good for you. Just thought I'd add that.🤷♀️
I've used just about everything keihls makes and it is safe. Other than the midnight recover oil, most of their face products have little or no fragrance. The employees are super informed, so you can call or go see them, and trust their opinion for your skin's needs
I haven't even watched this video yet, I know nothing about this brand or it's ingredients but I already know the reason he's gonna say he hates them is because they have added fragrance and essential oils
Don’t worry about what this guy saying in this video. I’m just starting using Kiehls since 4 days ago and all my acne starting gone... I’m so happy with the result. It gives the glowing effect every time I woke up too! ;)
The avocado eye cream is my favorite. The thickness is perfect under makeup and alone. I tapped it under my eye and it plumped my under eyes like none before. This just shows that someone's trash is another man's treasure.
I don' t know your ages, huns, and l am not rude enough to talk about it 🥰😌. Just wanted to comment that I am 46 and I Iost count of how many eyecreams I' ve tried 🤔😅 I ALLWAYS COME BACK TO MY 🥑👁️👁️🥑 It worked as a preventing moisturizer when I didn ' t have wrinkles and it keeps on working wonderfully now as an antiaging cream. Without or with concealer ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ 🧛🏻♀️💜
Former kiehls emoloyee🤣 The creamy eye treatment is amazing! The key is to warm the creme between your pointer fingers and tap it into the skin. You literally need the smallest amount! A lot of people don’t like it- until they realize they were using it wrong and then it becomes a favorite 🤣
Sarah Elizabeth you’re supposed to use your ring fingers to apply eye cream because your pointer finger is used often and will apply more pressure than your ring fingers. They provide the best pressure for your under eye area :)
I'll jump in to defend just the eye cream: it's actually not heavy. You need to pat the tiniest amount under your eyes and it becomes water in about 5 sec. So, it's actually rather lightweight.
i feel like this is a common theme, like he consistently puts down products he uses way too much of during application like... maybe if you used the amount recommended you'd have a better experience??? WHAT A REVELATION
Agreed! Even with normal amount, you need to rub a little bit on fingers before putting under eyes, and the eye cream becomes very watery. Very good product
i feel like the reaction of the skin really depends on each individual. personally kiehls has improved my skin tremendously and significantly in a year and i don't need to see the dermatologist anymore. its toner is soothing, doesn't make my skin break out and helps reduce wrinkles and flaws at the same time. though it's not my fav brand, some of its products is actually suitable for my skin type.
Joyce Nguyen ive been using kiehl’s calendula for the past 3 years and honestly, not to be biased, the toner is really soothing. it’s alcohol-free, reduces imperfections gradually, and adds moisture into my skin before the next step of skincare. i suppose any other toners will do the same but it really depends on the additional ingredients the company adds to that toner. anyways, the purpose of the toner is to re-wash your face and adds moisture into your skin before the next step so that all the other products are easily absorbed
GOP R TROLLS I’m pretty sure Hyram has stated before that he used to wear makeup but he doesn’t anymore. He just has godlike skin now because of his skincare knowledge!
I’ve been using Kiehl‘s for over ten years, it is the only product that keeps me hydrated without making me break out or have oily skin. I’ve tried CerVe, but wasn’t impressed and felt like it actually dried my skin out. Kiehl‘s works for me, and my skin looks great. I’m sticking with Kiehl’s.
Kermit's teatime dude laroche possay,...literally everything from their line is like 5 stars. Fucking God send.NOW THAT, my friend is dermatologist recommended!
Same!! Having sensitive skin but hormonal break outs all the time. Midnight recovery actually has never bothered my skin, even though there is fragrances in it where other serums have wrecked my skin. And honestly I’ve noticed that my acne heals faster and better when I use midnight recovery.
lia Whitney I was using there traditional starter kits, I’m not saying it’s a bad product or anything like I use there foundation on a daily basis and love it, I just felt like clinic was very chemical based and I wanted a fresher face wash if that makes sense
I used to like Kiehls, then i bought one of their sunblock, and it stings my eyes, so i wrote a review about it on their website, then the Admin of the site deleted it saying my comment doesn't follow their community rule blah blah blah, so I rewrote it, and still got deleted. They are trying to hide the truth, that makes me wonder what else they are hiding from me?
Hey there, you’re not the only one. They stole my money and other’s too, we tried to write comments about this on their facebook page and got deleted. Its been months i havent got refund from them and on the phone they said they wont refund. This is a scam company with the fake doctoral cover. This needs to go out to the world!
So, I have a lot of Kiehls, and I love their eye creme and moisturizers without spf. But the moment it has spf, it stings the crap out of my eyes. So , at least for me, I stay away from any of their sunscreen products.
Can you please do a Cera Ve brand review? I've been eyeing a few of their products for some time but I want to wait to see your review to make sure the products will actually be beneficial for me 😀
I know Hyram hasn’t done a review, but check out Dr. Dray on UA-cam. Her channel has tons of CeraVe reviews on it. (It’s not as convenient as one of these videos, but she does have good info)
This is a very subjective review. Kiehl's seems to have worked wonders for A LOT of people. You guys gotta remember he is self-taught and seems to lack thorough research. I say this because some of his comments are conjecture, conveyed as fact.
He literally says in every video that just because something didn't work for him or he didn't like it, it doesn't mean it will not work for someone else... And I think that depends on your definition of "self-taught", because he is considered a specialist for a reason. He works with and learns from dermatologists and estheticians as a career, and he literally will not even talk about something if he hasn't done enough research yet to back it up.... Just saying. No hate.
@@cassthompson3386 Lol only way to be considered an expert or specialist is to have actual knowledge in that field through the title as a dermatologist etc. Anyone can do research. Doesn’t mean it’s “correct”. You basically just copy and paste. A self taught/self proclaimed expert regardless of how much he works with “professionals” won’t change the fact that he isn’t. At least know how to use the product correctly before claiming it’s shit. People take what he says as facts. Scary. The world is going backwards where anyone can claim they are experts only based on opinions. Opinions aren’t facts.
@@kilipaki87oritahiti Actually No, you do not have to have a "title" to have knowledge about something lol As you said yourself, "Anyone can do research doesn't mean Its correct". Therefore, someone with a "title" can also be incorrect. You must not even watch his channel because you dont even know what you're talking about lol he does not just throw out opinions and say they are facts. If you dont like his channel that's fine, but dont spread misinformation.
Yea kiehls actually has some good products....it's just the parabens they have in them are not favorable... but yea I don't consider him a specialist lol
Kiehls has been a huge game changer for my skin! The first product I tried was the midnight recovery & let me telllll youuuuuu! It left my skin glowing! I didn’t even need to use my tinted moisturizer! & got so many compliments! Mind you it was literary after three days of use. This was three years ago & still going strong with their products! I have extremely sensitive skin! & my face looks amazing! Plump, clear & glowing! I have not yet met a person that doesn’t like their products. As I’m typing this I have the Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask! Y’all need to try it! Leaves my skin feeling baby soft & hydrated 🥰
I absolutely LOVE the Midnight Recovery Oil .. I can suffer from dermatitis and eczema of the face but never have I had a reaction to this. Even though it has essential oils in it. I think reviews need to be based on you actually using the products on your face and not just having a wee sniff and deciding you don’t like it due to the fragrance 🙈
I understand what you’re saying but his biggest belief is that the fragrance and essential oil is not good for the skin so when he smelt it and he could smell the fragrance, he decided he doesn’t want to put it on his face
I have to look into this more but have seen a different vid by a dermatologist saying to avoid all fragrances and essential oils in any skincare because it doesn't cause dermatitis now usually it causes it down the line
I do love Kiehl’s Tumeric and Calendula face masques. Every time I rinse them off, my skin is smooth and brighter. Plus, their Dark Spot Corrector Serum helped even my skin tone and texture.
This is a bit late, but Kiehl's employee here, I can confirm the squalane comes from olives or sugarcane in all the products with it. Both are sustainable sources!
Ohh, and one more thing: before applying, recommended to warm up the Creamy Avocado Eye Cream between your fingertips. A beauty assisntant told me in the shop. More comfortable to use! I use it in the same method, and it's perfect, I love it on my dry and sensitive skin. :)
La roche posay is recommended by dermatologists far and wide... safe ingredients, no fragrance, effective, airtight packaging, and lines for various skin conditions and types (acne, dry skin or eczema, etc)...the only shitty part is that it’s not cruelty free
Daoko Piano yeah it sucks :( a lot of the brands recommended most commonly by dermatologists like cerave and la roche posay are unfortunately not cruelty free... pretty sure loreal owns la roche posay and they just bought cerave... there’s a good amount of Korean or Japanese brands with similarly effective ingredients that are... KraveBeauty & Hada Labo are both awesome ones
Elizabeth Williams Contreras gawd damn L’Oréal been pissing me off with their animal cruelty for over a decade now 😡 I’m glad I didn’t buy LRP until now. Thanks for helping a sis out 💕
I’ve been using the midnight recovery oil for six years and love it! I definitely see a difference in the morning- it makes my skin glow, makes my makeup look better and I look awake. I’ve never had an issue with it!
Would love to hear about la pharmacie française like la Roche-Posay, bioderma, clarins... Other brands: Neutrogena!!! Garnier!! Nivea - because they’re so widely available. Also Louis Widmer and lush
I'm such a huge fan of La Roche-Posay, Bioderma and Vichy!! They're amazing for my skin-both when it's full of acne and when it's more under control. And Vichy's 3D Dermablend foundation is the only foundation I can say I truly, truly like to have on my skin. 🙌🏼
I’m 60 years old and haved used several different brands over the decades. I finally tried Kiehl’s products several months ago, and conclude that Kiehl’s products work the best. They are a bit pricey, but the investment on a few key products are worth it. They really do work.
I also used to hate the thickness of the Avocado Eye Cream until a sales rep mentioned that the formula had to be broken down using the ring fingers first, before applying it around the eyes. Never stopped re-purchasing since then🥑
Do you know for what skintype the 'Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash' is? I have combination skin but more oily. I'm searching for a good cleanser but im not sure yet :(
I just repurchased the Midnight Recovery Oil too just this weekend. This is my 1st time to watch this guy’s video and already he’s hating on my favorite skin care product. 😑 Seriously, my skin hates oil but it loves Kiehl’s.
I love the midnight recovery oil... it has really improved my skin texture... I also like the avocado cream as it’s a good consistency... I guess products react different for different skins...
I've used it for years and really noticed a difference in my skin (49yo male). I recently (within the last month) decided to give the Rosehip Oil from the Ordinary a try and I'm really impressed. It's a fraction of the price and sinks in a lot quicker than the MRO and leaves my skin looking and feeling great. It has no scent (which was never an issue for me) so can be used under the eyes etc. I also use it as a cuticle / nail / dry skin treatment which I wouldn't use the MRO for as it's too expensive.
Hyram does throw down the shade with style! If only the big corporate beauty magazines and websites were so honest - that's why more and more people look to UA-cam.
i agree about the eye cream but i was actually at the store and they explained why the cream is so thick. you’re supposed to rub it between your fingers until it turns into somewhat oily texture! but still i don’t really like it because it’s not thick enough after it turns into oil 🤷🏼♀️
Do you know for what skintype the 'Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash' is? I have combination skin but more oily. I'm searching for a good cleanser but im not sure yet :(
The Ultra Facial Cream, Line reducing concentrate and Avocado Eye cream are some of the best skincare products I've ever tried. I'm really curious as to how you managed to review so many skincare products in a single month, did you even try them? How would you see results if you don't try them long term?
I feel like he just reads ingredients lists and decides on that for the most part...If he was an actual scientist he would know that a list means very little, you also need to know the way of production (seriously even temperatures make a difference),the different phases of the materials in the mixture and many more things.I am not a chemist but I am a physicist and it's basic material science (not a material scientist either) that the names of the ingredients in a mixture aren't enough to determine its properties.Plus, some people tend to vilify ingredients often based on single observations or studies which are simply not conclusive enough. That is why I am against people calling themselves skincare experts, because more often than not...they aren't.
I got it since it had popular reviews but it honestly isn't as impressive as people hype it up to be. I'm trying to finish it up though so I don't waste it
As someone with highly sensitive skin, eczema and allergies I love midnight recovery oil. I use it daily and it works miracles on my skin. So it may not work for your skin, but that doesn’t mean you can just tell people not to use it. Every skin type is different ☺️ My opinion: don’t compare this to the plague and use it if it works for you. If it doesn’t, don’t use it!
well, my dumb ass used to apply essential oils all ower my face 😂 i bought a lot of the products that he recommended and i started to exfoliate my face, while using the products that actually are beneficial for my acne
If it doesn't irritate your skin then you're fine! Not everyone is sensitive to the oils in it :-) For me that product does nothing, but the 5 other Keihl's products I use are literally the best for my skin that I've ever tried! Basically, everyone will have different reactions so don't take it to heart unless you are not noticing any benefits.
I love the midnight recovery oil. Using it for years. I have very sensitive skin but no irritations from this product and wake up every morning with relaxed and fresh skin
As a current employee of Kiehl's I can reassure you that their squalane is resourced from olives. Also they are a cruelty free brand except China has their own cosmetic policies.
Sorry, if you sell in China which requires animal testing (I worked at a cosmetic/skincare company in corporate, that decided not to sell into China because of that qualifier)...You are NOT cruelty free. Just because you don’t do it in one market vs another doesn’t mean you can claim cruelty free label. Sorry...but that’s just how it is.
@@kaym7704 Exactly - if, as a company, you choose to sell in a country that insists on animal testing then you can not classify yourself as a cruelty-free company,
Yeah this is just an ignorant comment. If a brand has anything to do with China, it's automatically NOT cruelty free, like the person above me said. Also, he probably meant the ingredient Squalene, not Squalane. Squalene comes from sharks livers, Squalane comes from olives
I used Kiehls during the summer and now I can't find anything that takes away my sensitivity and weird dry/reactive skin patches (I have NEVER had sensitive or dry skin). So much money wasted, I just wish I had discovered your channel earlier!! Currently trying out Youth to the people.
Tip: SqualEne is derived from sharks, SqualAne is when Squalene goes through hydrogenation processing, making it into a 100% saturated oil, aka the good Squalane. If a product is advertised with the Squalene spelling, it’s best to avoid it :)
Tiana plant derived squalene exists. Also, almost all squalane, as you said, is created from hydrogenation of squalene. So you literally can’t get squalane from a more ethical source than squalene, because the source of the squalane /is/ squalene.
my WHOLE skincare is kiehls! i LOVE it. i use the whole ultra facial line- the face wash, toner, and moisturizer, as well as their spf, and a gentle exfoliant. i’ve been using it for 2 years! my skin has never looked better and i love the brand :)
Keihls, Dr. Jart, Fresh, Farmacy, Sunday Riley - All of these “CLEAN’ (yay marketing) brands are filled with fragrance and terrible ingredients at insane prices! STOP the MADNESS!
Madison and White “natural” doesn’t mean “good” or “safe”. There’s natural things that can be irritating (coconut oil for example) or harmful (walnut scrubs). Also, keep in mind that water is a chemical. “Chemical” is not a bad word.
Yogabish there was a 70% off flash sale at style Korean a few days ago. Bought the moisturizer cream, repair cream, and face wash. I read decent reviews online... I’ll have to try it for myself though
I've tried a couple of their products and I think they're really basic and no special hydration/moisture provided, just basics. What I liked are toners - when I was on retin-a and my skin was burning and being ultra sensitive in the initial phase, they were the only toners that didn't itch and burn so I would presume toners are great for ultra sensitive skin. They have very beautiful packaging and branding though
Hi Hyram! I just wanted to let you know that some essential oils -like lavender and tea tree- reduce sebum over time, rosemary is amazing for anti-aging, sun protection, etc. and many are antimicrobial, antibacterial, & antifungal
I don’t understand all that hate toward kiehls and worshipping Korean skincare. I'm Asian myself and I've tried a lot of different brands since I was 15. I have used clinique, loreal, clarins and thousands of Korean brands. But kiehls made such a huge difference. I couldn't even imagine before kiehls creams that the moisturizer can be so lightweight and moisturize so well. This is the only cream that coped with my dry skin and made it glowing and smooth
Hi just on the squalane point I found this on the kiehls website 'At Kiehl’s we use 100% plant-based Squalane. From the initial sourcing through the final formulation, we have developed extensive safeguards to ensure that we are using a quality ingredient derived entirely from plants. '
I worked as a manager for a very large Kiehl’s store for a long time. We’re trained that the Squalane is olive based, not shark derived. I agree with you that the problem is that they are very reluctant to change, and always have been. I also HATED wearing the lab coat, it was majorly hot and everyone came in asking if we were doctors 🙄
do you have any opinions on the hydro plumping serum? I was interested in purchasing it because my skin is soo dry.. now that your not working there anymore do you still use their products ?
Rose Gold I have to say that the hydroplumping serum is one of the products I truly saw results with and loved to sell. I also love their self tanner, butter stick lip balms and a lot of their body stuff.
their ultra facial cream is really good. i had a serious breakout and the cream actually helps me a lot. i think i used like 7 bottles in 2 years. its super hydrating!
I worked for Clinique and had to wear the dumb lab coat 🥼 I don’t miss it, I hated it lol. Only benefit was I could half ass my outfit underneath because who would see it. My coworkers were surprised I had a body under that lab coat I was swimming in
worked at kiehl's. The reason we wear lab coats is to give tribute to the fact we started as a pharmacy/apothecary therapy back in 1851 lol. And there are a lot of things we give tribute to in our stores and products etc... took keep the heritage and know our roots and stuff :) hope that clears it out lol. Also, staff members are required to study and understand the ingredients we use and how they work etc.. they literally provide us books index glossaries and everything. BUT to each their own obviously lol
This video is old but I am a certified esthetician and I’ve tried SO many brands and let me tell you Kiehl’s is honestly amazing….everyone is different but kiehls has truly amazing skincare and it helped my acne so so much before I could even think of affording accutane. Take these videos with a grain of salt.
@@Hyram always love watching your videos!! Totally feel you on their weird lab coat "clinical" approach but formulating with so much fragrance... I feel like Clinique does a better job with that, would love to hear your thoughts on them
Jackson the Meme Warrior kiehls lip balm gave me horrifying burning wounds and blisters on my lip. I might me allergic to one of the ingredients but I have never used such an awful and toxic lip balm before.
Hello Hyram! Thank you for this video ♥️ The Kiehls avocado cream, they indicate to to warm & melt it with your fingers before applying it under your eyes, otherwize I agree that you would have to rub it for ages!
Hyram ohhh I see! But yes eye cream shouldn’t be too much work hehehe! Ahhh i commented before but please review Skinceuticals! Sooo curious to get your opinion on that brand. Love you!
I love your videos and totally respect your points, but I absolutely LOVE Khiel’s products. I had awful skin, and within two weeks my problematic skin which has gone through stress for months, has become bright, smooth and just super hydrated!
Climate is probably a BIG part! I mean, I live in the frozen tundra of North Dakota... Also, gonna try that warming up with my fingers first, I usually just tap and leave it, then it gets sucked in within minutes!
Anne Halm Exactly what I was going to comment. Now in my 30’s it’s the only eye cream that has provided enough moisture. And it doesn’t irritate my eyes.
Puff Ball lol and the comments are like “omg I love that she has REAL skin not like these celebs with perfect skin so we don’t know if the products eben work” uhhh maybe her skin looks that way because of her abrasive stripping routine and celebs with “perfect” skin have either good genetics or they could easily have nice skin because they have a good skincare routine lol
When I was introduced to the eye cream, i was told to use a bit and rub it on the tips of my finger until it gets a watery texture. Then, as you said, tap it into my skin. Yes it is heavier than your average eye cream, but honestly, my skin needs the hydration because of how dry it gets im Southern California.
I've been using this brand for 4 years, and I absolutely love it. If you have uneven skin tone and texture (like me!) the sativa and calendula lines are to DIE for.
I totally love it too...if you warm it between your fingers it sort of breaks into a water like consistency that taps in so so easily and is great under make up even.
Interesting! You may want to do a little more research into eye creams though, they definitely do serve a purpose. The molecular size of the ingredients is smaller so as to penetrate under eye area more effectively, and using heavy occlusives like regular moisturizers under your eyes is one of the leading causes of milia.
*THANK YOU* , Sara!!!!🙌🏻✨ It seems to be a "trend" saying that eye creams are "expensive unnecesary moisturizers" 😕 But ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY agrees with this objective biological reality: _The skin of the eye contour is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of the face. The folicles are and work different and that' s why acne never attacks this area with blackheads os cysts...🤷🏻♀️_ So, a well formulated eye cream makes sense. 👁️👁️ Babes, I am 46 and nobody could tell. Keep on using regular moisturizer on your eyes and let' s meet again in about 20-25 years 🤗😉 👵🏻👵🏽👵🏿🧓🏻🧓🏽🧓🏿.. 🧛🏻♀️💜

I'm kind of embarrassed. I just love Midnight recovery. Despite knowing ingredients, my skin loves it. And it smells like a good sleep and expensive guilt 🙈
Nobody should feel embarrassed to like and use a product that works for them (unless it contains ingredients that are derived from something they are against). Fragrance essential oils are shunned because they CAN cause irritation to some people's skin. Others have no problem with it and find it an important part of the enjoyment of their skincare routine because it gives them a good feeling or relaxes them. If someone has sensitive skin, stay away from fragrance. If you don't have sensitive skin, feel free to try it and see if it works for you. But don't ever feel embarrassed!
my skin initially LOVED the midnight recovery oil, but after the first month my skin really didn't bother if I put it on or not. I don't notice a difference in my skin anymore like i used to :(
You have no idea how much money you have saved me. Here I was thinking 2020 I’m going to buy more expensive products like kheil’s night oil and the avocado eye cream. But then I started researching and found your channel and have been watching it religiously. You are amazing and thank you! This video came out right on time!!! ❤️❤️
I’d like to say that I have used the Midnight Recovery Concentrate for awhile now, and my skin literally feels amazing in the morning. It does have a strong fragrance as he said but for him to say it actually had negative benefits? I am blown away. I have extremely sensitive skin with rosacea and eczema and this stuff is a plumping, hydrating, skin perfecting miracle for me. 🤷🏼♀️I use a few other of their products that I would swear by too, including the avocado eye cream, and Rosa Artica fine line cream. I say just give them a try anyways! If you buy from Ulta you can return the product if you are unhappy with it!
@@emmahinks9638 I have to agree with Sarah, I'm male in late 40's and love this product. It does have a strong scent but it has never been problematic for me. If your close to a store ask for a sample as they have small (2ml) plastic vials that will be enough for you try it and make your own mind up.
i have been using the Avocado eye cream for A WHILE no w and i absolutely loooove it!!! Yes, it is thick in texture but that is if you apply it directly on to your skin. If you rub it between your fingers first, it melts and is creamy and yummy and perfect! I used to have very dry under eyes and this cream totally changed the game for me! And my concealer applies like a dream!
You have to try to know if it works for you or not in my opinion. This is same with any brands and any product. One product doesn’t suit all. U need to experiment and find one that suits you.
@@emmahinks9638 Just as a follow up - I actually bought the Ordinary Cold pressed Rosehip oil and have been using it for a few weeks now. I really like it, sinks in quicker than the MRO, fraction of the price and I've also been using it for my nails, cuticles and any dry patches of skin. There is no fragrance so can be used around the eyes etc. I mix a few drops into my PM moisturiser and my skin feels, looks great.
I actually LOVE my Kiehl's products, but I don't blindly support the whole brand and every product. I specifically use the Avocado Eye Cream, Ultra Facial Cream, Skin Rescuer (this I do wonder if it's negligible. I should stop using for a bit and see.) and the Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm. These products SAVED my dry skin and have kept it clear and soft and moisturized for nearly a year now since I've been using them. They are all silicone free, which was my top priority, and fragrance free. They are certainly expensive, but not anything too crazy like Drunk Elephant and Tacha and Chanel prices. Most importantly, A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. My avocado eye cream has lasted me since August 10th, 2019 and still has about a week or two of product left before I open my new one. Same goes for the Skin Rescuer, and it only takes one pump. The Ultra Facial cream I also bought at the same time and just opened a new jar a couple days ago. Because of this and the fact that they actually deliver results, they actually are not expensive in my opinion. A little really does go a long way. I don't find any of it to be thick. Love love love these products, but I've looked at other Kiehl's products and will admit I am not vaguely interested in trying them. I agree, I can't stand heavy fragrances in skincare. I just started using the Fresh Rose toner (the one with the petals), and the jury is still out. The rose scent is very strong, but goes away almost instantly. I don't mind the scent being that it is the only scented product I use, but I'd prefer it with a lighter scent if any.
Moisturizer!!!!! Chlorine stripped my skin so badly!!! I have super sensitive, oily skin so when I swam my skin dried out so bad. I found I didn't need to actually wash my face everyday with an actual cleanser. I did use Cetaphil gentle cleanser once every other day or so. I used a super mild toner and a super duper hydrating moisturizer!!! I also rinsed my face immediately after swimming.
Old swimmer here! CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion!! Put it allll over. Avoid scents in products. I’d also clean your face with a cleansing wipe/ when you get home use a light cleanser. Chlorine can get deep into your skin, and I think it’s the reason I have such sensitive skin. I love simple’s brand of cleansing wipes & there micellar cleansing water. I’d say try and stay away from harsh acne products also like scrubs. I could go on and on. 😩
Caitlin Callie swimming can wash off a lot essential protective barrier substances from your skin (ceramides and natural moisturizing factors) so adding them back into your skin is crucial.
Their avocado eyecream saved my super dry eye skin (too dry that Ifeel painful). I've loved it even more since I knew that I needed to rub the tiny amount with my fingers then tap on. Very lightweight and moisterizing.
I have insanely dry under eyes and that Avocado eye cream is my favorite. I love how thick and rich it is. It soothes and hydrates the shit out of my under eyes.
As a licensed Aesthetician, I love the keihls avocado eye cream and I recommend it to all clients that ask about good eye creams . I don’t have to rub it in , you should never rub underneath the eye . I take a small amount on my ring finger and lightly dab it underneath the eye area . And I also have to disagree about not needing an eye cream in your skincare routine . It’s very important to have an eye cream as the area under your eyes doesn’t have sebaceous glands (oil producing glands) and the eye creams help keep them hydrated in order to prevent premature against underneath the eyes.
Update: Kiehls sustainably sources their Squalane from olives- yay! :) (www.kiehls.com/ingredients/squalane) Thank you all for the helpful feedback!
Can you look into Klair’s? It’s a korean skin care brand I like :) you might enjoy it as well
Have you heard of "Acure", "Tata Harper", & "Indie Lee" Skincares??

The ceraVe eye cream gave me reaction any other good ones

Dude or dudette he just lied:3:12 that is why the Midnight revovery oil is used at night! not during the day when is sunlight. 😑
same over here
Zarza Mora 3:12 he’s legit talking about how he stands against fragrance and essential oil in this product tho
Zarza Mora which toner ru using ?
Sorry, but I started using kiehls just two weeks ago.. and my skin looks like Hollywood botox .. it feels amazing .. especially during the summertime!
What products are you using??
Sis SAME its amazing how their products improved my skin
I trust kiehls !!! I love it 🥰 oh well it worked wonders for my under eye area especially lines & dark raccoon 🦝eyes
Oh well, I like it!
wathcing this while wearing all skincare products from kiehls :”
SAME he mentioned something about not liking kiehls in a different video and I was worried because literally majority of the skin care I use is from them.
Sameee
Rebecca Bee i never liked them, too expensive i can get La Prerie for the same price almost and i know that they have the best ingredients and i always hated the scent of kiehles product
Something -- most kiehl’s products actually have no scent

i have no idea why i just enjoy you talking and being passionate about skin care and informing people about it.

You are so sweet!! Omg well I hope I can create even more content for you to enjoy ❤

Different products work for different people 🤷🏻♀️
Same. I think he’s behind the new wave of beauty skin gurus who are bashing well know skin brands and endorsing others that are probably paying him.
I love the ultra facial cleanser! On my third tube and it's the best cleanser i've ever used. Little bit goes a long way and it just gets everything off your skin as a second-step cleanser. The Rare Earth mask saves my skin when I break out.
I feel. My skin was a wreck before kiehls. I love their hyaluronic serum, and clearly Corrective moisturizer
Felicia Fuehrer you should watch some of dr dray’s videos then.... she definitely is a skin expert... and she doesn’t recommend fragrance
“Like a plague” like herbs (lavender and hyssop) were literally used to guard people from epidemic

Just thought I'd add that.🤷♀️
Idk about everyone in the comments but Kiehls literally saved my skin
What products are you using?
Yes which one u use
Actually there face mask all of them have been the best for me
I use most of kiehls products
I've used just about everything keihls makes and it is safe. Other than the midnight recover oil, most of their face products have little or no fragrance. The employees are super informed, so you can call or go see them, and trust their opinion for your skin's needs
I haven't even watched this video yet, I know nothing about this brand or it's ingredients but I already know the reason he's gonna say he hates them is because they have added fragrance and essential oils
You're a smart girl 😄 You know I'll always call it out! But I definitely don't hate the brand :)
Ahahah yes
I’d love to see a review on Algenist, Beautypie, Amore Pacific, Herbivore, and Clinique.
I bought a cream at Sephora, BUT, it’s going back. It’s $65. That’s just not sustainable.
His message reaches all
Don’t worry about what this guy saying in this video.

Petra Cunningham That’s exactly how I feel! I absolutely love it and I definitely notice a big difference for my under eye area
Yeah and you are supposed to rub it between your ring fingers before applying it to emulsify it
Oh I love it
I love it, I pat it under my eye and let it melt in my skin

The creamy eye treatment is amazing! The key is to warm the creme between your pointer fingers and tap it into the skin. You literally need the smallest amount! A lot of people don’t like it- until they realize they were using it wrong and then it becomes a favorite 🤣
What an eye cream does??
@@aneesahperween2513 It can help to de-puff and get rid of dark circles or eye bags it also just moisturizes :)
Current Kiehl's employee. I agree :) Thanks for posting!
Current KCR and yeah sounds like MRC and Avocado he's just using way too much of.
I agree
i feel like this is a common theme, like he consistently puts down products he uses way too much of during application like... maybe if you used the amount recommended you'd have a better experience??? WHAT A REVELATION
@N N I've used it every night this week and now covered in milia, gutting
Agreed! Even with normal amount, you need to rub a little bit on fingers before putting under eyes, and the eye cream becomes very watery. Very good product
Julie's Tales yes he needs to actually do more research, the eye cream isn’t heavy,it’s hydrating and amazing

i feel like the reaction of the skin really depends on each individual. personally kiehls has improved my skin tremendously and significantly in a year and i don't need to see the dermatologist anymore. its toner is soothing, doesn't make my skin break out and helps reduce wrinkles and flaws at the same time. though it's not my fav brand, some of its products is actually suitable for my skin type.
Omg sameeeeee
What kind of toner did you use?
Joyce Nguyen ive been using kiehl’s calendula for the past 3 years and honestly, not to be biased, the toner is really soothing. it’s alcohol-free, reduces imperfections gradually, and adds moisture into my skin before the next step of skincare. i suppose any other toners will do the same but it really depends on the additional ingredients the company adds to that toner. anyways, the purpose of the toner is to re-wash your face and adds moisture into your skin before the next step so that all the other products are easily absorbed
I've been picking apart ur face this whole time and I finally realized u have no under eye dark circles its amazing

Kiehls has saved my life after I have dealt with sensitive skin for years
Same!! Having sensitive skin but hormonal break outs all the time. Midnight recovery actually has never bothered my skin, even though there is fragrances in it where other serums have wrecked my skin. And honestly I’ve noticed that my acne heals faster and better when I use midnight recovery.
Which serum use please? I have a very sensitive skin and wanna try Kiehl’s serum but dunno which
I use Kiel’s after switching from Clinique and it’s done wonders to my skin.
me too!
Magnola Chanthala which product do you use?
What were you using with Clinique. I was using 3 step for combination oily.
lia Whitney I was using there traditional starter kits, I’m not saying it’s a bad product or anything like I use there foundation on a daily basis and love it, I just felt like clinic was very chemical based and I wanted a fresher face wash if that makes sense
Ozan Genc I use there midnight recovery and citrus facial foaming cleanser
I used to like Kiehls, then i bought one of their sunblock, and it stings my eyes, so i wrote a review about it on their website, then the Admin of the site deleted it saying my comment doesn't follow their community rule blah blah blah, so I rewrote it, and still got deleted. They are trying to hide the truth, that makes me wonder what else they are hiding from me?
I thought I was the only one who had the burning sensation
I would suggest you try Skiin Aqua sunscreen. Very cheap but works like magic for me!
Hey there, you’re not the only one. They stole my money and other’s too, we tried to write comments about this on their facebook page and got deleted. Its been months i havent got refund from them and on the phone they said they wont refund. This is a scam company with the fake doctoral cover. This needs to go out to the world!
Ly Luu wow. I have done that Too And they did delete it. Their products destroyed my skin. it was so bad

Leaves my skin feeling baby soft & hydrated 🥰
the serum ??
Would you recommend kiehls or Clinique skincare brand for eczema?
I was SO CURIOUS about your opinion regarding kiehls omg 😳

((Also I’m super curious about La Roche-Posay 👀 ☕️))
.... I have their sunscreen, ans it doesn't info my skin. That being said, I cannot tell you my theory upon what the name is actually meant to mean.
La roche posay is recommended by dermatologists far and wide... safe ingredients, no fragrance, effective, airtight packaging, and lines for various skin conditions and types (acne, dry skin or eczema, etc)...the only shitty part is that it’s not cruelty free
Elizabeth Williams Contreras nooooo it’s not cruelty free!??? That’s a big red flag for me!

I’m 60 years old and haved used several different brands over the decades. I finally tried Kiehl’s products several months ago, and conclude that Kiehl’s products work the best. They are a bit pricey, but the investment on a few key products are worth it. They really do work.
At the same time, they are concentrated so they last longer, no? A newbie kiehls user here :)
I also used to hate the thickness of the Avocado Eye Cream until a sales rep mentioned that the formula had to be broken down using the ring fingers first, before applying it around the eyes. Never stopped re-purchasing since then🥑

Brian P Which performance do you prefer regardless of the price?

The Ultra Facial Cream, Line reducing concentrate and Avocado Eye cream are some of the best skincare products I've ever tried. I'm really curious as to how you managed to review so many skincare products in a single month, did you even try them? How would you see results if you don't try them long term?
Bingo

As someone with highly sensitive skin, eczema and allergies I love midnight recovery oil. I use it daily and it works miracles on my skin. So it may not work for your skin, but that doesn’t mean you can just tell people not to use it. Every skin type is different ☺️
My opinion: don’t compare this to the plague and use it if it works for you. If it doesn’t, don’t use it!
the blueish purple serum ?
you've helped my oily skin so much ily 😭❤

well, my dumb ass used to apply essential oils all ower my face 😂
i bought a lot of the products that he recommended and i started to exfoliate my face, while using the products that actually are beneficial for my acne
watching this literally after i applied my midnight recovery concentrate... LOL :(
If it doesn't irritate your skin then you're fine!
I have very sensitive skin but no irritations from this product and wake up every morning with relaxed and fresh skin
im doing the same 😔
not everyone has sensitive skin I don’t which means there’s lots of products that work great for me that irritate other people

@@kaym7704 Exactly - if, as a company, you choose to sell in a country that insists on animal testing then you can not classify yourself as a cruelty-free company,
To right. They are not CRUELTY FREE.
Yeah this is just an ignorant comment. If a brand has anything to do with China, it's automatically NOT cruelty free, like the person above me said. Also, he probably meant the ingredient Squalene, not Squalane. Squalene comes from sharks livers, Squalane comes from olives
Is it weird when hyram was talking mid-sentence and suddenly a Kiehl's ad just popped up? 😂
If I recall they said Squalene was the fruit of olives and that was the source of the ingredient.
@@Madisonandwhite Hi, squalene is derived from shark Squalane is derived from plants sometimes olive oil.
i love how hyram roasts them even more by recommending a better, cheaper option of every product 😂
my WHOLE skincare is kiehls! i LOVE it. i use the whole ultra facial line- the face wash, toner, and moisturizer, as well as their spf, and a gentle exfoliant. i’ve been using it for 2 years! my skin has never looked better and i love the brand :)
Keihls, Dr. Jart, Fresh, Farmacy, Sunday Riley - All of these “CLEAN’ (yay marketing) brands are filled with fragrance and terrible ingredients at insane prices! STOP the MADNESS!
Agreed!!
Amy Dement Nothing natural. All chemicals. Don’t believe the green wash of the brand
Madison and White “natural” doesn’t mean “good” or “safe”. There’s natural things that can be irritating (coconut oil for example) or harmful (walnut scrubs). Also, keep in mind that water is a chemical. “Chemical” is not a bad word.
Amy Dement This is called “ green washing “.

Spoony Dray and Gothamista say good things. Hy, give us your opinion!
Yogabish there was a 70% off flash sale at style Korean a few days ago.
Bought the moisturizer cream, repair cream, and face wash. I read decent reviews online... I’ll have to try it for myself though
None of their products did enough for my dehydrated combo skin. I did like the consistency of the toner though.
I bought their eye cream in 50 1 gram sachets. There was waaay too much product and very heavy cream. Took ages to absorb. Not my cup of tea
Kiehl’s was bought by L’Oréal. That can tell you a lot about where they are now.
isn't the same thing goes with The Body Shop?
Random Fjord body shop was bought by L'Oréal?
Humberto Neto it used to be but around 2017 a Brazilian cruelty free brand bought the Body Shop so it’s no longer under Loreals control! ☺️
They also bought it cosmetics and plenty of others recently, I think they are simply expanding.
Vichy vs Keilh's wich one is better?
their ultra facial cream is really good. i had a serious breakout and the cream actually helps me a lot. i think i used like 7 bottles in 2 years. its super hydrating!
i’ve been here since 20k and i’m so happy with his growth!🥺🥺
The fact that their staff wear lab coats weirds me out enough to not buy the brand altogether. 😂
Yeahhhh I hate that lol, it turned me off too
I worked for Clinique and had to wear the dumb lab coat 🥼 I don’t miss it, I hated it lol. Only benefit was I could half ass my outfit underneath because who would see it. My coworkers were surprised I had a body under that lab coat I was swimming in
I had a friend who worked for them and she said it was horribly awkward when people would ask them what med school/program they went to lol....
Lol, yeah, what are they doing in the backrooms? Human experimentation possibly.....🤔
worked at kiehl's.

I like the avocado eye cream BECAUSE it's thick! Hyram is just a youngin, and probably doesn't have dry, crepey under eyes...😂
Yeah he doesn’t really cater his opinion for other skin types. The cream is perfectly fine for drier eyes
But it literally does nothing for dark circles or crows feet
And I found that of you rub the product between your fingers for a sec it melts and becomes lite
Hey Hyram, can you review Doja Cat’s skincare routine on vogue its actually tragic 😭
Oof, he needs to watch her facescrub... 😔

HOW do so many celebs have such bad skincare routines?
Puff Ball lol and the comments are like “omg I love that she has REAL skin not like these celebs with perfect skin so we don’t know if the products eben work” uhhh maybe her skin looks that way because of her abrasive stripping routine and celebs with “perfect” skin have either good genetics or they could easily have nice skin because they have a good skincare routine lol
its so bad LMAOOO
The way to use the avocado eye cream is with tapping motions
Lucianna Sanchez I tap it in and it takes 2 seconds!
And it’s amazing
When I was introduced to the eye cream, i was told to use a bit and rub it on the tips of my finger until it gets a watery texture. Then, as you said, tap it into my skin. Yes it is heavier than your average eye cream, but honestly, my skin needs the hydration because of how dry it gets im Southern California.
Right, and you don’t need a lot! Amazing cream, love it
@@mindytheturtle6005 finally someone mentions it! Yes, your absolutely right!
I've been using this brand for 4 years, and I absolutely love it. If you have uneven skin tone and texture (like me!) the sativa and calendula lines are to DIE for.
Omg I am gonna try
I love the avocado eye cream! A little goes a very long way and I use tapping motions instead of swiping not sure if that makes a difference
Yeah, you would think a skincare expert would know to not use too much product.
Yeah you’re meant to warm it and tap it on. It works so well!
Do you all like it for fine lines?
Tanasia J. Been using this cream for over a decade and it is still my holly grail one, my skin loves it, never ever had any issues with it 🥑💚
I totally love it too...if you warm it between your fingers it sort of breaks into a water like consistency that taps in so so easily and is great under make up even.

Oh my god. It's what I am looking for
Also sustainable which sucks
I used to work for Kiehls 10 years ago. I really like the company over all. They are really good to their employees.
Interesting! You may want to do a little more research into eye creams though, they definitely do serve a purpose. The molecular size of the ingredients is smaller so as to penetrate under eye area more effectively, and using heavy occlusives like regular moisturizers under your eyes is one of the leading causes of milia.
*THANK YOU* , Sara!!!!🙌🏻✨
It seems to be a "trend" saying that eye creams are "expensive unnecesary moisturizers" 😕
But ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY agrees with this objective biological reality:
_The skin of the eye contour is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of the face. The folicles are and work different and that' s why acne never attacks this area with blackheads os cysts...🤷🏻♀️_
So, a well formulated eye cream makes sense. 👁️👁️

Nikolina Pintarić Same here!! 😩
I love it too never had issue with it
Nobody should feel embarrassed to like and use a product that works for them (unless it contains ingredients that are derived from something they are against).
Works really well for me too!!
my skin initially LOVED the midnight recovery oil, but after the first month my skin really didn't bother if I put it on or not.
YASS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR MY FAVORITE BOY TO GIVE ME ADVICE ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MY SKIN THAT I KNOW I WONT USE 🥺💖
I’d love to see one of these about Fresh

Suggestions for a swimmer and a routine on how to deal with being in chlorine all day for ur skin
Caitlin Callie yes my skin is so dry after swim team
...your comment made me think about the poor dolphin's skin
