Great video man!
I gotta send you a tube amp!
Amp-changes really pull out deep bass in the 560s. They’re one of my favorite headphones on the market 😄
Thanks man! We should chat fr. I grabbed a few tube amps but its foreign territory for me.
@@badseedtech give me a shout any time bro! Always great to hear from ya.
@@badseedtech One question, since you mention that the 560S has lacking bass, can't you just use an EQ to compensate for it? I'm not really sure what you mean by skillful EQ-ing.. you just turn the low frequencies up, right?
@@garfieldblessesyouwithadri3944 the bass seems to be already max out, even with eq it breaks apart too fast. you really need an amp with stronger bass if you choose to do so like a tube amp. this headphone is really easy to be manipulated with by the amp you choose
"Take that Linus Tech Tips"... 🤣🤣🤣
Made me spill my beer!!!
It was a very good joke.
Is the beer ok?
@@bonniereed2158 The beer (or what was left of it) was fine... The mouse pad not so much...

How his channel hasn’t hit 500k subs yet is a travesty. Best gaming tech reviewer on UA-cam.
Boardzy is also amazing.
Honestly thought he had over 800k at least until I saw this comment
100% agreed here. Absolutely, without a doubt some of the cleanest video recordings, setup, editing and b roll on youtube.
I agree
Eh, he was nice at first, but I grew tired of his style after awhile. I’ll watch him here and there.
Man don't ever change! You always fill my needs for those niche products/genres and you mixing up geek stuff like mechanical keyboards or your comparisons of iems for gaming and music are pure gold. Its like you have them specifically tailored for every interest of mine.Much love from Greece!!!
Thank you for helping me make my decision!
Glad to see you back hope the break helped you clear your mind
So happy to see you back at audio again!
Welcome back! So good to see you again making videos!
Seeing a badseed video show up makes my day every time!
Comments like this make MY day - so we're even haha
Just ordered a pair, thanks for the info and the great video.
How have I not found your channel before. Wonderful review thank you.
I love my 560S, thank you for this very informative review!
'Bout time you reviewed the HD 560S! This one is a killer!!
I just got these earlier this week. They are truly a phenomenal set of headphones, easily my favorite for gaming and critical listening at this price point.
I've owned a pair of HD598 (the open back version) for almost 6 years, and I have no complaints. As far as audio quality goes, while the highs are a little veiled (which, at least I'd assume most people into headphones know, is typical for Sennheiser), they are still detailed, while also being very easy to listen to and they hold a good price to performance for me. If the 560S are anything like them, definitely worth the money for anyone who isn't after planars, or into neutral sounding headphones
Exactly the video I needed! Great job ty mate
Dude your videos are awesome.
I'm struggling to decide between the HD560S and DT 1990, mostly for gaming...your videos are helping a lot.
your videos are amazing. never stop.
I love these new uploads
Best overview of the headphone and its comparable alternatives I've seen. Thank you.
Mate your reviews are amazing, if not one of the best reviewers. Keep it up!
You videos are so well made
And that beard is epic !
Thanks so much!
The quality of your videos keep getting better and better. Keep it up!!! :)
@badseedtech that hoodie is dope. Thanks for making this video. I have been comparing these options and this really helped.
Honestly you are a badass. I’ve been in the market for looking at which headphones and amps I would like for gaming and under a budget. This video is literally perfect timing because I’m looking for recent videos to help me get a good idea.
Good to see you on the timeline
Thanks man - feels good to be back
I got my HD 560s 3 days ago and I'm loving it
How large are the cups? I want to buy these but I also want to be sure they'll not press on my ears.
Fantastic comparison man, thanks!
You are the Best Reviewer I have found. Truly appreciative man. -Audiospike
You've quickly become one of my favorite tech youtubers and you deserve all the love. Quality videos every time.
Also, do you plan on reviewing the Pwnage Symm?
Tks for the review
Stepping up the B-Roll game I see!! either way, great stuff Mr. Badseed!!
Been waiting for this review
👌🔥
Dang, I find the 560s slightly lacking in bass but what’s there is so good along with that vocal clarity and resolution. Great review.
For every other reviewer I watch at x1.5speed but here I watch at x1 and have to rewind sometimes because there's SO MUCH info packed throughout these 10 minutes
I own both the HD560s and the HD650 (HD6xx basically), and I vastly prefer the HD560s. I run it through a modi 3 and asgard 3 using Amazon music HD and the clarity of the HD560s is really something else. I also own DT1990s and I actually find myself preferring the HD560s. It's just so neutral but for me, the bass extends low enough to be pleasant. I think the bass actually hits a little harder than it does in the HD650. Just my two cents.
I intend to buy 560S. Do you advise me to buy an amp/dac fiio k7 with it?
I prefer games, movies, and music, respectively.
THANK YOU
Yeah IDK what this guy is smoking. The bass on the 560 is pretty good even if not strong
Ahh... Another BadSeed review. Enjoyed the vid, man. Once I get the money I may try those headphones. Been feeling the itch to get into better audio thanks to you and a few others. Snagged the PC38X and definitely have no regrets there.
That intro music slaps. Keep it up, man.
Damn, your reviews have gotten more detailed and informative as compared to the past, Brian! Love the review, agree with what you have to say coming from an owner of the Sennheiser HD560s, HD660s and the PC38X! 👍
I own the PC 363D now, but now I have a stand alone mic now and was looking for the 599 for gaming and music, do you think the 560S is better for gaming? I also had the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO, but those were too harsh on the treble for gaming.
@@JayNL I too have the PC363D and have experience with both the HD599 & HD560s. In my humble opinion, the HD560s is the better of the two, sounding more detailed, punchy and aggressive compared to the laid back, warm and dark sounding HD599 that sounds a little muddy at times. I too am sensitive to treble and i never dared to try Beyerdynamic headphones but the HD560s is only slightly bright which isn't exhausting or painful for my ears over long gaming or music listening sessions. Furthermore, you could get the Ifi Zen Air Dac which is USD99 and it has a slightly warm sound signature which has helped to smoothen out the treble and thicken the mids so i personally prefer the HD560s
@@OMGitsMarkkus this is great! Exactly what I was spamming the comments for ;) will order the 560S today, but I have to say, for music only I would like the DT 990 PRO back too, it was really nice to listen too, the treble only bothered me with shooting sounds in games. And the earpads are so big and comfy around the ears, maybe only the clamping force of the PRO was a little too much, but there is also the Edition if that bothers you. I would really try the 990, they only cost like 130, amazing.
@@JayNL Thanks sm for recommending the DT990 and i sincerely hope the HD560s serves you as well as it has served me! Clamping force may also be a little tight out of the box which is very common for Sennheiser cans but just stretch it out over a book or the box itself and after some time, they'll loosen up and become some of the most comfortable headphones to wear imo! Just ensure you extend the headband enough so that the bottom of the earcups touch your jawline cos i see a lot of people complaining about the fit and the issue is mostly cos they don't extend the headband enough.
Wow. Your review was excellent. Fast-paced but wasn't to hard to follow once I learned your rythm.
ah, so badseed decides to review these a month after i get them lmao. i like em, thanks for the video
im not sure if many people know this but the 58x sounds slightly "veiled" because there literally IS a piece of foam cover the driver that you can easily remove!! That helped me love the soundstage even more than i already did haha
I'm really digging the high quality of your content. 🤘
Thank you good sir
I love how much context the reviews have! Great channel. Keep the videos coming.
Bought them around christmas paired with a FiiO K3, Absolutely wonderful. Coming from a gaming headset the difference is night and day.
Hi! I just bought them and I have the same FiiO. Do you still have them? still going strong? Have you tried using a Headphone splitter to swap headphones? I don't wan't to diminish the quality with a splitter because I don't know how would it affect them (they are passive ones)
Amazing content
He's back!
Great review! The 560S sounds great together with IFI Zen DAC.
I want to buy 560s
What do you think of Fiio K7 with it?
great review as usual.
so do think that it would be perfect combination with the schiit loki mini+ that u reviewed this week because it's a flat headphone
Glad to see you back in my feed. Hope all is well. I have used the pc37x for the past year and absolutely love it. I would upgrade to the 38x but man that yellow is ugly.
great content man
Hahahaha love the sponsor transition and shade to LLT lol
Watching this with my 58x's sure made me feel good lol
Nice video, man! I can see where your thoughts are coming from, considering your reference is a Beyer lol. Glad to see you like them!
Glad to see you back at it, stay up man. Now let's pump my boy to 1 mil subs. To the moon.
TO THE MOOOOON! 🚀🚀🚀
It would be interesting to see if a pad swap could bring in some more low end without sacrificing sound stage
Love your content! Keep it up
Holy shit, this is exactly the video I needed. Literally godsent.
My go to for anything tech related man I put a lot of stock in your analysis. Love the channel 👌🏼
Thanks, I appreciate that!
Ive got the 560s plugged into my Fiio K5 Pro and they sound great. Really gives me the soundstage I wish the 58x had, but those are still hanging around my desk too.
do the bass become tighter?
i have the k5 pro and they do wonders for many headphone
@@loucipher7782 I want to buy 560s

welcome back brother - hope the family is well
Thanks brother! We're getting there but its good to be back making videos.
Could be that the promo code is for 2wk not for 2 months? Hope everything is going good, glad to see you back
I have been leaning towards the 58x and you might have solidified my decision! This was the comparison I have been waiting for. One question I have, do you think the Schiit Fulla 3 could drive all of these?
This review has been worth the wait, really glad to hear your perspective before pulling the trigger, thanks!
I bought them for a 100 on Black Friday I love them
Thats a crazy deal!
What!!!!? Wished I found that deal myself, I got the PC37X for 95 (solid) but would’ve gone for those instead if I knew they were running for 100.
you probably bought 599. this is not the same headphone.
@@miladesn he should know since it was him that bought them
@@badseedtech they were on Amazon cyber Monday at 8:00 through 9:00
i've been using the 560s with the ifi zendac for almost a year now, the truebass button on the zendac fixes the bass lite issue for me perfectly. On certain genres this turns the 560s into a bass can without sacrificing any clarity on the mids and highs.
Just bought this combo I’m hyped!
Would you say that the sennheiser 560S is suitable for metal (deathcore, metalcore etc) as well if you are playing a bit with an equalizer or is it more for music like classic music, jazz, pop?
I intend to buy HD 560S . Do you advise me to buy an amp/dac fiio k7 with it?
I prefer games, movies, and music, respectively
THANK YOU
I also have both the Sundara and the HD560S. While I haven't really spent a lot of time on the HD560S, I do feel they sound quite similar, with the Sundara providing a more tasteful bass, I think. I'm using the iFi Audio ZEN stack, and I find myself activating the XBass feature on the HD560S, otherwise the HD560S sounds a little "boring" to me at times. But the HD560S wins hands down on comfort. I used the HD559 for a couple of years and I absolutely love the comfort provided by this build. Worst case scenario, I may sell my Sundara and just XBass my HD560S. The Sundaras are that bad on big ears. I can wear it for an hour or so, but then I have to take it off and that's when I feel like my ears have been pinched by someone for the better part of an hour. The HD560S build? I could wear it for multiple hours and forget that I'm wearing it when I need to leave the desk.
From my short sessions on the HD560S, the sound quality improvement of the Sundaras over the HD560S doesn't seem enough to justify the drastic degradation of comfort (and the extra cost, if budget is a concern). For people who find $350 to be not that different to $200, the Sundara should probably be considered as an alternative to the HD560S. It's just that I need maybe another 10mm to 15mm more inner vertical clearance on the Sundara earpads. It would then definitely become my go-to. Unfortunately people say there are no 3rd party pads worth using for the Sundara, so I didn't bother try changing pads. :(
the Sundara pads disintegrated into a billion pieces after nearly 2 years, eventually the pads had to be changed
and i can only wear the Sundara for 2 hours mostly for movies because its heavy and uncomfortable to wear, circle pads sucks
most of the days i am either on shp9500 or HyperX Cloud II
the Cloud II sound really good when plug into a Fiio K5 Pro, tighter bass, warmer sound, better soundstage and imaging just damn
have to make another video on the 6xx now then xD
Great Video as usual
I know this is an old video but it would be nice to have text showing which headphone is currently on-screen. There are a lot of numbers being thrown around and it would be a good visual aid so I know what you're talking about and don't have to rewind and make sure I can keep up with the names of the headphones. Thank you for the video!
The 560S actually extends to lower frequencies than any of the other cans you're comparing it to. I think you've mistakenly referred to the increased mid range on the HD6XX and HD58X as extra "bass".
Both are true. The HD650 and HD58x both have a far more defined bass than the HD560 with more impact. However, the 650 has a smoother bass presentation and the 58x has a nice mid range bump. The bass is there on the 560, but there's no impact in comparison to the other two cans. The frequencies the 560 extend to aren't audible by the human ear so frequency range isn't a great metric to go by when comparing headphones. The 560 can go lower, but the others have far more definition.
thank you for including talking about QC between Hifiman and Sennheiser.... such a hugely overlooked difference between brands and models. Who cares if something has amazing bang for buck if it dies in 1-2 years. Longevity is never talked about, but Hifiman is generally terrible, whereas Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic are great.
That segway tho haha Great content as always!
First off, my deepest condolences my brother, nothing but love to you and your family. Second, if you can check out the TA-10 or TA-10R tube amp, I’d appreciate it. I have one and love it, but I feel like people need to know about it lol
U earned my like on the Linus line
Great video and while I like your energy man (newer sub here) please slow down just a tad lol you were throwing product numbers and descriptions at me so fast it was just a little hard to keep up being someone who was interested in the information being presented but as someone unfamiliar with the product stack. Thanks and great vid overall! 👍
So glad i saved up a little more & got the 660s, a true do "do it all" headphone but truly excels in the gaming department (no mic though)
I've been looking at the 660s as well as the Tygr 300r, and of course pc38x. Do you have anything to say between any of those, and if not what mic do you use with the 660s?
@@goldlamp574 oh i can't comment on the other headphones as i have not tried, before my 660s i was using ATH-M50X, also i use a Shure SM7B for my Microphone
So my Sennheiser Momentum 2 wireless over ears are starting to go I think, the ANC has static creeping in and they don’t feel like they hit like they used to.
So I am looking for a replacement, I’ve gone full minimalistic and these are my only set. I use them mostly for my phone when I’m cleaning around the house and I also use them at the PC for late night gaming (wired) when the kids are sleeping.
What I loved about the momentum’s was how the handled heavy metal like Trivium, they were on point with everything really made it feel alive. I can’t lose that.
So on my list so far are the XM4s, Aonic 50, PX7s, and the Momentum 3s.
Any additional recommendations would be appreciated or ideas.
The 58x is an amazing headphone I love it more than my 6xx and I feel that it’s an unpopular opinion so it’s nice to see that I am not alone.
Completely agree!
THE RETURN OF THE KING
@BadSeed I recently bought the pc38x a schitt stack (heresy/modi) and a GOXLR with a shure SM7B mic. Currently I plug my Headset to the back of my mixer and get audio just fine but I want to use my stack how can I go about that any recommendations? They gave me a TSSR splitter and a 1/4 adapter that does not fit makes no sense or am I missing something?
Can you tell me if the HD560s can be considered as an extension to the Airpods Pro, i.e. giving more better soundstage, better resolution, better imaging and similar sound signature? Please. I also intend to pair the HD560s with the FiiO BTR5. Please help.
Can you please advise if these or any headphone would be better against a dedicated gaming headset?? I have the SteeSeries Arctis Pro Wireless and I love them for footsteps and detail. I've been wanting to try a real headphone for gaming for a while now. As usual you're the best, keep up the great work 💪🏻
Just a question i was looking at the beyerdynamic dt 770 pros with a razer siren mini for a mic, or these with a plugging mic, which do you think would be better
Hey im looking to buy an open back headset but im having troubles finding what will be good for me, Im going with a blue yeti pro for the mic so i wont need on integrated with the head set. ive been looking at the dt 990 pros and these, any suggestions?
I subscribed for the audio stuff. Oh, and the epic beard.
Brian I'd highly recommend checking out the ifi Zen stack (Zen Dac and Zen Can). Not the drop versions the cheaper retail versions. The Zen Cans Xbass and 3D filters completely transform the HD650, you still get those amazing mids but now with sub-bass and soundstage!
I've been looking at those for awhile actually. Probably gonna pull the trigger. I like that they accommodate the weird balanced cable sizes without an xlr adapter.
@@badseedtech If you do cover them you should know that ifi's 3D filter is based on East German tech that was never completed (because the wall came down). I think that's just cool!
I intend to buy HD 560S . Do you advise me to buy an amp/dac fiio k7 with it?
I prefer games, movies, and music, respectively
THANK YOU.
How would you compare the 560s with the dt1990 or tygr 300r? I put the dt1990 in there since some reviewers say the tygr is like 80% of the 1990s. Use case is for music and fps gaming.
i know this is an old video but i really need your help
which are easier to drive? i've heard that 58x easier to drive but i saw 560s has low impedance
i only have scarlett 2i2, and the syba sonic dac amp for my ps4 based on your recommedation. so which one should i go for?
last question: does the 6xx can be drive by either of those?
Have you tried modding them 58x slightly and taking the foam out of the earcups? Apparently it can open the soundstage up slightly and boost the treble slightly? Especially for gaming.
Liked for the segue.
EXACT video that I needed! Trying to decide if I want to wait for 58x or get these!
Looks like I'm waiting a couple months for the 58x!
How do you see the difference between the 560s vs the 58x?
Could you recommend some replacement cables for the 58x? The stock one connects just a little bit close to my beard for my comfort and I can imagine you felt the same way
with some EQ the bass is 👌🏼
I currently have the hyperx cloud IIs with the 3.5 to USB dac that comes with it. Ive been considering trying an open-back headset for Hunt Showdown; its a cytek game that uses stereo sound. I think I hear well with the current closed back set. However Ive got 125$ gift card and thought maybe ill put it towards a second option for when the wife isn't in the same room ( So I don't drive her Crazy) and try open-back out. Ive got a blue mic so the PC gaming version isn't ness. But this version is on sale at my local Guitar center. Would the 560s be an upgrade just plugged into my cloud II dac? or should I not waste the money?
YO nice hoodie! didn't know you were into bikes
Where would you throw the EPOS h6pro into the mix? Awesome video!
Unrelated to the Sennheiser. I picked up the Philips Fidelio X2HR in large part of your review and I love them. Using them for everything from gaming to shows , movies and music. I threw some eq on them, but I am really enjoying them so far.
Good! Glad they hit the mark for you!
@@badseedtech Thank ya, only minor issue I've had with them is my dogs hair sticks to the earpads like a magnet. She is a solid white lab/pyrenees mix and a bit over 110lbs, so that's a lot of hair.
Do they have that little bump on the inside of the earcup like the hd598? I find my ear is always touching it and it gets uncomfortable for me. Probably the only gripe I have for the 598s
I have these AKG K240 Studio which are really neutral and really good and accurate Headphones and I really love them but I'm on the line about whether I should buy these. Everyone says wonders about them, and they are cheap now, but I'm wondering what kind of difference I am going to get from my AKGs which I really already love. I mean these cans, often times, you don't know whether the sound is coming from them or outside. This is how real they are. Is it worth it to spend money on the 560s in your view?
