Lord, bless her heart. In the foster care system, aged out no doubt, failed by the adults in her life, the system, and by untold traumas, I'm sure. So sad. Poor girl.
Noting her age and foster care, I wondered if she was being abused, unbelieved and she found a way out. Im with you!
My thoughts exactly. She was 17 and about to age out, into a very unforgiving world, from a very broken foster "care" system. As an adoptee this rips my heart apart. Heavy feeling she was abused. :-(
Foster care / social services claims they are better at parenting but so many kids are failed and estranged from their families after aging out they have no one and no where to go.
So who is suing Biological parents or Foster
I saw the video, as the deputy opens the door she grabs the gun from his pants and shots herself in less than 3 seconds.
Do police guns have safeties? I was surprised at how fast she was able to grab the gun and shoot.
@@Casey-qm1ndsome do some don't. Depends on the department and gun. Like NYPD Glock 17s don't have safeties but have a heavy trigger pull to prevent accidents
What in the crying out loud is going on in the world? The attorney is blaming the cop?
Yes absolutely. He did not have his weapon in a holster with a proper level of retention. A level 3 retention holster is a requirement in most police departments and it should be in every single law enforcement holster in the country. A girl like her with no training would never ever have been able to get a pistol out of a level 3 retention holster, let alone just snatch it and shoot herself in 3 seconds. She's responsible for her actions, but he is responsible for the retention of his weapon. He had his weapon in a leather holster with a simple snap to hold it in place. Absolutely irresponsible. So yes he is also responsible
tragic poor kid i feel for the officer to it happened so fast
I'm not too sure what happened here but mental health is a serious issue nowadays. Be kind, y'all. Don't let the devil succeed!!!
The world promotes sin and is against God esp in USA..
"Prior to entering the lobby, deputies responded to a family disturbance at Gonzalez’s foster family home in La Puente about one mile away. The 17-year-old, who left before deputies arrived, was said to be experiencing a mental-health crisis, according to officials".
She died
That's Krazy
maybe trolls targeted her
Why was she in the sheriffs dept? Was she brought there? And why? Or walked in? question is what happened prior inside the department? We know the aftermath.
@user-rm1pj6el7s
There was an altercation or argument at her home, they called the police but the teenager left before police got to the house. She walked to the station, around a mile away from her home, and when the deputy opened the door to let her in, she grabbed it from his belt and immediately put it to the side of her head. He tried to pull her arm away but she was just too fast. Nothing suspicious about it.
I feel for her as she was aging out of foster care as she was 17 and dealing with mental illnesses. I feel bad for the deputy too as it happened and was done in literal seconds and he just didn’t have the time to stop her.
You see a seemingly sweet young lady standing at the door to be let in, you don’t expect her to just grab your gun and pull it on herself right in the doorway. Just awful.
Rest In Peace young lady.
@@dalerimoller272no he punched her lol didn’t pull her arm away
Wait that sounds suspect we need to see police cam footage to determine if that's what really happened?
she took it fast and he not see it coming trying hit her head before she shot herself. he seem shocked what going on with her mindset like that..
It's quite astonishing considering the fact that police are required to have retention holders which I've watched grown men not able to draw a cop's weapon from their holster so how exactly did she get his gun away so easily
I was thinking the same thing. It shouldn't have been that easy for her to take his weapon. You can see it happen in an instant in the footage. Someone is negligent, whether intentional or not. Horrific for her and the cop.
Literally that one scene from Manchester by the Sea
If you are going to make a movie reference be sure it's an iconic movie and not some silly Indi shit no one has seen
deputy should had never open the door....
This is crazy. How can a 17-year-old girl wrestle away a firearm from a deputy?. I’m thinking that Deputy is in big trouble just saying.
Where did they say she wrested it away from him? She took it from behind him as he was opening a door. Then used it on herself in after a "short" struggle. Listen to the video again and think before you comment.
You’re showing off your 3 brain cells
You obviously haven't watched the video. It happens so fast.
If you watch the video of the action (another video). He was opening the door to let her in, he pushed the latch bar with his left hand, had used his right high up on the door frame to push the door open for her. She reached thru what looked to be about 10" width as the door was opening, grabbed the gun while his hands were STILL on the door. - 3 - seconds, she had she gun and put it to her head, flicked the safety off and pulled the trigger. 5 or 6 seconds < TOTAL > and it was OVER!! About the 3rd second he grabbed at her as he realized what had happened, but she had simultaneously turned away as he was trying to pin her arm but it was too late. I slowed it down and watched the deputy didnt really have an chance!!
just wanted t come back and remind you how wrong you were :-)
She took a police gun.. if she did he don't need to be a cop period
Lies 😮
A sheriff’s deputy lost control of his sidearm? Dude should be in prison for gross negligence.
Maybe u should apply
or you could wait until the facts are out before giving your uneducated opinion
@@JL-rd5gn cop hating assholes gonna cop hate
Okay, Karen.
Nope. Keep showing off your two brain cells though.
That dude shouldn't be a cop anywhere
he don't expect her took gun but surprise she did disarm deputy's holster and went for head to shot herself. i saw security camera inside sheriff station.
@@AhusluhXXXratedEmpireTVof course he didn't expect it, that's why it should have been in a proper holster. One that's made so you can't take it away. Those are requirement most places. He fucking failed. He's as responsible as her
