- One day after a 17-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot in the lobby of the Industry Sheriff Station during an alleged altercation with a deputy, questions still remain as her heartbroken family comes to grips with the sudden loss of their loved one.
The incident happened around 7:40 p.m. Sunday at the station on Hudson Avenue.

LASD doesn't use secure duty holsters!? thought all US law enforcement uses them, because they protect officers, pretty sure LASD has enough funding for every deputy to have one

I saw the footage, as soon as the Deputy opened the door she grabbed his gun as she walked in. He tried hitting her 2 times on the head but she aimed at her temple and shot herself in the head.
My biggest question is what happened to the holsters retention. LE holsters are suppose to have retention to prevent suspects from just grabbing their firearm.

She is/was a minor...that means that the parents are responsible for her actions. The Parents need to be held responsible, clear case of bad parenting. If they have anymore children then they need to be put into foster care for their safety, since the parents clearly cannot be trusted with children.
