Really? How much has it changed? Is it recognizable as where EL☆IS grew up? Does he have a good reputation there? I don't know how mean people have become at this point.
@@anastasiabeaverhausen2647 , the area is still a little rough, but Mississippi is an impoverished state. I’ve done critical care nursing for 25 years and have seen it all. His birth home is now part of a small beautiful museum. The birthplace and where he and his mom moved when his dad went to prison are in different areas. Where he grew up is still a dangerous area. The highest crime area of the city. Tupelo really isn’t that far from Memphis. If you ever take a trip to Graceland, plan a day to also visit the museum there. We love him and it shows. You can see the bed where he was born.

My mom was arrested at 9 mths pregnant (with me😊) while marching with MLK in front of a restaurant in TN that didn’t allow Blacks to dine inside. This was her 3rd favorite Elvis song- her 1st being If I Can Dream, a tribute song to MLK (look for the the 68 Special white suit version) and 2nd- In The Ghetto (look for live in Vegas). All 3 songs were played often and early in our home lol Not merely songs, but rather mantras… Models by which my parents raised me and my siblings in a too-slowly evolving South. How incredibly blessed we were!!!!!!❤️
I honestly don’t believe he had an easy day in his life- young or old, unknown or famous, filthy rich or dirt poor. The man & his voice were painfully beautiful… and silenced far too soon😔

You should watch it with your Uncle even if he's seen it already. But just so you know they call Elvis the N word. Elvis grew up with black people. They were his closest friends. He went to their homes, said yes ma'am and yes sir, during secretion and went to their church. He learn to play piano and the guitar from them.

It's really not about judging people. It's about feeling what they feel to understand them. Using your judgment is a standard human self-defense mechanism. Don't prejudge people. If you get to know someone and you don't like their lifestyle, you should make a judgment call as to whether you want them in your life or not. The part we miss in modern times is the "until" part. Don't judge until you know what they've been through.
Even then... judgment needs to left for our creator to handle..its not right regardless..I just feel... if you can't be nice..don the nothing...literally just keep it pushing.... people today can't seem to my they own enough lol...

@Jynx "BK' Freeman Judgment is for your own protection. Like I taught my kids, trust your gut, weigh out the cost, benefit of interacting with someone. I agree that judging to chastise someone is really just bullying. When you read the sermon on the mount, where Jesus talked about judging others. He was pointing out that we should not judge others until we are clear of the same sins. He didn't say to never judge. He's saying make sure your life is clean before judging anyone else. Otherwise, you are just a hypocrite. Be sure you have all the evidence before you judge. How can you point out the flaws of others knowing you have the same flaws. Good luck, and keep up the good work. I enjoy watching young people get something from the same music that moved me during my youth.
