“Crying In The Chapel” is the Elvis song that has been in my head since I was about six years old. It’s always been one of my favorites from the king 👵🏼☮️💜
Ray, you really gotta watch this movie, Jailhouse Rock. Really really. It has one of his best movie scenes/lines ever, "That ain't tactics honey, thats just the beast in me". 😊
Im old i was one year old .My mother listened to elvis everyday .I gew up loving elvis.I have every 45 record and album was able to see him in concert in early 70s my high school graduation present. My mother made one condition she got to go too lol Come on Mom lets hit the rd
Two weeks after Jailhouse Rock was done filming. The actress, Judy Tyler and her husband passed away in a car accident. When Elvis heard that she passed away, he never went to the premiere and he didn't watch the movie.
I was born in 65 but wish I could been in the Woodstock era to,I think with my mind set I could have fit in,I still listen to that music Janis Joplin OMG the best female singer of all times that inspired so many of the artist today to carry on that kind of music,it was just wanting peace and being free and being their selves in the open world, which we should all still be
Hi Ray, Maggie P. From Australia here, I’m watching Treat me Nice from Jailhouse Rock, I don’t know if you know this, but he never ever watched this movie when it was done. The woman he has next to him in this clip was killed in a car accident with her husband & Elvis was so upset he couldn’t watch this movie ever, beautiful man. Love ya.
I love your reaction of Elvis. I love Elvis, too whenever I hear it makes me feel special and content and happy. He wasn’t amazing man a beautiful person, and I will always love him.
It is so great to see someone who loves Elvis like me. and from a different era. I fell in love with Elvis in my pre-teens and never waivered, and I am 73
You're coming to Graceland in January? Oh you are going to love it!! Take it all in. Living in Memphis, I've been there many times but still have to read and watch it all again. Have fun, I know you will!!
Yes, Ray I am a child of the 70's Born In 1967 - Teen Of The 80's --- I Love ALL Genre's Of Music --- You Name it... Country Rock - Classic Rock - Hard Rock - Metal - Big Hair Bands - R&B - Hip Hop - Some Rap MOSTLY EMINEM!!! Blues - JOURNEY Will forever be My Favorite Classic Rock Band --- I stopped listening to Country New Country by the mid 90's -- early 2000's UGH - I LOVEE D'Angelo!!!!!! BUT ELVIS HAS MY HEART AND SOUL FOREVER!!!! THANKS RAY ---- WATERMELON THROUGH A STRAW LMAOOOOOOO
I was two years old when this song was popular..Mom said I started dancing in my crib, playpen, or started kicking my feet if I was sitting on the floor. I have loved this man since I was a baby and grew up with him. I was devastated when he passed Never stopped following him. You do such a beautiful honor to his memory
Great reaction Ray 👍 my daddy wanted outside school to surprise me and brought me to the cinema to watch jailhouse rock 😊 I was 14yrs old ❤ love watching your reactions and listening to your story time 😂😂 you're GREAT 👍 keep well 🙏🙏
Beautiful Ray, he was so young here I went to this movie in real time and as I've said before the girls screamed when he came on screen. We were so thrilled to see him on a huge screen even in black and white. Thanks for always coming through for the king. Hope that old stone finally goes away.😍
And another comment by me to say I agree with what you said about Elvis I can’t watch him enough and without a smile. it’s the same with me when I listen to him he just brings me back to a simpler time and it makes me feel good and my heart feel light and happy. It is so beautiful listening to him because for a little while you’re totally focused on him and everything else stops for the moment
Yes Ray, i also wish i was in this era! I loooooove ELVIS and his phenomenal music! I'm born in 1964 but still to young to meet him! Thank you for keep ELVIS legacy alive!
Thanks again Ray. Love Elvis in Jailhouse Rock. The lady clapping, his co-star Judy Tyler was killed in a car crash, just 3 days after filming. Elvis was to be devastated. He missed the premiere and refused to watch the film after that 😢
Great movie, jailhouse rock, great songs great acting by elvis, the actress Judy tyler died in a car accident at the end of the movie and elvis could never watch the movie he was devastated. 😢
I love him too Relvis love u too thanks for another great video. I wish I could get my name back as Elvisfan4ever again, but maybe I’ll figure out how too.
Another amazing reaction, and another song I'd forgotten, peace and love and gods smile will wash over you like a waterfall of crystal clear water, you truly speak the way that others would not dare coz there scared of comments, you are the goat reacting to the goat, u fire ❤
This is a scene from the great Jailhouse Rock. Judy Tyler his co-star died in a car accident 2 weeks after filming with her husband on their Honeymoon. Elvis was so distraught that he didn't attend the opening of the movie. The movie is excellent. Only Elvis ❤ Be well and thanks for your reaction.
2 things: Elvis' original band mates Scotty Moore and Bill Black (on bass) are here. Elvis took care of his friends. Notice the photo of Harry Belafonte on the wall on the rt Great review. Glad you are doing better.
Thanks for the health explanation~ it's like having a watermelon pass through a straw, or kind of like a baby passing through the birth canal 😮Yikes! You are a trooper❤What can we do but go through it to get to the other side😊👍
Elvis had some Native American ancestry on his mother, Gladys', side of the family as there is said to be some Cherokee ancestry in her family. Recent research has also shown that his father, Vernon Presley's, ancestry has a link to Scotland. On the subject of 'putting a watermelon through a straw', this will give you a some (although only a small) appreciation of how it feels for us women when we give birth 😄
Man I know what you're going through I went through it six times and I have to see the kidney doctor every 6 months because my one kidney will not stop producing stones exactly what you're going through
I feel for you. I have had kidney stones six times. The good news. The minute the stone passes the pain stops instantly. With a 10 mm stone, I am surprised they didn’t go in surgical to take it out.
Thank you Miss Helene for this great song choice...absolutely loved it.Thank you for all the support and love you give to Ray and his family. You are a very special lady with a loving ...kind heart.❤
Once again a great reaction sorry to hear about your stone and I know feels like a Boulder I've been waiting on that Courtney hadwin reaction again love to see you do her new song and video that girl don't live here if her voise don't crack that stone maybe the song get your dancing to shake it loose love your reactions man take care
Ray, you are not the only one. I was born in the 1980's too. But my parents were both born in the 1950's and so I ended up growing up with that era of music. My Dad was a HUGE fan of Doo- Wop and The Blues and Motown. And also some hard rock bands of the 1960's and 1970's. That doesn't mean my Dad didn't like modern day artists, he did. He was pretty open minded when it same to music and I got my love of music from him and his side of the family (they were all musically- inclined/ talented but because my paternal grandfather was an immigrant he severely discouraged any ambitions in being singers or musicians, he thought it a pointless and frivolous endeavor, so my aunt never pursued her true passion, which was singing, and she had a beautiful voice, she could sing to Patsy Cline and nail it and right along with Whitney Houston and nail it, I'm not exaggerating here. She really could sing, like really sing. Imagine if Elvis never pursued his passion for music, considering his absolute love for it, I don't think he would have been very happy otherwise. Music was his happy place, and most especially Gospel music, we Elvis fans know this. I think Elvis did what he was born to do, quite honestly, he was born to perform and he had music in not just his blood, but his soul. In my personal experience, it's rare when people are actually born for a particular trade or profession. Most adapt to tasks that are expected of them or to jobs that are required of them. And being adaptable isn't a bad thing either, it's a good thing I think to be.) Anyway! The studio in this scene actually did (or does) resemble Sun Studios as Elvis once knew it and saw it way back in 1953- 1955, respectively. Also, Lieber and Stoller was in this scene as well as Scotty Moore (I think Floyd Cramer was too but don't quote me on that; Floyd Cramer and Dudley Brooks were the two main piano players for Elvis's movie tracks. And Dudley Brooks actually co- wrote a couple of songs that Elvis recorded in the 1960's, one of which was "Something Blue". Not a movie track, that one, it was on Elvis's Pot Luck album. Which was also the album that the song "Suspicion" was first released on in 1962. Just FYI for anyone interested.) If I remember correctly, it was actually Leiber & Stoller who wrote this one. However, they did not write every song for the movie "Jailhouse Rock". Fred Wise & Ben Weisman also wrote a few numbers for that movie. They wrote a lot of really good Elvis movie songs actually. They wrote a few songs for the movie "King Creole" for instance. I forget how many exactly though. And you know hearing you say that you are most at peace when reacting to Elvis because of all the love in the comments section makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 😊💖 Aww, thanks Relvis 💗🙏💕 And THANK YOU FOR A REALLY FUN REACTION WOW THIS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD 😂😂😂 AND A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MISS HELENE FOR THIS ONE 🌺💜🌺💜🌺💜🌺💜 THIS WAS ONE OF MY GRANDMA'S FAVORITES! I feel you brother. I had kidney stones and thought I was gonna die, literally. They exploded them with ultasound. A very small experience what a woman goes thru at birth.
There is a colourized version of this too. So people have choices if they don't like that, then they can watch the black and white one. Me I'd go for color.
From Jailhouse Rock. I emailed you a request from this same movie. The last song of the movie is Young and Beautiful. His voice is so new and raw and pure. The guys behind him are his original band. Bill Black on bass, Scotty Moore on guitar, DJ Fontana on drums. This is the year I was born. Now about your kidney stones. Has your doctor talked to you about dissolving or using a laser to break it up into smaller stones? I think it would bring some relief making it easier to pass. Continued prayers for you, Relvis. Another great reaction.❤🙏😊
Love this movie. His acting was so on point; I dont know how they couldnt see it... or could they?? I think they just wanted him under their thumbs 😠. "...pushing a watermelon through a straw..."
