WOW. If only every video on youtube would be this short and this informative. THANK YOU MISTER THREE MINUTE PRO
Cheers buddy 😄
Love this basics rundown! Short, clear and straight to the point.
Thanks you :-)
This is the best video I could've asked for! Thank you! Subscribed 😊
Thank you! You’re welcome 😀
I have one. One of my favorites to shoot with.
Gorgeous, isn’t it? The Minolta lenses are superb
Fast and informative I should follow your example instead of the waffle I create. Loooooove these old cameras liked and subbed. Regards Paul
Thank you 😄
Hi, thank you. Exposure compensation can be accomplished by changing the ISO setting. Best wishes, Ralf
Fair enough. But make sure you remember to set it back to the correct ISO afterward
@@threeminutepro Yes, it’s only a workaround because of the missing feature.
Aperture compensation is a little button on the front of the camera to the rightof the lens of viewed from the front, no?
@@threeminutepro They do tell that in the manual but same applies to any exposure compensation.
@@joelonsdale That is for shooting against the light. It increases the exposure by 1.5 stops.
Use the iso settings to compensate your exposures. You don't need a separate exposure compensation dial. Just remember to return the iso setting when you're finished. You can shoot all the slide film your heart desires.
Fair enough, that’s a great idea 😀
Would you use a seperate meter for that and then match the settings on the AV1?
@@flowermaze___ if you have a separate meter, you can use it to help get yourself in tune with the internal camera meter. Otherwise, just remember the internal camera meter is center-weighted, but the background in the frame can still throw your exposure way off. For example, in snow I have been increasing exposure up to 1 2/3 stops.
Hello :)
If i chose the green A in the Lens, does ir work? Its possible to make the speed and apture automatic?
Thank you
No, you shouldn’t set the lens to A on this camera, as it cannot set the aperture automatically
My favourite shutter release noise of all my cameras
Film camera sounds are great 😀
Thanks! I just found one of these, fully working for $10 Australian dollars. Amazing!
What sort of eye cup is that? Thanks!
I think it’s a Canon standard one. To be honest, it’s really annoying, as it makes it difficult to open and close the back. I removed it.
Dear sir ..
if I have a Nikon FG20 and a Nikon Fe, what is the third Nikon camera that you recommend for me like (Fm or Fm2 or Fe2 .....), in terms of accepting all lenses such as Ai-s ais and nikkor s auto and non ai-s and DC lenses.
There will also be a diversity between electronic and mechanical cameras.
and the same thing on canon camera، Note that I have a Canon AV1 now.
Thanks
If you need to use non-AI lenses, then you need a camera that will flip the coupling prong out of the way. So that’s Nikon FM and FE, or some models of the F2.
I just inherited one and have no idea what i'm doing. I clicked the rewind film button on the bottom in, how does it unclick? I haven't got a battery yet
Check the link to the manual underneath the video
Hello! I purchased an AV-1 a few days ago, and everything was working fine until it came time for me to rewind the film. I pressed in the button on the bottom, but it stuck. Now, I can't take any pictures. Nothing happens when I press the shutter button or any other buttons, except for the battery button which confirms the battery is working.
Please, if you have any clue as to why my camera is not working, tell me! Any help is appreciated!
I hope this isn’t a silly question, but did you rewind the film back into the cannister using the lever on the rewind knob?
I got my fathers AV-1, I am not sure whether I can actually use it or not. This mainly because of the film that's required and I have no clue whether anyone still has the skills to develop it. Aside from being used to a Nikon D5200 myself and the film not being digital. What would you advice me to do? I am from the Netherlands and I am thinking whether to keep it or sell it. I do have a few lenses for it as I got all of his equipment after he passed away. The selling reason would be that I am looking at a possible upgrade for my own camera, I would like to get to a D750 or D850 if possible financially. I'm not rich at all, so I really do wish to ask for honest and fair opinions and advice only.
I used the D5100 for years. Then I upgraded to a full frame digital, and didn’t enjoy photography so much because of the size of the camera.
Now moved to Micro 4/3 digital and film.
You can buy plenty of film for the AV1
@@threeminutepro I sure should look around locally to see whether I can indeed get that film in and if someone can teach me how to use it properly. I just checked out the camera and it looks a little dirty but aside from that it looks like a brand new camera. Not sure, but there might be a film roll in it. Ill ask a specialist as I rather not touch it as it is. No idea what might be on it either.
I just noticed as well that the D780 was released, so I am looking into reviews to see whether I should throw in extra money to get that one instead. After seeing 1 video I must say I am already pleasantly surprised. But 1 video doesn't finish my research of course.
Thank you for your comment, much appreciated!
How do I get the shutter speed above a 30th of a second? My needle rests at the bottom of the viewfinder.

Dead battery 😀

I have a chrome version - the black version was not rare but was not common and cost a little more. NOTE - sticky shutters can be an issue with A, T and early EOS cameras - so check carefully before purchase.
Yes, I’ve read this in a lot of articles. Real shame, because they seemed so durable
Thinking about getting one. Should I?
It’s a lovely camera, and is a good price. You won’t be disappointed
I think film didn't move because film crank didn't turn while you advanced film.
Yes, that’s a good way to see if the film is moving
C'était un Super appareil pas cher comparer au numérique
