I want to formally apologize for putting Nolanverse over DCAU. Please put your frustration into a like on the video, I heard that’s the best way to get back at me idk
Icl don’t be sorry their your opinions and even if you prefer DCAU and were being nostalgic who cares man I’m just grateful about the time you took out of your day to make this sorry about everyone being mad
I WILL DEFEND THE REMOTE CONTROL BATARANG I’d say there’s several maps where I can come in handy as a quick distraction for enemies that would be a bit too far away for the normal Batarang to reach. Also in the Arkham knight version of the Batcave you can use the gadget to knock people off of walkways super easily which actually is so overpowered that you can get three stars on the level without taking a single step forward or using a grappling hook. Seriously I’ve tried and it’s completely possible largely because of the remote control Batarang
Another cool thing bout the Batclaw in predeator was in the original Arkham Asylum, after getting the Ultra Batclaw you could practically pull upto 3 enemies of ledges at once...it was so fun and hilarious to use in the challenge maps
The Batarang is a solid S Tier for me. Not only is it iconic but in these games it is so practical. Here are just a few things I can do: 1. Stun Enemy 2. Stun Multiple Enemies 3. Knock Enemies down for finisher 4. Hit Buttons 5. Cut gargoyle ropes to scare goons 6. Multi-Batarang Takedown 7. Takedown charging enemies 8. Blind Bane & Titans 9. Hit high up enemies 10. Knock people off of ledges 11. Scare people 12. Lure people 13. Detonate fire extinguishers 14. Detonate explosive canisters 15. Explosive Batarang Takedown And that’s not even counting unique variance of this gadget such as the Sonic Batarang and remote control Batarang Also the battering will typically Prioritize specific enemies of significant threat. This can be said for a lot of things in the Arkham combat but I think it’s worth noting since you don’t want the bad orang hitting an enemy on the opposite side of the field and not the guy who’s about to take a swing at you. So this quality of life feature comes in handy
The thing I like so much about the batarang is it is just so useful, not broken but useful. You can knock up to three enemies down in combat, which is a lot at the end, but in the huge combat encounters isn't that many at the beginning. In predator it is a silent gadget, but makes noise when you do a knock out with it. However, it can also be used to trigger smoke from fire extinguishers. As I said, useful, but not broken.
Aren't Multi-batarang takedown and explosive batarang takedown not gadgets but combat abilities? Aren't they also the same thing but in different games? I mean there is a batarang's special ability in Arkham knight with explosion which is specifically batarang's feature indeed, but I don't think it's a takedown.
Not to mention how fast it recharges. I've at times waited long periods of time just to disrupt more in a hard predator arena just to beat them. The game does turn off the recharge in most story parts with it & also the challenge maps if I remember right but for the watch towers & Checkpoints you can really screw over the dangerous enemies easily or prevent an arena from getting any guns & take out a few lads with it.
Joker tier list in Arkham Asylum: COMBAT Gun: NolanVerse. Only one shot, but it instantly kills someone. It also bumps up your challenge score by a lot PREDATOR Gun: NolanVerse. While it is loud, it can kill more than one enemy if lined up. Pretty strong Detective Googles: Mid. They're not like Batman's detective vision. You have to stand still to use it, big disadvantage. Chattering teeth: DCAU. Mixed with the gun, you can kill a lot of enemies, just like Harley Quinn's Jack in the box.
Joker tier list in Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League: COMBAT Gun: mid. It’s just a gun Ability: DCAU. It’s good for damage but you can’t move around with it. PREDATOR there is no predator in SSKTJL (cause why would there be)
I think the explosive gel deserves to be up at least one more tier just because of how iconic it is to the series (also in predator rooms there’s often a few guys that are just standing on guard, so if you sneak up behind them you can spray the explosive gel behind a few guys and detonated the moment they realize you’re taking out their teammates. For example if you take out three guys and the Arkham knight tells them, you can take out three more guys before they can even react)
I think just the simple fact that Batman, a serious character feels the need to draw a bat symbol with the gel is the funniest shit ever. I don't think the gadget would be anywhere as iconic as it is without that detail.
@@gibleymanI mean he wears a bat costume, has a bat signal, and names all his gadgets bat-something. A bat symbol isnt really that weird in that context
These people obsess over tdk as if it were the greatest thing put on film. Can tell by the voice the dude isn't old enough to have a thorough knowledge on it all lol
@@A.H.goose1ik bro is so triggered by an opinion 😂 like come on, does it matter at the end of the day? Let others have different opinions no matter how controversial they are.
Batclaw in predator sections in Asylum is NolanVerse to me. In all of the time I used it, the enemies where pulled down from the edge for sure. Sometimes in City and Origins they refuse to fall, but in Asylum (at least for me) they fall 100% of the time Also, there's the absolute broken ultra batclaw
No offense to Nolan, his take on Batman is definitely good and helped Prove to the general public that superhero movies could be cool. But the DCAU is just better in almost every way
Joker has 3 gadgets : Gun X ray specs And the teeth bomb Gun goes in mid tier as it only has one bullet and you have to have VERY precise aim but it is a 1-hit kill like red hoods guns it also attracts guards to your location which is ass X ray specs also goes in mid tier as its basically like detective mode but you cant move and your in 1st person The teeth bomb is SOLID S TIER that thing is OP its basically explosive gel but you can control how it moves, when it explodes etc. it also has INFINITE USES and insta kills people, which is nice .the only downside is that it has a time limit before it automatically blows up This is all for predator sections btw because all of the gadgets are very hard to use considering you cant move when using teeth and specs and you will probably miss your shot with the gun so for combat: Gun: SSKTJL tier Specs: useless Teeth: useless I hoped this helped. I wish you all the best in life!❤😊
I just played through Arkham Origins all the way to I AM THE NIGHT, and as crazy as this sounds, I’ve actually grown to appreciate the concussion detonator. It’s useless in close, quarters combat, but when you’re in a huge crowd of enemies, it can be useful to throw it to the other side of the battle arena and let them damage each other while Batman is taking care of some other henchman. But where it’s most useful is against certain bosses and brutes. The massive enemies will immediately become confused and not over their allies when hit with the detonator, and some boss fights are actually affected by this gadget so it helps there.
Definitely. I always open every combat by throwing one at the most threatening bad guy, especially if they're near others. It's a great way to buy time to get a good combo going with the rest of them. Funnily enough, while they don't work if you target a Titan enhanced enforcer directly, they're still stunned if they're in range when you target someone else. Where it really shines is in boss battles. They always take out at least one Copperhead clone. Using them in combination with the glue grenade is OP against Firefly. They can help with Shiva's backup. They should work against Deadshot. They even work against some versions of Bane, TN-1 not withstanding. I doubt they would work against Killer Croc and I highly doubt they would work against Electrocutioner. Oh well. No gadget is perfect.
I disagree with the explosive gel in predator because in knight, there is an upgrade for instant takedowns without weak walls so it makes it so useful for prep time since you can place it behind enemies who are standing still and then detonate it after you introduce yourself!
8:10 there is another useful, albeit encounter specific use to the freeze grenade; it can take Riddler informants (or the Mind controlled cop in the final phase of the Knight Mad Hatter storybook fight) out of the fight without knocking them out, allowing for an easier time taking out their allies while leaving them concious, so you can interrogate them at the end of the fight.
The explosive gel is really OP in City and Origins if you use it in Focus mode. It knocks down almost every enemy for a long period of time and can be combined with the multi-takedown to win fights instantly. Also, the Bolas keeps causing me to drop my combo whenever I quickfire it in City, so I'm gonna have to put it in dogshit tier for that reason.
Jonkler teir list combat/predator S. Teeth (1 use but very effective) A. B. Gun (one tap, quick, only 1 bullet) C. Goggles (can't move while using) D. F.
The one redeeming factor of the rc baterang is the fact that you can modify it so Batman throws it like a normal baterang but backwards making enemies look in the opposite direction of you
Joker Arkham asylum gadgets tier list: Combat: NolanVerse: nothing DCAU: The Gun, kills any enemy in one shot, but you only have one bullet. Mid: nothing Dogsh*t: The Joker Teeth, Take to long to detonate Useless: X-ray specs, it’s just detective vision, but you can’t move while using them Predator: NolanVerse: The Joker Teeth, get it in a crowded area with 2-3 guards and watch it go kaboom. DCAU: X-ray Specs, detective vision so it’s helpful in predator, but you have to stay still while using it, which keeps it from NolanVerse. Mid: The Gun, One shots, but still, only one bullet and alerts all the other guards to your location. Dogsh*t: Nothing Useless: Nothing
I actually loved the freeze blast grenade in City. You can use it at the start of a fight on armored, shield, and shock stick enemies(helps a lot in hard mode, especially ng+) to keep them out of the fight for the moment. Plus, with the freeflow gadgets upgrade that increases quickfire gadgets power, it freezes 3 enemies at once. Granted, you could just REC gun the armored enemy then ground takedown animation cancel using the quickfire batclaw. Freeze blast comes in handy more often than not in ng+ on hard. I almost forgot, you can also just freeze Riddler informants for a whole combat section so as to not accidentally take them out
My favourite gadget in all games is batarangs. They are always useful! In predator they set up easy ground takedowns and can be triple batarangs. Also they interact with fire extinguishers and red barrels. In combat they can get 3 ppl per throw and they get stunned for longer. Such a simple and incredibly useful from the beginning to the end.
Something nice about the batclaw is that it can disarm enemies in both combat and predator when you upgrade it. It's cool to not have to worry about guns for a bit in combat sections, and can be helpful if you're caught in predator sections (especially in Knight where it's not as OP but it has that at least)
I’m just saying if the ultra bat claw was on the list, it would be a solid S tier for sale just because you can pull three people off the ledge at once and even pull down fragile walls
I very much loved the cryptographic sequencer in arkham asylum, there was something just satisfying about finding the green sinusoid and blowing up those terminals
The concussion detonator while I admit is pretty useless at plain sight it actually has some pretty cool properties in origins. You can actually detonate it faster than usual if you press the input for it again a few moments after you throw it which makes it a pretty useful trap in stealth. It’s also a pretty good setup tool for counters during fights since enemies will instantly attack after getting hit by it which gives you some control over their behavior.
My ideal weapons list: Batmobile; Arkham Knight Batarang mechanics with Escrima Stick ricochet capabilities; Arkham City/Origins Batclaw with the combined capabilities of the Line Launcher, Zip Kick, Remote Claw, and Snare Trap; Arkham Knight Explosive Gel with Snap Flash, Wrist Dart, and Sonic Batarang/Jack-in-the-Box capabilities, Arkham Knight Freeze Grenade capabilities like in Arkham Origins: Blackgate, and unlimited ammo and auto-aim like Red Hood's guns; Arkham Knight Disruptor mechanics with Arkham City Disruptor design and unlimited ammo like Red Hood's guns; Remote Electric Charge gun with Electrical Blast capabilities in predator sections; Remote Control Batarang (seriously, look at others' predator videos; I love how creatively each weapon can be used); Smoke Bombs with Kujiki Bomb capabilities when you enter the smoke; Cryptographic Sequencer with Batgirl gameplay mechanics; and Voice Synthesizer (and I guess each Robin can keep their signature weapons).
I noticed from my time trying to get to Killer Croc in the Iceberg Lounge that the only time the batclaw gives you immunity to closer opponents' attacks is when you're aiming for electrified enemies. The game recognizes that as the primary threat above all.
I do use the line launcher to start fights, and it's pretty effective, too, at least in Arkham Knight. Step 1: fire a line over a group of enemies Step 2: Ropewalk Step 3: Use a smoke bomb, preferably throw it directly upwards so you have time before it falls Step 4: Fear Takedown Step 5: As soon as the smokebomb falls to the ground (or before it evaporates if you threw it on the ground) switch to the explosive gel and place some on the floor Step 6: Grapple up Now you can detonate the gel and take down at least two enemies, and you're still considered hidden so that recharges your fear takedown. I've used this method to take down as many as 10 enemies before even starting the fight
In my opinion I would’ve put the remote control batarang on DCAU, or prolly the Nolanverse you can send thugs in the air or over the ledge and can send them unconscious on predator missions.
A few notes: -The Concussion Detonator can be used to instantly kill Copperhead clones and stun (?) Firefly. This changes nothing about it though. -The Sonic Shock Batarang doesn't work in combat due to it only working on thugs with shock collars or heartbeat monitors. I think the same applies to the Voice Synth. -The RCB's rating really depends on the game; Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight it's a good tool to redirect attention at best, simply by hitting an enemy from the wrong direction. Arkham City and Origins, depending on the room, can wipe a room from a vantage point while leaving no trace of the location for enemies to find you. -Line Launcher in Asylum is extremely useful, bordering on mandatory for Asylum's Extreme Rooms and the second predator in Inmate Transfer, due to Gargoyles being removed. This also sort of applies to the modifier in City/Origins for the campaign and custom challenges, but not to the same degree due to map design. Also this shouldn't affect it's rating.
Yeah, in some of City's extreme campaign maps for predator I've had these moments where I had managed the requirements for all medals, but didn't really have any retires or health left, and just being a coward sitting out of sight and remote-batarang-ing people off of ledges (with some practice, even over railings) just seemed like the safest way to secure a win
Ok hear me out here. I love the line launcher for predator sections, especially in City. I do think it's offensive capabilities are dogshit. But it's other function of being able to climb on the rope is something I use constantly regardless if it's actually beneficial or not. Gargoyles are cool, but setting up a rope line across a room let's me position myself better while looking cool asf. It shines tremendously during free roam stealth on Arkham City as usually you have to do your stealth boots on the ground or move between roofs due to lack of gargoyles, so using the line launcher as an alternative makes things super fun. Tho yet again it does still have it's hiccups like the gadget being very strict about where and when it can be used, you need to stand upright at a high platform for you to be able to use it so that automatically makes it a bit janky on certain rooms.
13:40 there is actually at least 1 encounter where you can use the batmobile in a predator section; in the first Penguin Gun Cache, if you position the batmobile at the top of the multistorey car park where you need to be to take out the militia ambush after you leave, you can pick off a few thugs, however when you start, they will immediately take cover and won't leave until you're out of the car. I'm not sure how many other encounters take place where you can get a line of sight with the tank. It'd still be fairly bad, since they do take cover and it is an extremely limited number of encounters where it can be used, but it isn't quite useless. As an aside, if you do use the Batmobile for that Gun Cache, when you get back outside it is back on street level and you have to drive up throught the carpark again for no reasons.
I think the explosive gel needs to go up a tier for predator. It is more passive than the other gadgets but it can be used in two good ways. On a large predator encounter like Endless Knight you can pre place all your explosive gel at the start to get takedowns whenever they turn up, which is basically some free knockouts as long as your patient enough to avoid detection before starting the encounter. But what makes it great is when you start actively planning with it. In Arkham Knight it can knock out by itself without a wall, so place it down by a enemy and Knockout smash them to call enemies over, thats 2 for the price of one. But even better, place on a wall, bait a enemy in front, knockout smash and then break the wall when everyone is grouped up for even more knockouts. Enemies do catch onto the gel and start destroying it from a distance but you can hide it around corners so they cant destroy it without being in range, so its one of the only gadgets that are still usable after enemies catch on, which can be invaluable in long encounters like Endless Knight. This led me to a fun playstyle in Endless Knight, Knockout smash a enemy, place a gel, then grapple across the map to a different enemy to repeat. This led to enemies constantly chasing after my shadow and constantly being punished for it, and whats more batman like than predicting everyones every move and leading them all by the nose? TLDR: Its slow and clunky, but with a bit of patience can get you some free knockouts, but does have some more potential depth to unlock some interesting plays. Which I think merits it going in your DCAU tier.
4:51 Despite the gadget sucking overall, I will give the Concussion Detonator props for how good it is during the Cobblehead bossfight. You take out so many of her clones at once in the later phases by just spamming this. It turns the fight into a complete joke to the point that on my latest New Game Plus run of Origins, I beat Cobblehead damageless. That's the one genuine time where the Concussion detonator is useful throughout the entirety of Origins.
there's a really specific but cool usage for concussion detonator in combat and is those sections in GCPD where you're supposed to avoid these big groups of armed enemies because it's supposed to be impossible to fight against them in combat, if you use the concussion detonator you can actually beat like 14 armed enemies in combat
The line launcher is actually quite useful in predator sections because you can use it to create your own platform and set up a fear takedown against a large group of thugs. It is especially good in Endless Knight because it is one of the weapons that they never adapt to.
Dunno about you guys, but I find the explosive gel quite useful in predator, I usually place it down right beside someone I used a knockdown on (or whatever the f a loud takedown is called), it usually attracts two or so enemies. And it's an AMAZING combo when you have a disrupted med with them, basically a triple takedown. Though I played mostly Arkham Knight, so who am I to speak?
Explosive gel in the stealth category should be in dcau tier, its very useful in stealth chaleng maps, when trying to get the fastest time. And its just cool as heck combining ir with the fear takedown.
@dawudabdulali3827 and yet you planned to threaten me because I placed the batarang in B tier. Yk, I originally almost found myself placing it in the C section but chose not to
In predator sections I use explosive gel a LOT. 1. Take out thug 2. Spray gel immediately after 3. If you have proxy explosion you’ll hear it go off, you can go tk that location and take out the other thug it just knocked out, then lay another one. 4. If not you can lure thugs towards the gel or just wait for them to go near it (works well against the suicide collar thugs ke any that alert the rest of their group when they’re taken out). Then manually make it explode. Basically anytime I take out a thug and there’s not another one immediately nearby to take out I leave explosive gel on the floor next to said thug. Also use it heat and there in combat. Just quick fire it, then go back to fighting while herding the thugs to the gel and/or using it as a shield where I stand so the gel is between me and other thugs. Not saying it’s Nolan tier or anything, just that it’s significantly better than you said it was. Like the problem you said about it being tricky in combat because of button combinations and it throwing off the combat is a skill issue and kinda silly when you don’t bring up the same thing for batclaw and rec gun.
"Explosive gel is mid in both combat and predator sections." And that's why YOU'RE mid in combat and predator sections! In all seriousness though, strongly disagree, while it's not exactly the easiest to use or master, the explosive gel just has WAY too many use cases in both combat and stealth. Starting with the obvious, there's clearly the ability to takedown one or multiple enemies, potentially even whole groups using it on walls, ladders and stairs, as well as possibly just getting lucky when placing it near a ledge, making it an easy tool for instant takedowns from long range which next to no other weapon can do, never mind also having infinite uses per encounter, with only the 3 gel at a time limit on it (which if it didn't have, there would literally never be any reason to use anything else in stealth sections). But also, it's relatively easy and quick to quickfire in City and Origins, I mean it's literally a free mini-mine as long as you have even the slightest bit of breathing room, is a free (potentially multi)knock-down, which I will admit does struggle in terms of keeping combos, but that's remedied in Knight with the new ranged quickfire, albeit with the replaced drawback of the awkward stun mechanic- But that's only counting the NORMAL ways of using the explosive gel, which so far include but aren't limited to multiple guaranteed risk-free takedowns in various situations. The more advanced applications also include using the NORMAL version of the gadget to damage Titan bosses, which is a common speedrunning strategy across all Arkham games they appear in, as well as borderline necessitated for getting certain achievements, and on the top of speedrunning strategies, A LOT of them involve the use of explosive gel, such as zipping out of bounds in Asylum to skip entire sections, or another glitch that makes it even more overpowered in both combat and stealth sections which allows you to use the quickfire (in at least knight, though I believe a version might be available in City and Origins as well) to entirely skip the animations of SILENT TAKEDOWNS and GROUND TAKEDOWNS, effectively eliminating the two longest and most vulnerable animations in the entire series, and you might not even fire the gel if you time it correctly. Plus, nothing matches the hilarity of pressing a few buttons quickly and seeing the thug in front of you collapse from a heart attack because Batman almost gave him a hug- Now I will admit, I haven't tested it's viability in City and Origins for the more advanced/unintended features, but the brokeness of it in Knight alone should qualify it for an S tier. When used as intended it can lock down an entire room without you needing to do anything, and when used as unintended, it breaks all laws of known physics and reveals eldritch knowledge on Sundays. Obviously though, I understand not everyone is gonna learn speedrun strats, but the gadget is still pretty damn overpowered with the right conditions, just stop waiting for a guy to walk past the wall you placed it on 10 minutes ago, and actually do something to lure people there. If the ice/glue grenade as well as the remote claw deserve a DCAU spot or higher, the gel does too. Because if used right, the gel can serve almost the exact same purpose, albeit with more setup.
I think you're sleeping on the concussion detonator for combat.
The explosive gel was overpowered as hell in city since you could chose when to detonate it, and then pair it with the multi ground takedown combo to wipe every enemy out at once.
The RCB is actually really useful on certain predator mode scenarios for one single motive, the reverse batarang. While I can admit that it's very niche it's a pseudo mini stun on 2 or 3 enemies that can give you an opening to attack.
One thing I have to disagree with is Batclaw's placement in combat. Batclaw should be in the S tier for a few reasons. Even though you might get hit when using the batclaw, once you get to the second animation (slamming enemies to the ground), it will cancel other enemies actions, which will give you some breathing room. This is a huge buff in AK because AC and AO don't have this feature. You will get hit regardless of which animation you are in. You don't want to use the batclaw on regular enemies because you are still vulnerable in the first animation. Always use the batclaw on electrified enemies; this will immediately cancel other enemies actions. You are completely safe throughout the animation, and no enemies can approach you. The best upgrade for the Batclaw is the Batclaw Combat Takedown. This is one of the few takedowns that can completely knock out an armoured brute with one takedown, while you usually need two takedowns against an armoured brute.
I'm a massive Arkham City and I've played Arkham Origins a lot too. You underclassed many gadgets such as explosive gel, bat-claw, disruptor and many others. The reason is you forgot important uses of thoses gadgets. Here are some examples : - explosive gel allows walls explosion takedown in Predator mode. - disruptor can explode landmines and take enemies out - bat-claw can pull the enemies over a barrier and make them fall taking them out. Those three gadgets, like others I didn't mention, are not "mid". They got takedown power and have other uses
Concussion Detonator has good uses for the Firefly Boss Fight and Copperhead. Firefly - it's an instant knockdown for Firefly so you can cycle through Glue Grenade, Batarang, Detonator. Makes the fight easy asl
So I have a unique perspective on some of the combat gadgets, I played the hell out of the challenge maps and eventually found myself getting top 25 scores so my views on some are definitely from a different view of how much mileage I can get out of something to reach that next rank on the leaderboard. To do this I had to adopt some unique techniques with the gadgets that can be viewed as useless: Concussion Detonator - A lot of its criticism is warranted but it's low damage and making enemies spin in a circle hitting each other actually gave you points when they hit each other(especially when used with the bat swarm), a lot of points at high combo levels, and enemies can't knock themselves out easily. This is very ideal for building up points really easily. Group them up with evades and toss one in the middle and profit. Also nice during the game for screwing with combat waves that feature guns in play and you don't have ability to break the gun unlocked or built up yet. Predator maps, I used it to set up mutli-person clearing explosive gel takedowns, hit someone with it and cause people to come over and look and when they group up take them all out with the preset Explosive Gelled wall Distuptor (Arkham Knight) - Useless during combat due it being to slow and not intended for that usage but opening a combat encounter with strategic usage can actually end a fight literally the moment it starts both in combat challenges and in actually story mode. Nothing more cinematic and Batman like then smoke bombing into the middle of a group of enemies or checkpoint only to have them all explode a moment later when the smoke clears. Also pretty funny to take on a group of tanks with Batman on foot using this, while on paper sounds like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded Revolver, is actually the fastest way to destroy the toughest of tanks that can only be damaged from behind (I forget the name but they will explode instantly when they spot Batman when hit with the Disruptor) Explosive Gel (Asylem and City) - While it had no s, the animation was useful for small groups; use the animation to dodge out of the way while laying a trap blowing it up and sneaking in a free ground pound, very profitable at high combos. Timing was tight but when mastered it was a very checky way to squeak out an extra ten or twenty thousand Explosive Gel (Knight) - Same as Concussion Detonator and just as useful, arguably more so given the increase in the volume of enemies. When opening fights from a glide and using it in this manner it was nice for disabling a few to give you time alone with a Brute Freeze Grenade - Nice for holding a Brute until the end of the challenge while focusing on getting your combo up as high as possible, then use a beatdown to squeak out an extra 15 or so hits before hitting a takedown, maximum points. Also nice if there is a particular enemy you need to save for last such as an informant, useful for me as my brain outside of challenge maps tends to go on auto-pilot at this point while playing an Arkham game and I have leveled so many informants its not even funny and seeing icy blue man tells my brain not to hit it until the end (like I do in challenge maps) Batclaw - You do actually go forward a bit when using the quickfire version if Batman has the clearance to do so and with good timing can give you enough space to avoid some moves. In Knight with the focus mode active, using this will cause a gigantic AoE bat swarm like effect that will KO a Brute instantly nice if your fighting two of them. Remote Claw - While high risk, it is high reward, at high combos and if an propane tank is on the field, you can hook the propane tank to a group to level all of them and get in about 2 or 3 ground pounds. Again high risk but high reward when each ground pound in a high combo can net you 10K Line Launcher - I got tons of mileage out of it in the Extreme versions of Combat maps, knock everyone down and go for easy uncontested ground pounds when your combo is high enough. Predator maps as well to make my own vantage points when enemies are looking at gargoyles which was frequent on Extreme. RCB - Asylum it was a tool and left a lot to be desired in combat, City and beyond it was broken, don't even have to move to wipe out an entire room. In Knight I started hitting people like it was an uppercut and this gave it while boosted enough force to knock people over railings. Easily my preferred Predator tool
My favorite Arkham series misconception is that WB Montreal didn't create the concept for the shock gloves, they were introduced in Arkham City: Armored Edition for the Wii U
I usually use the freeze grenade to freeze the riddle guys you have to interrogate. That way I don't knock them out on accident. Also, you've always been able to freeze multiple people. In combat, once you enter your free focus mode and use the freeze grenade at the end of your combo, it freezes like 3 people at once.
The freeze blast deserves to be higher. You can just completely take a big guy or a guy with an annoying weapon you don't want to deal with completely out of the fight by pressing one button. Also, the REC gun can make big guys swing around and knock their friends over, he didn't mention that. The claw and I think Robin's shield bash can force an enemy to immediately drop their weapon, so you can take away their annoying stun stick with one button. As for stealth, I think he's sleeping on the batarangs a little. You can use it to take down 2 guys, because you can knock one down, take down the standing guys, and then go finish the one on the ground. The remote controlled one can trick them into thinking you're somewhere you aren't too. You can knock somebody over, and his buddies will turn away from you where they think it came from. Not amazing, but slightly more useful than he thinks. The freeze blast's mine version lets you not worry about being spotted or making noise, because the guy who runs over to you first is going to be frozen. It allows you to be unsafe and not suffer for it. Same goes for Catwoman's caltrops, but they aren't frozen, they just fall down. I think if they're running to your location, they won't see them and kick them out of the way, so you need to let them see you or make a loud noise.
Freeze grenade is great in combat/predator, should’ve been S. In oredator, if u dont have a smoke pellet, you can use it to pause whoever is shooting at u and get away. And the freeze mine stuns them for so long and lets you re orient how the enemies are moving around. In combat, spamming the crap out of it is fun on enemies. Especially being able to freeze hammer/sickle in city. You can use it to freeze someone difficult or you wanna keep conscious (riddler informants or armored enemies for building a combo later), plus w the free flow gadget upgrade, u freeze a bunch of people at once. Using it right can give you time to fight half the group you were. Just abuse the crap out of it
Here’s something interesting about the RCB, if an enemy is on the top of stairs you can use the RCB going at full speed to push them all the way down the stairs for an easy takeout Example: endless knight, use it when someone is near the stairs with the generator near it
With explosive gel in predator, you can take someone out and trap their body with it, giving you an easy ground takedown. Quickfire can also be used if you are spotted in Knight. Personally, id rank it in DCAU for that. You just have to be creative and have a "high risk, high reward" mentality.
Explosive gel is definitely one of the most OP in the main thriology (not sure about Origins because I don't remember if it even exists). In Asylum it has insane range and enemies get too far knocked out, allowing you to get free KOs off every single stair, and Asylum is the game in which there is more of those scattered around every single map. In Arkham city they kinda nerfed the knock out from the ledge thing but you still can do it consistently even inside the open world and is extremely useful when doing challenges In Arkham Knight is needless to say it is beyond broken. Free KOs and too many fragile walls. Definitely one of best gadgets among the series with the Disruptor in Arkham Knight
To defend the bat claw when it comes to taking to long. its only the shield enemies that can really mess you up when doing it if you dont outright do it when being punched. its a way of cheesing the iceberg lounge croc fight as you can spam it and just never get hit.
Great tierlists, however I disagree with the Batclaw and the Zip-Kick in combat: Yes, the Zip-Kick has faster frame data than the Batclaw, but the latter is divided into two moves, the pull and the slam, which tricks the game into thinking you didn't do the same move in a row, allowing you to use it again and again. The Zip-Kick only functions as one move, so you can't repeat it unless you do another move beforehand. This is essential against electrified enemies in Arkham Knight, as you often need to use the Batclaw twice in a row. Another big benefit for the Batclaw is a core mechanic of Batman Arkham combat, if you use the correct tool/gadget against the right enemy type/behavior, you WILL get i-frames. The Batclaw gives you free i-frames throughout its entirity, both parts included, giving you time and space to think your next move. The Zip-Kick, however, does NOT give you i-frames while it's pulling you towards the enemies, so Robin can accidentally kick a shielded enemy upfront (he can also kick them sideways, which saves your combo), ending your combo. In the worst case scenario, you kick an enemy with a stun baton, which is worse, and because Robin doesn't have the REC or the Disarm and Destroy Special Combo, you will end up getting screwed over by the Zip-Kick sooner or later. In conclusion, the Batclaw is better than the Zip-Kick in every way during combat, and it deserves it's Nolanverse S tier.
So for Joker's gadgets he has 3: Exploding Teeth, X-ray glasses, & a gun with 1 bullet. In following your tier list: X-ray glasses useless in combat & ass in predator maps its literally Detective mode at home; gun i'd say is in Snyder verse or ass for both the gun doesn't come up in combat except for like one enemy & in predator its only one shot instant kill but draws attention; exploding teeth doesn't really come up in combat but in predator mode top tier it can travel anywhere on the floor & be detonated anytime & one shots enemies in range
Dude fym rcb is dogshit in predator sections!? I use it all the time. It’s good for (like you said) pushing people off ledges, if there is a guy you can’t reach or is in a tight space and you don’t want to go down and risk getting caught, it’s good for that. Probably the thing I use it most for is scouting out the area safely. It’s fucking amazing
I think you should reconsider the room remote control baterang in the tier list. Because you were forgetting about the reverse battering function that is basically just aim bot. I think it’s at least enough to put them up one tear
I think you’ve forgotten one of the better features of the line launcher, you can wire walk on it, like in Insomniac’s Spider-Man with his webs. An extra grapple point never hurts.
I like to use the RCB's reverse batarang function as a distraction, and to make them think I'm coming from a different direction, so i actually rely on it pretty heavily for predator challenges
The gel is not all mid in predator considering you can instantly take out multiple goons at once in different parts of the room. It's great for thinning the herd.
IMO I think you could bump up the line launcher for stealth in the Zack Snyder DCEU tier, u can use it to make you own wire to walk on to take enemies out, kinda like what the remote claw does in origins, but I also understand why it’s useless, but the set up for it can be good in the right situation
in arkham knight i think you can one shot people with explosive gel with upgrades, so if you smash takedown someone spray gel and flee, they will find the body then you can detonate
I want to formally apologize for putting Nolanverse over DCAU. Please put your frustration into a like on the video, I heard that’s the best way to get back at me idk
I'll get back at you then 😊
Well take this!

It's okay nolanverse over dcau is not terrible
Icl don’t be sorry their your opinions and even if you prefer DCAU and were being nostalgic who cares man I’m just grateful about the time you took out of your day to make this sorry about everyone being mad
People are entitled to their own opinions, you can prefer whichever you like. Sorry that everyone was a jerk about it
Why does everyone forget the ultra batclaw from asylum 😢 you could literally yank 3 guys right off a ledge/bridge AND pull down explosive walls
True, it was op
Bc you get it towards the end and there's no new game plus and most stealth maps don't have those challenges so it's useless
I WILL DEFEND THE REMOTE CONTROL BATARANG
I’d say there’s several maps where I can come in handy as a quick distraction for enemies that would be a bit too far away for the normal Batarang to reach.
Also if you get the upgrade you can make enemies look the other way after you hit them
I just use it to quick scope the area when they disable my X-ray vision 😂
Another cool thing bout the Batclaw in predeator was in the original Arkham Asylum, after getting the Ultra Batclaw you could practically pull upto 3 enemies of ledges at once...it was so fun and hilarious to use in the challenge maps
The Batarang is a solid S Tier for me.
Not only is it iconic but in these games it is so practical. Here are just a few things I can do:
1. Stun Enemy
2. Stun Multiple Enemies
3. Knock Enemies down for finisher
4. Hit Buttons
5. Cut gargoyle ropes to scare goons
6. Multi-Batarang Takedown
7. Takedown charging enemies
8. Blind Bane & Titans
9. Hit high up enemies
10. Knock people off of ledges
11. Scare people
12. Lure people
13. Detonate fire extinguishers
14. Detonate explosive canisters
15. Explosive Batarang Takedown
And that’s not even counting unique variance of this gadget such as the Sonic Batarang and remote control Batarang
Also the battering will typically Prioritize specific enemies of significant threat.

The disruptor from Knight deserved it's own tier above the rest. That thing is ridiculously overpowered even when compared to other OP gadgets
agreed
On ng+ it was so so clutch it absolutely deserves more respect
Not to mention how fast it recharges. I've at times waited long periods of time just to disrupt more in a hard predator arena just to beat them. The game does turn off the recharge in most story parts with it & also the challenge maps if I remember right but for the watch towers & Checkpoints you can really screw over the dangerous enemies easily or prevent an arena from getting any guns & take out a few lads with it.
Joker tier list in Arkham Asylum:
COMBAT
Gun: NolanVerse. Only one shot, but it instantly kills someone. It also bumps up your challenge score by a lot
PREDATOR
Gun: NolanVerse. While it is loud, it can kill more than one enemy if lined up. Pretty strong
Detective Googles: Mid. They're not like Batman's detective vision. You have to stand still to use it, big disadvantage.
Chattering teeth: DCAU. Mixed with the gun, you can kill a lot of enemies, just like Harley Quinn's Jack in the box.
Joker tier list in Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League:
COMBAT
Gun: mid. It’s just a gun
Ability: DCAU. It’s good for damage but you can’t move around with it.
PREDATOR
there is no predator in SSKTJL (cause why would there be)

@@gustthestupidnoob2393 They definitely can be used. Joker can only be used in challenge maps, where else could you use the chattering teeth?
@@IL_FICO sorry for the misscomunication, i meant on combat maps, not challenge maps in general
@@gustthestupidnoob2393 So they removed chattering teeth in combat maps? Eh who cares, not that they're that useful anyway
Not many know that it deserves S tier. When empowered with freeflow gadgets, it becomes the most powerful move batman has in City!

Batclaw in predator sections in Asylum is NolanVerse to me. In all of the time I used it, the enemies where pulled down from the edge for sure. Sometimes in City and Origins they refuse to fall, but in Asylum (at least for me) they fall 100% of the time
Also, there's the absolute broken ultra batclaw
Nolanverse being above Dcau is CRAZY
No offense to Nolan, his take on Batman is definitely good and helped Prove to the general public that superhero movies could be cool. But the DCAU is just better in almost every way
so is ssktjl being above useless
It's just preference
DCAU 10x better than Nolanverse & I love the trilogy.
Nolanverse above dcau is a valid opinion
Joker has 3 gadgets :
Gun
X ray specs
And the teeth bomb
Gun goes in mid tier as it only has one bullet and you have to have VERY precise aim but it is a 1-hit kill like red hoods guns it also attracts guards to your location which is ass
X ray specs also goes in mid tier as its basically like detective mode but you cant move and your in 1st person
The teeth bomb is SOLID S TIER that thing is OP its basically explosive gel but you can control how it moves, when it explodes etc. it also has INFINITE USES and insta kills people, which is nice .the only downside is that it has a time limit before it automatically blows up
This is all for predator sections btw because all of the gadgets are very hard to use considering you cant move when using teeth and specs and you will probably miss your shot with the gun so for combat:
Gun: SSKTJL tier
Specs: useless
Teeth: useless
I hoped this helped.
Tier list names are crazy
This is going to be a Definitive Batman Arkham Gadget Tier List.
I disagree with the explosive gel in predator because in knight, there is an upgrade for instant takedowns without weak walls so it makes it so useful for prep time since you can place it behind enemies who are standing still and then detonate it after you introduce yourself!
Yep, or place it on a knocked out guy and use it on a medic who tries to revive him instead of using the disruptor ammo on the medic pack
Was about to comment the same for the explosive gel. I got like 15 multi-takedowns with it once, it was so stupid my game lagged

Joker Arkham asylum gadgets tier list:
Combat:
NolanVerse: nothing
DCAU: The Gun, kills any enemy in one shot, but you only have one bullet.
Mid: nothing
Dogsh*t: The Joker Teeth, Take to long to detonate
Useless: X-ray specs, it’s just detective vision, but you can’t move while using them
Predator:
NolanVerse: The Joker Teeth, get it in a crowded area with 2-3 guards and watch it go kaboom.
DCAU: X-ray Specs, detective vision so it’s helpful in predator, but you have to stay still while using it, which keeps it from NolanVerse.
Mid: The Gun, One shots, but still, only one bullet and alerts all the other guards to your location.
Dogsh*t: Nothing
Useless: Nothing
The explosive gel is actually overpowered in City. With Freeflow Gadgets, it becomes a nuke. Yes, it is Batman's most powerful move
Use this with multiple ground takedowns. You basically knock out every thug in the encounter.
Fun Fact: Catwoman can quickfire disarm with her whip with the quickfire batclaw input
I like this video. I have a few issues with it though that I think I’ll address in my own tierlist. Thanks for the inspo
Same, I pulled 3 guys into the abbys
I don't think there is any Batman gadget that is truly useless, when you watch those old Arkham videos, you realize how useful these things are.
It’s weird Nightwing doesn’t have the disrupter in Arkham Knight since he gives it to you in the game, like what would he give away his only one?
8:30 As an Arkham fan and as an epileptic, that was funny.
I do use the line launcher to start fights, and it's pretty effective, too, at least in Arkham Knight.
Step 1: fire a line over a group of enemies
Step 2: Ropewalk
Step 3: Use a smoke bomb, preferably throw it directly upwards so you have time before it falls
Step 4: Fear Takedown
Step 5: As soon as the smokebomb falls to the ground (or before it evaporates if you threw it on the ground) switch to the explosive gel and place some on the floor
Step 6: Grapple up
Now you can detonate the gel and take down at least two enemies, and you're still considered hidden so that recharges your fear takedown. I've used this method to take down as many as 10 enemies before even starting the fight
In my opinion I would’ve put the remote control batarang on DCAU, or prolly the Nolanverse you can send thugs in the air or over the ledge and can send them unconscious on predator missions.
A few notes:
-The Concussion Detonator can be used to instantly kill Copperhead clones and stun (?) Firefly.
I love the remote hacking device in the Twoface challenges ngl
New PFP goes hard
Watching Batman get more beat up while successfully landing the gadget had me dying of laughter 🤣🤣
Maybe you'll defeat Copperhead someday.
Imo the disruptor is a huge S tier. Especially in stealth, the versatility of it is amazing.
there's a really specific but cool usage for concussion detonator in combat and is those sections in GCPD where you're supposed to avoid these big groups of armed enemies because it's supposed to be impossible to fight against them in combat, if you use the concussion detonator you can actually beat like 14 armed enemies in combat
The line launcher is actually quite useful in predator sections because you can use it to create your own platform and set up a fear takedown against a large group of thugs. It is especially good in Endless Knight because it is one of the weapons that they never adapt to.
I put the Concussion Detonator a little higher because of how helpful it is when fighting Copperhead and Firefly.
18:44 bro was getting down in the smoke
Dunno about you guys, but I find the explosive gel quite useful in predator, I usually place it down right beside someone I used a knockdown on (or whatever the f a loud takedown is called), it usually attracts two or so enemies. And it's an AMAZING combo when you have a disrupted med with them, basically a triple takedown. Though I played mostly Arkham Knight, so who am I to speak?
Explosive gel in the stealth category should be in dcau tier, its very useful in stealth chaleng maps, when trying to get the fastest time. And its just cool as heck combining ir with the fear takedown.
If you don't like it, then make your own
@@airtiger4577 I never said I didn't like it 😂what a you in about ?
@dawudabdulali3827 and yet you planned to threaten me because I placed the batarang in B tier. Yk, I originally almost found myself placing it in the C section but chose not to
@@airtiger4577 I wasn't threatening you, what are you on about ?
@@airtiger4577 *loads shotgun* seriously what are you talking about ?
In predator sections I use explosive gel a LOT.
1. Take out thug
2. Spray gel immediately after
"Explosive gel is mid in both combat and predator sections."
And that's why YOU'RE mid in combat and predator sections!
But also, it's relatively easy and quick to quickfire in City and Origins, I mean it's literally a free mini-mine as long as you have even the slightest bit of breathing room, is a free (potentially multi)knock-down, which I will admit does struggle in terms of keeping combos, but that's remedied in Knight with the new ranged quickfire, albeit with the replaced drawback of the awkward stun mechanic-
But that's only counting the NORMAL ways of using the explosive gel, which so far include but aren't limited to multiple guaranteed risk-free takedowns in various situations.
Plus, nothing matches the hilarity of pressing a few buttons quickly and seeing the thug in front of you collapse from a heart attack because Batman almost gave him a hug-
Now I will admit, I haven't tested it's viability in City and Origins for the more advanced/unintended features, but the brokeness of it in Knight alone should qualify it for an S tier.
The explosive gel was overpowered as hell in city since you could chose when to detonate it, and then pair it with the multi ground takedown combo to wipe every enemy out at once.
17:18 watch aggressive Arkham knight stealth if you are on a map with ledges the you can instantly take out any light thug
The RCB is actually really useful on certain predator mode scenarios for one single motive, the reverse batarang. While I can admit that it's very niche it's a pseudo mini stun on 2 or 3 enemies that can give you an opening to attack.
You can actually use the Batmobile in some story based predator sections like the computer guards at ace or the clock tower
Here are some examples :
- explosive gel allows walls explosion takedown in Predator mode.
- disruptor can explode landmines and take enemies out
- bat-claw can pull the enemies over a barrier and make them fall taking them out.
Those three gadgets, like others I didn't mention, are not "mid". They got takedown power and have other uses
12:41 it also works in asylum. I’ve tried it, it’s busted a heck, and I love it!
To do this I had to adopt some unique techniques with the gadgets that can be viewed as useless:
Concussion Detonator - A lot of its criticism is warranted but it's low damage and making enemies spin in a circle hitting each other actually gave you points when they hit each other(especially when used with the bat swarm), a lot of points at high combo levels, and enemies can't knock themselves out easily. This is very ideal for building up points really easily. Group them up with evades and toss one in the middle and profit. Also nice during the game for screwing with combat waves that feature guns in play and you don't have ability to break the gun unlocked or built up yet. Predator maps, I used it to set up mutli-person clearing explosive gel takedowns, hit someone with it and cause people to come over and look and when they group up take them all out with the preset Explosive Gelled wall
Distuptor (Arkham Knight) - Useless during combat due it being to slow and not intended for that usage but opening a combat encounter with strategic usage can actually end a fight literally the moment it starts both in combat challenges and in actually story mode. Nothing more cinematic and Batman like then smoke bombing into the middle of a group of enemies or checkpoint only to have them all explode a moment later when the smoke clears. Also pretty funny to take on a group of tanks with Batman on foot using this, while on paper sounds like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded Revolver, is actually the fastest way to destroy the toughest of tanks that can only be damaged from behind (I forget the name but they will explode instantly when they spot Batman when hit with the Disruptor)
Explosive Gel (Asylem and City) - While it had no s, the animation was useful for small groups; use the animation to dodge out of the way while laying a trap blowing it up and sneaking in a free ground pound, very profitable at high combos. Timing was tight but when mastered it was a very checky way to squeak out an extra ten or twenty thousand
Explosive Gel (Knight) - Same as Concussion Detonator and just as useful, arguably more so given the increase in the volume of enemies. When opening fights from a glide and using it in this manner it was nice for disabling a few to give you time alone with a Brute
Freeze Grenade - Nice for holding a Brute until the end of the challenge while focusing on getting your combo up as high as possible, then use a beatdown to squeak out an extra 15 or so hits before hitting a takedown, maximum points. Also nice if there is a particular enemy you need to save for last such as an informant, useful for me as my brain outside of challenge maps tends to go on auto-pilot at this point while playing an Arkham game and I have leveled so many informants its not even funny and seeing icy blue man tells my brain not to hit it until the end (like I do in challenge maps)
Batclaw - You do actually go forward a bit when using the quickfire version if Batman has the clearance to do so and with good timing can give you enough space to avoid some moves.
Again high risk but high reward when each ground pound in a high combo can net you 10K
Line Launcher - I got tons of mileage out of it in the Extreme versions of Combat maps, knock everyone down and go for easy uncontested ground pounds when your combo is high enough.
Awesome vid bro❤
I usually use the freeze grenade to freeze the riddle guys you have to interrogate. That way I don't knock them out on accident. Also, you've always been able to freeze multiple people. In combat, once you enter your free focus mode and use the freeze grenade at the end of your combo, it freezes like 3 people at once.
i think a lot of people forget how op the rec gun's combo attack is in arkham knight, i stuns like 7 people at once for a considerable amount of time.
damn GP is roasting everybody in this video for no reason
Just abuse the crap out of it
Here’s something interesting about the RCB, if an enemy is on the top of stairs you can use the RCB going at full speed to push them all the way down the stairs for an easy takeout
Example: endless knight, use it when someone is near the stairs with the generator near it
Freeze grenade is helpful for stopping the Riddlers goons also
With explosive gel in predator, you can take someone out and trap their body with it, giving you an easy ground takedown. Quickfire can also be used if you are spotted in Knight. Personally, id rank it in DCAU for that. You just have to be creative and have a "high risk, high reward" mentality.
Concussion Detonator helps in both the copperhead and firefly bossfights making them so much easier than they already were
Explosive gel is definitely one of the most OP in the main thriology (not sure about Origins because I don't remember if it even exists). In Asylum it has insane range and enemies get too far knocked out, allowing you to get free KOs off every single stair, and Asylum is the game in which there is more of those scattered around every single map.
In Arkham city they kinda nerfed the knock out from the ledge thing but you still can do it consistently even inside the open world and is extremely useful when doing challenges
In Arkham Knight is needless to say it is beyond broken. Free KOs and too many fragile walls. Definitely one of best gadgets among the series with the Disruptor in Arkham Knight
In my opinion the best is freeze blast
Fair
@@thegreatacolyt1277 reason is in Arkham knight you can freeze blast and a split second in predator it’s a instant take down
@@Intheshadowswewatch ah
Havent wacthed the vid yet, but baterang better be in S tier in all categories.
It wasn't.
To defend the bat claw when it comes to taking to long. its only the shield enemies that can really mess you up when doing it if you dont outright do it when being punched. its a way of cheesing the iceberg lounge croc fight as you can spam it and just never get hit.
Great tierlists, however I disagree with the Batclaw and the Zip-Kick in combat:
Yes, the Zip-Kick has faster frame data than the Batclaw, but the latter is divided into two moves, the pull and the slam, which tricks the game into thinking you didn't do the same move in a row, allowing you to use it again and again.
I LOVE having gadgets in Batman Arkham!😊
26:33 i can strongly agree that nightwing packs the best cake!!! As a straight guy myself!
The only downside to Red Hood’s guns is that they don’t add any seconds to your time in Endless Knight
I think you’ve forgotten one of the better features of the line launcher, you can wire walk on it, like in Insomniac’s Spider-Man with his webs. An extra grapple point never hurts.
We need Batman Arkham esports
explosive gel was crazy cracked in city combat
You can also use the rec to build up a massive combo (and by extension multiplier in challenge) a shield thug by shock punch and repeat
Bro, you forgot the freeze cluster grenade. Freezes an entire groups feet, making it perfect for combat imo
in arkham knight i think you can one shot people with explosive gel with upgrades, so if you smash takedown someone spray gel and flee, they will find the body then you can detonate
The explosive gel for predator sections is broken, you can take out like 6 guys at once
Bro the smoke grenade is pure class , DCAMU
The things I've seen people do with explosive gel is crazy, the try hards do some stuff that makes you wonder you're playing the same game as him
