- This week we are in in our campervan travelling around Ullswater, Lake District. We discover an amazing water fall called Aira Force and do our typical day in the life van life stuff! It's our last weekend in the Lake District for a little while and next week we will be heading up to Scotland.

BACKGROUND STORY
We are steps2adventure, better known as Jordan & Annalise. We created the steps2adventure brand to inspire people to explore what the outdoors has to offer. Back in 2019 we always knew we wanted to travel, we were planning backpacking trips, train journeys.. you name it. Thankfully we came across the van life UA-camrs! As soon as we saw this way of life we knew this was it, this is how we want to live and travel. So, we bought a van… Not just any van, she’s a 2007 LWB Mercedes sprinter van, an absolute beast!! We have spent over 2 years converting her in-between work and some little adventures across the UK.

all great countries, I'm lucky to be living in France in Maine et Loire, dead end road, two neighbours, less than ten minutes from the shops, and I'm off grid, brought my house for € 6500, mind you that was 20 years ago !! Would I ever move, definitely not ! Plus I have my converted Iveco for my van life.

The Anymaka hammock (I know you mentioned you're going to do a separate video review of it) - did you find anywhere in the UK to buy it or did you get it direct from the USA?
We actually got it shipped to us from Anymaka themselves so I’m not sure but I’ll find out all the info and include it in the video, not next week but the one after 🥰 x

Hi please take this as a friendly enquiry but does it ever cross your minds that wild camping isn’t allowed in the lakes and how do you square this with yourselves
I only ask because I’d quite like to do the same but have heard locals can be quite hostile to overnighters in lay-bys.

If you look on the Lake District website you’re allowed to overnight stay in a campervan as long as there are no signs. We have a few spots that we alternate between whilst we are working. I’d just avoid the busy tourist places
