Bare Knuckle Boot Camp - Brute Force Humbuckers (demo)

- This video should demonstrate the Brute Force humbuckers in a context other than metal. Although the metal is still in this video, this pickup is able to cover more ground & I wanted to showcase how that sounded here. I hope this helps you in your decision if you plan to pick some up!

It's extremely difficult to find good pickup reviews that show the pickup sounds in a variety of contexts, and this is exactly that. Good stuff.
Thnx for watching glad you found it helpful!
Nice demo of all of the tones available from these! I have the P90 version of the Brute Force in a Cabronita Baritone but this is helping me decide to put these in my Strandberg 7 Trem as well. Thanks man!
excellent video, I;m in love with these pick ups, I will but it
Great demo and tones! I have the True Grit on my strat and planning to purchase the True Grit buckers too for my LP. And i stubmble upon your vid! Like it!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Great Demo! I order the Bare Knuckle Boot Camp Brute Force Hum. BNC for my PRS Tremonti Custom Grey in the Bridge position and a DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary in the neck position, i hope that sounds great
Thanks mate, very helpful 👍
I bought a 2016 Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue months ago but only recently found out that the original ‘57 Classic pickups were replaced with cheapos. I bought a Bare Knuckle Brute Force for the bridge and it sounds so good now. I plan on installing a Bare Knuckle Old Guard for the neck position.
The boot camp range is definitely overlooked buy the rest of the pickup line, but they're solid pickups.
@@siircodyy haha! If I had another guitar, I will definitely do that. And yeah, funny backstory, it was about to have a mid-80s handwound SH-4 installed but the pickup died so I was forced to buy the Brute Force humbucker. Maaaan was I overwhelmed haha
Great demo. Found this from the BKP FB group.
Thanks! There's not much info on these out there so wanted to try to do something thorough.
Great vid' and demo my dude
Thanks, Oz! Hope you're well.
fantastic video! thank u
Hi dude thanks for the video. Did you mean coil tapped or coil split? Thanks!
Can these pickups get good shred and 80s tones? I have holydiver and true grit and those are both great for that. Been curious about this set too.
Definitely. They're be perfect for 80s hair metal or something
Hey, I have a custom 24 too and was thinking of getting the brute force.
Did you also change the pots as recommended?
I did not. This already has nice 500k pots in it so I left it alone. 500k is the standard / most common pot for humbuckers.
What you think to these pick ups are they worth the price compared to Duncan’s what music this set suited for
This particular set is more geared towards metal. Honestly I think the Bootcamp range is worth the price, however idk that I'd want to pay $300+ for a set from their regular line. I went back to using Seymour Duncans. I have a Pegasus / Jazz in this guitar now.
When you installed these did you keep the PRS pots etc? Or did you use BKP pots and wiring? Sounds awesome
I completely rewired the guitar because I didn't like the 5 way blade. I went with a Bournes 500k push / pull for coil tapping & a crl 3 way selector switch. Still has original prs 500k volume. It's wired pretty standard just one vol, one tone push pull with 3 way pickup selector.
But does it djent?
Well yea, they're Bare Knuckles
aftermath or this for thrash metal
Never tried an Aftermath
Okay, I tried an Aftermath. I like the Brute Force more
@@siircodyy interesting aftermath is very popular
@@highgainmaster7856 I've got one for sale on my reverb if you're in the US & want it.
@@siircodyy i am not in the usa
