This DuckTales game for the original Nintendo Game Boy is based on the Disney animated TV show of the same name, off of the syndicated The Disney Afternoon in the early 90's.
Theres a trick i found in the amazon level in the one underground part. There is a treasure chest that has an extra life, and if youre on your last life and you hit the thorns above the life, the game over sound will play but you still collect and use the extra life

Also another thing i noticed is after you get a game over the title screen music is slightly different
The chest spreading diamonds at the end only does so, if you collect more than 10.000.000 in total 😊
