GameSack is the unsung hero of hooking people up with game music they have missed. I can't even begin to list the number of 5/5 soundtracks I've scored out of these GameSack episodes. No other channel does it better.
I always love watching game sack videos but I will say I want to comment on this one for anybody that may be coming across this video recently. I collect all game consoles everything from the 1970s until now and one of my systems I enjoy is the pcfx. One way to get around the limitation of not being able to read the Japanese text, especially when interacting with that text can be quite important to the gameplay, is to simply take an Android tablet and put it in a tablet stand sitting in front of you as you play with the tablet pointed at the screen. Have it on and plugged into the AC power so the screen never turns off. Launch Google translate and have it pointing to the screen and every time text comes up on the screen if you glance down at the tablet you'll see that the tablet has already translated the majority of the text to make it easier to understand. That's one way around it otherwise you'll spend years and years studying Japanese lol. All in all a great video guys, and if you're new here I recommend that you watch a lot of the game sack videos because they're very informative. Thanks!
Console Crunch was the best idea you've had, if I watch anything game related it ends up in the auto-play queue as the next video because that's obviously based on watch time.
I can never tell whether I am saving the day, conquering it, or even seizing it…I have carpe an awful lot of diem in video games. Kudos on the amazing episode, and thanks for all the great content!
My favorite all time Ps2 game overlaps as my favorite game in general and made me the geek I am today. Sadly it’s not considered a gem in its price but in my heart this will always be a Gem!
Blizzare Fact: One of the characters in Chip Chap Kick is the mascot of the developer Cybertech Custom, who mainly did "stuff" on the PC-98................yeah which explains the "illegal" things in the game. And the artist only drew a few illegal things yeah I think I've said way too much information.
Aw yiss another super long Gamesack compilation. Combined with the three others this has to be all your console episodes, right? I for one would not be opposed to more compilation episodes in other categories.
I settled in to watch this video and was drinking my favorite milk tea when you said "Chester the Molester" and then I burst laughed and the milk tea exploded all over and up my nose. GG! 🤣
I remember beating suikoden III back in the day and having 0 understanding of the combat/rune system the entire playthrough. No idea how I managed to beat it
When my Duo died i was hunting for a replacement, a local shop had a PCFX and they said it wasn't backwards compatible. I often wonder if I should have just got it but none of these games really says I should have
The controller on the Amiga was the most unique and bizarre shaped controller i have yet to see provided the length is not to long it looks pretty functional.
Man, what would we do without gamesack. So many of these episodes could go on to have a second and third and fourth episode, I really hope gamesack just keeps going!!
Out of this bunch, it's too expensive to buy a Neo Geo AES or MVS so I got a Neo Geo Mini and a Neo Geo CD as inferior cheaper substitutes. Also, it's too expensive to buy an Amiga CD32 for me.
Loving these compilation videos like this. Wondered if you'd consider doing this same thing to your "Left in Japan" or "Left in the Arcade" series. I circle back and watch those as a marathon from time to time.
This was the first i ever heard of the Commodore Amiga CD32 and i really liked it and what i saw, not all the games were perfect but for the most part it was really refreshing and beautifully animated plus from what i could see very smooth running, you guys must be a store/business as you seem to have everything and that's what i like about the show lol no offense its not your humor.
27:00 There's a guy on UA-cam who would love that game. He would buy the collector's edition and then put it on the shelf next to all the rest of his games with skimperly dressed little school girls. Then he would sleep on the floor as he spends all his money on video games instead of buying a bed. You probably heard of him? Radical Reginald
Gameboy was my first handheld console. We got 4 for free back than. These were some giveaways from L'Oréal for shops when they buy enough. Same as Sony walkmans diskmans ice-cream Machines telefones ect ect. We all have these until now
Heard of the PC-FX, but I have never played it. IMO, TGFX16 is one of the best systems for arcade ports, it and the neo-geo. I bought the minis for both consoles. Completely worth it. I love SHUMPs and arcade fighters so those two bad boys are right up my alley!
If i ever see a Neo Geo Pocket Color in the wild, I'm picking it up. I borrowed one once and found it to be charming and that control stick was awesome. I'm interested in Sonic Pocket Adventure, but what are some other good platformers?
The metal slug games on the system are great. They're much more of an action platformer than a run and gun. However the real meat of the NGPC are the fighting games, they are fantastic even with two buttons.
PS2 being the most sold console? I believe it. I was in high school when it came out, and people freaked out. At the time it seemed like such a big jump for video games, AND it could play DvDs , CDs, and PS1 games. It was compact, had amazing graphics for the time, and had more game titles then anything anyone had ever seen. Even though some of those titles are literally terrible games, there were so many new ones to try!
Yeah it was so awesome when it first came out seemed like the games were all amazing but after while the crap titles and budget software started hitting and it seemed less impressive, the Dreamcast was quite impressive to
Damn dude, that Analogue is beautiful. Eight Man is a game I really live, that people seem to dislike for no reason. It's honestly really fun and looks great. Robo Army is a great beat em up. It gets a little stale toward the end, but it's still a lot of fun.
Absolute Ridiculous Retail Cost. A price adjusted to inflation today would be at 700usd. in addition it was released in 1994 in Japan alongside the premiere PlayStation and Sega Saturn.. It had NO chance..
I wish I would have known more about the Saturn when it was around. I’ve never been much into 3D games, hated the direction gaming went with the 64, so I would have been a Saturn fan.
Those don't work great when the font is pixelated and isn't very clear or when the text isn't on a plain background so they don't always work well for games like these. Plus even if it worked perfectly, who wants to hold their phone up and look through it's screen while playing a game?
If you want a battle system like in the last imperial prince, but done right; Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. Or the sequel. I want to try the other games in the series too. But they are in japanese. Aaaand no i didn't check if Summon Night has been mentioned in any of the videos here. But yea it's awesome and the style of battles really should be used more.
For a second there, in _The Last Blade_ (starting at 44:38) I thought one might face a personal attack, like a “your mom” joke, before that was clarified.
GameSack is the unsung hero of hooking people up with game music they have missed. I can't even begin to list the number of 5/5 soundtracks I've scored out of these GameSack episodes. No other channel does it better.
The good sound effects and music are from sega. If you know what it is!

i cant belive these videos are 9 years old... where did time go?! thank you so much for doing this awesome show joe!
I love the exaggerated click sound you add to your videos whenever you plug something in or attach a peripheral. That sound is oddly satisfying.
ophi
@Chad Mawn I think it's the mag sound for some weapons in Counter Strike if I'm correct
or the BOOM sound when they put a cartridge in
@Brian Babin z
“Man I feel like Chester The Molester just turning on the power”...... I cried 😂.
Same. I haven't heard anyone say that in freaking YEARS. That took me waaaay back.
The "no eyes" is an actual intended effect of the art style. (10:42)
Yep that usually means it's supposed to be a self-insert character
Console Crunch was the best idea you've had, if I watch anything game related it ends up in the auto-play queue as the next video because that's obviously based on watch time.
Every time I fall asleep watching UA-cam I wake up to these Game Sack Crunch videos or AVGN full seasons lol.
These Sack Crunch videos are perfect for me to have playing while working on projects in my game room. Thanks for posting

Even though I've seen all these, i didn't skip the intro. Tbh, idk if I've ever skipped your intro... you 🎸 Joe!
I miss the bits where Joe says, “oh HI Dave!” There’s something really great about his delivery that makes me laugh every time
@Boco Corwin that's right Boco!
@Boco Corwin "no man, I AM DAVE!"
That was refreshing to hear. I'm going thru a phase of downsizing the collection myself and letting things go

Cant wait for my wii u episode, where they talk about wii u games. I use mine as a vc almost exclusively. I do play Smash on it though
