    I actually like the zero dollar ending the best. Even without all his money, Scrooge still admits (or at least implies) that as long as he has his nephews he's the richest duck in the world. I know it's the same for all the endings, but it carries more meaning with this particular ending.

    I can't help but chuckle at the whole tombstone cross censoring because here in Denmark, the names of Scrooge's nephews happens to be "Rip, Rap & Rup" so when I played this game as a kid that didn't speak any English, all I could think of was that Huey must have been killed and these were his tombstones xD
    So much for toning down the grim content xD

    Something I really love about the remaster is not only it completely changes the boss fights making them more challenging, but it also adds tons of cutscenes which tell us all about the storyline. It gives a reason to both 35:15 and 37:45 which we wouldn't have known without it. So, pretty cool!

    One of my favorite games from my childhood! Easy by NES standards, but still great fun. After finding the best ending after multiple playthroughs, I kept replaying it to see if there was yet another ending beyond the pile of gold at the end when I was a kid. Capcom knew what they were doing with that, they knew how to keep me hooked on it. What I didn't know was that I had to go the opposite direction to try and finish the game with $0. I didn't even know about buying health so I never would've thought to try and get it down to $0.

    Blathering Blatherskite that was a good video, to be honest I never knew there were different endings based on money either, eventually just stopped collecting money and tried to get through the levels. What a neat little gimmick for this unique little game I'm learning many years later

      In the Nintendo Power magazine for this game it mentioned that there were 3 endings, but as a kid I just assumed they meant the slight differences when you finish on the three different difficulties. I'd have never guessed a Zero money ending was even possible!

While I played the original Dragon Warrior (Quest), Final Fantasy, Zelda, Faxanadu, Crystalis, Castlevania, etc...he played the movie/cartoon games. He showed me the tricks of these fun games, especially Duck Tales. Thank you for the memories, Brad!

    37:40. Dracula Duck didn't steal the treasures from you. As you see at the end, that was a group effort from Glomgold and Magica. DD was a trap conjured by Magica.

    • @UCanBeatVideoGames
      @UCanBeatVideoGames  3 роки тому

      Oh, so Magica made Dracula? That kinda makes sense!

    • @cammy85
      @cammy85 3 роки тому

      @@UCanBeatVideoGames It didn't make sense to me until seeing the Ducktales Remastered game. But here, at least it makes sense since she's suddenly with Glomgold at the end of the game. On another note; the final level isn't in Transylvania again, but at Magica's hideout on Mt. Vesuvius and Glomgold and Scrooge have to team up to stop her and then it's revealed they were worling together the whole time.
      She didn't "make" him. She just summoned him or resurrected. Like I said, Ducktales Remastered does a better job.

    I've seen a couple of playthroughs of Ducktales on UA-cam and nobody ever goes into the secret room in the Himalayas that you can get into at around 16:29 in this video. If you pogo up through the gap in the ceiling there and go as far left as you can and then jump and press up to climb the rope, there's a room with some extra diamonds and a 1up. You can just barely see the rope above the ceiling at 16:36.

    I realize you have a lot of subs, but you need more. I love the commentary you give, very informative, and the history of the game at the start of the video. Maybe I'm just showing my age, but I've played tons of PS4 games, but I still love the NES, SNES, N64, and PS1 and 2 games better. With emulators you'd think more people around my age (born in 85) would be playing what they grew up with like I do, or kids going back playing what there parents grew up on. When I'm needing to figure out something I've forgotten or something I never beat growing up I always go to your channel first to see if you've got a video for it. My 2 favorite things growing up was pro wrestling and TMNT, but I still can't beat the first NES game. Watching your video I can get to the final stage, but those flying guys always get me. Lol I've got there with all 4 turtles with each having scrolls and still can't beat it. The van stage I just keep going in the building with the scrolls. But I couldn't get past that level let alone even make it to Shredder without your video. I have beat this, but never got over the 10 million mark. Great channel. Have you thought about adding like some videos for N64? I realize it would take longer, but I would love to see you do Mario 64. By the way Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays since I don't know when or if you'll see this.

I tried to collect as many as I could. By luck, I timed it narrowly enough to beat Magica with 17 seconds left. Just enough time to use your times up trick. My Transylvania end score was 1,947,000! At about 33:20 you can pogostick those octopus and see if they drop diamonds, then climb up the rope and pogo back down to immediately pogo jump them again. It is another way to exceed 10m coins, but you may have to let your time run out a few time.

    If you are using an emulator to play the game, the countdown timer trick does work. I made a save state at 3 seconds and kept on trying, it can be done, but U Can Beat Video Games is right on the money, you have to practice it. Using the save state was key to my success. Cheers!

    That “bowled” in the Himalaya stage is actually a character from season 1 episode 53 of the cartoon. They were the creatures that made earthquakes happen under Duckburg. If you look real close I believe you can make out it’s features.

    You missed the secret cash of treasures in the Himalayas, it's above the hockey skaters. You go up into the ceiling and you'll see a small dot that's a rope

      Everybody keeps telling me about this missing treasure in the Himalayas, but you're the first one that can actually tell me the location. If it exists, it's definitely not on the map. I'll have to jump back in to the game and check out that spot. Maybe the developers added it late - the maps definitely seem to be based on an early build.

    I want to know if any kid ever figured out how to get the best ending or the worst ending or if they ever happened to stumble across them by complete accident... both of those endings seem insanely obscure to get without some sort of guide. I beat this game many times as a kid but i only ever got the regular ending with scrooge celebrating in front of the best of fold

    Those arent the nephews at the mine cart, those are miners, i think they explain it in remastered, also you missed a secret at the Himalayas theres a hidden tunnel above the hockey players that takes you to a hidden room.

    • @UCanBeatVideoGames
      @UCanBeatVideoGames  3 роки тому +1

      I finally found that hidden treasure room - a couple people told me it existed, but none of them could tell me where it was. Your tip really helped. You have to go up on the room to right of the hockey player area, near the spiders, walk along the ceiling then there's a rope to climb up. There's a 1-Up in there, pretty sweet!
      They must have added that room late into development because its not on the map! I'm fairly sure the maps are based on an early build that they sent out to video game journalists, but I'm surprised they'd add an entire room so late in development.
