It’s too bad that Sony has abandoned so many of their old IPs. There’s a lot of really good games that if handled correctly could make a comeback.
I hope that at some point they port over a bunch of their older games to PS4/5 and PC with various quality of life improvements. It would be awesome if we got MCC styled remastered collections of their older games. Or full on Dead Space/Resident Evil style remakes that have various improvements to the story/lore and gameplay, while staying mostly faithful. I’ve wanted to play their “Halo Killers” (we all know the true Halo Killer was Halo under 343) for a while. Resistance and Killzone both have interesting settings and look fun.
Something I’d LOVE to see, but know sadly will not happen is rts and Xcom style games set in Killzone and Resistance. I’m sure if handled correctly we could get some really good games. Gears Tactics did a really good job of translating Gears of War into an Xcom type game (it’s a blast to play, but simply is not worth buying at full price. There’s not enough content and it isn’t really replayable since it’s a linear campaign. There’s sadly no multiplayer, a map/level editor, or mod support. Those things would keep the game alive). Halo Wars was a lot of fun, but if you’re not a big Halo fan or fairly new to rts games there isn’t much for you. In fact the game is shackled by the controller, which prevents the game from having the level of control/depth you’d see in a proper rts. Too bad we’ll NEVER see a remake that combines the best elements of both, and uses a keyboard and mouse as the controller since that’s the ONLY way you can have a fully fleshed out rts. Xcom style games work well on controllers.

Bring back Killzone & Resistance with the grit & love they both had during the ps3 but the benefits of the ps5 (such as FoV sliders, high FPS) then I'd be alot happier with gaming.
To me, a remaster of the trilogy is the more likely to come, especially with 2024 being the 20th anniversary of Killzone. However, seeing what Sony did with Sly Cooper’s 20th anniversary where all they did was put the original trilogy + thieves in time onto the premium streaming service, it’s pretty questionable, but I have faith in Killzone making a comeback of sorts.
Shadowfall had great multiplayer
I personally prefer linear games. I think there's more attention to detail, and I feel more connected to them as they seem more intimately designed.
Yes. Its comming back in at least one Form I know of, But prob not in the way people think and Not On PS first And from a fan that played the original KZ2 & KZ3 back in the day on the PS sharpshooter ; )

The real problem with shadowfall wasn't the gun mechanics. It was the futuristic setting that ruined it. The heavy metal brutal gritty shit of KZ2 was where they should have focused. The maps like pyhrus and corinth were brilliant and the guns were mean af. It would still be a series if the management actually understood the underlying appeal of the game/series. But no, they had to try and turn it into cod. Idiots
Shadowfall is garbage. Who tf wants to play stealth BS.
Good video, Killzone has always had the potential to be something special but gets rushed and used as a tech demo, its a shame.

I think would be great a remake where they expand the lore, not limiting the conflict on Vekta-Helghast, but have an overpowered helghan faction that could actually try to subvert the order of the entire humanity, by trying to defeat not only Vekta but also other system like Earth itself, having their non helghast allies, some kind of star wars but not that huge, where the Helghast get near to winning but then for some reasons lose, just some kind of interplanetary ww2 style war but in space. Would be cool see an invasion of the Earth from the Helghasts. And of course they should try to do something where you can see both the prespective and let you play half of the campaign with Helghast or whatever, these are conjecture.
Seeing the current status of modern gaming industry btw, lazyness, mere money grabbing games, these are just dreams, would fit perfectly for a book tho. Just watch how they push for Horizon, an overrated game. I mean their Killzone game is 20 years anniversary and they just forgot about it. The reason of their fault isn't because people don't like killzone anymore, but because Shadow Fall was boring as F and full of plot holes (also k3, but much less), but they shouldn't think that because Shadow Fall failed they should forgot the series.

I would love to see a Killzone 1 PS2 Remake with an addition to play cooperatively with all 4 characters and a redone multiplayer with new elements such as the ranking system,challenges and so on,but Sony would rather focus on live service garbage like Concord and Fairgames,both atrocities which will all flop definetly...I just hate modern Sony and their obsession with live service garbage and trash interactive movie games
Where is Killzone? The team that makes those games are making Horizon games, that's what.
Where are these "great stories" at in the Horizon games? I played them both and their stories are as mid as it gets.
I think I'm alright, I could do without more Killzone. There's a robust selection of shooters available and I'd rather see the investment elsewhere, personally.
