The only debate Trump has ever won has been against a Biden that clearly had something wrong with him. He has lost against Hillary 2 times, against Biden both times last time around. So he will lose to kamala too.

We have to give Alex Castellanos credit for longevity. He has been around a very long time. I think some Republicans may still value his insights but many independents and Democrats see him as deeply partisan and divisive despite a superficially avuncular style.

This is the most substantive talk on the new and ever evolving state of this election that I’ve heard. Everyone who hasn’t come across it will have suffered a grave disservice.
Alex is very smart, when reading between the medias lines.

The thought of Harris in discussion with Putin should be enough to convince anyone that she is not right for what is happening around the world right now. The things she wants for America are troubling but she's not a good diplomat. We've all seen how she described the Russian invasion of Ukraine: Russia is...a big country. Ukraine is a small country.

It's very unclear what Kamala really stands for (if anything). She supported some very hard-line conservative policies as a prosecutor. And then some radically progressive policies as VP.
I think the prosecutor stuff is well in the past. She's about politics now, that's not me bashing her - we definitely don't need that petty crap - but from paying close attention I think the more left of center things are more important now.
I don't think any dem stars wish to run in 24 and in that way , I see Harris as a sacrificial lamb

Best analysis I’ve heard yet. Harris really isn’t a “ 35:50liberal” in any way that word has meant something in American politics in the past. Her Democratic Party is as new as Trump’s Republican Party, where the word “conservative” as Barry Goldwater would have understood it is also gone. Harris is a Marxist-that’s her ideological stopping point, though she’s a weird hybrid with all the identity politics. Trump isn’t as exotic a creature, though you have to go back to Old Hickory for his antecedents.

Nice to hear someone learned and talking American politics, with insight on both sides without being crazy partizan. More of this kind of dialogue is what is desparately needed. Harris though was a bad choice for the Dems. She is basically Hilary part 2. The US people really do not like Hilary, and it was obvious she would not beat Trump, Harris is even more unpopular, with ridiculously poor approval as VP. You have to wonder what the Dems are thinking about, this is the same mistake twice. Should've been Bernie Sanders that time, and this time Newsome or the Astronaught would seem like better candidates if they actually want to win.
Thankfully I can speed this up before falling asleep.

Im not American, but one thing drew my attention to Harris. She has said, i believe numerous times, that she can 'imagine what can be, and be unburdoned by what has been'. This sentiment on the face of it sounds weird and twisted. But interestingly this is the self same sentiment that the seriel killer Ted Bundy would use when addressing groups of people, whilst aspiring to enter politics at the level of Congress.
It definitely sounds like unfettered progress at the expense of traditions, religion, the American constitution, the independence of the judiciary and so forth. I believe she is advocating for full blown communism and total state control. And she may well be throwing those incoherent words out as a signal of the party's intentions to those of the same mindset.

The American electoral system has been brought into disrepute in the form of the last Presidential election - maybe you were underground at the time? Caving? The question that needed to be posed was whether or not Trump is a threat to democracy. And he forgets just how serious Kamala was when questioning Kavanagh.
Kamala Harrris is and has always been a serious person in her career. She made Brett Kavanaugh cry during his hearing and watch her interrogation of Bill Barr. She knows what she is doing. You old men need to view women with respect.
Do you want the borders to remain wide open? Or do you not recognize just what a disaster this has so far been and what a compounding disaster this will continue to be if left unchecked? Why don’t women let go of this weird hang up about being sufficiently respected and actually look at the big picture? And Harris has simply not been impressive throughout her career. There are plenty of impressive women that we’d all be perfectly happy to acknowledge; she’s not one of them. She’s as radical as her base, however, and we can’t afford that, we can’t survive that.
