    Excellent video! Two suggestions - take out the top derby cover screw last and install it first. That way the cover and, if you have the cardboard gasket used with aftermarket covers, can hang on the top screw while you do the other screws. The other thing - one click on the torque wrench. Re-tightening so it clicks again changes the torque value. I know that's not critical here, but in other applications it's important. Anyway, your presentation is great!

    And to think that this is what I will be doing once my 21 RGS arrives, after my first oil change I will miss my Victory Magnum. LOL, all good I guess it gives me some alone time from the family while I change the fluids in my bike. Gone are the days of a simple oil change.

    I just finished this job today 6.24.22 on my 2021 Tri Glide Ultra. As for the oil filter making a mess, it did not. On the Trike and with my huge hands, I had to use the filter wrench removing and installing the filter. When I got the filter off, very little oil ran down the front of the bike. I used the great brake cleaner to instantly clean it up. Easy job. Brake cleaner is mostly lighter fluid. Evaporates quick and gets all the grime off.

    I enjoy every content you put out. I also have a 2020 Road Glide Special. I watched your 3 hole oil change. I am wondering what ratchet you are using. I noticed once you loosen the bolt you use the ratchet handle to finish removing the bolt. This makes removing a bolt in tight places much easier.

      @@RAIDERWORLD Hey guys - It is my understanding that acids build up in engine oil, mostly from the gasses in blow by - It is these acids that deteriorate seals - It is therefore better to change the oil before storing to have fresh, non-acidic oil to keep the engine's internals fresh as well - Hope this helps

    Man I changed out the tranny fluid today. Drained and refilled with 28 oz. Can’t see a reading on the dipstick. My manual calls for it and your explanation the same. Maybe I’ll run it real hot first tomorrow if that makes a difference?

    just curious why no Teflon tape or blue lock tight on the drain plugs? The transmission gear oil looked thin... I did AMSOL on my last change on all three holes. From what I have been researching it seems that 80/140 gear oil cuts down on clunky shifting and makes shifting smoother. Your thoughts? Very good video

    • @RAIDERWORLD
      @RAIDERWORLD  2 роки тому

      Thank You for Watching. As long as these plugs are torqued down right, they should be fine. I’ve never had an issue. I personally have always used redline, so it’s always my go-to. This is my first time using it on a Milwaukee 8, and so far no issues.

      lesson learned. When removing the oil drain plug keep the dipstick screwed IN till you want to let it breathe. I took mine out totally and when the drain plug came out the oil was puking big time and my Harley oil collection pan started to overflow since I had old oil still in it. Next time I'll make sure my collection pan is empty and I'll monitor the flow as I crack the dipstick to let it breathe a little more. Just a lesson learned here. Thanks for the vids and for responding to the comments, a lot of you tubers don't even respond...you get an A+ ...
