Well played Leah, and also a well played phil. It's a really good performance of a really good play.
Jot _1 it is an incredible performance from the whole cast but Leah and Phill are so well developed. They are probably 2 of the hardest characters in the whole production to perform as.
john Tate didn't come across scary enough

@@sophiejones1596 yeah, that seems to be a recurring theme with most dna videos I've seen.
Honestly other than maybe Leah and Phil this is nowhere near the naturalistic play with the realism it should have, not bad acting just bad directing and not being able to capture the realism it should have
This is great, i'm about to start the rehearsals for this show, i'm playing Leah, and this was really helpful on how to play certain parts I wasn't to sure about. :)

I just watched a Swedish version of this play, in our version of Connections. It was really nice comparing them. Good job on this everyone!
THE 1ST SCENE WASN'T CONVINCING AT ALL. THE INCORRECT TONE OF THE CHARACTERS WAS JUST SO OFF-PUTTING

really added a layer to it! studying an extract for GCSE and was having trouble with leah (completely open to any advice from the leah in this, she was bloody brilliant!) not her lines, the daydream-y, not finishing sentences lines were surprisingly easy for me to get, but the tone of voice and movements and trying to tone up her humor when it was necessary.
anyway, an amazing performance i'd say. was recommended by a peer to help and really did.

I’m doing two of Leah’s monologues for my component three GCSE exam in March so I’m trying do some research and watching the play.
I did this play with my acting class and I love it! I was Rachel
I don’t see why people are dissing the person play John/Jo Tate. She is quite scary and is taking in an no violent kind of way. And more in her facial expressions show her feelings of the character.
Part of the problem is the play itself I feel many of the characters are underdeveloped
This was a really good performance and helpful because I’m doing a monologue of Leah for my LAMDA exam
not a bad performance. I am engaged in a Russian theater group and we are staging this play. It is very interesting to see how the characters of this play are seen in the countries where this play was created. Thanks for the video, good actors, good acting.

yay im playing phil and im bad at remembering lines
he has like none but that scene when hes telling everyone what to do keeps getting me
i only took drama because i like making plays not acting in them
if anyone has any tips that would honestly be so helpful
Hey idk if you still need help but it easier to remember music so what I try to do is make my lines a song to memorise or I memorise the end of each sentence of the person before me ( you don’t need to do this if you know where you come in) the same for myself then I make up a sentence that make sense with the end of my line and also the story line. You don’t have to remember your line just improvise but do it carefully because if you say the wrong thing you can confuse the next person ( which is why I memorise the end of my line so they still know when to come in) or change the whole plot. Hope that make sense, sorry if this doesn’t help
Just google ways as well, it should have some ways for you.

I lost my script and I'm using this to learn my lines
they aren't always delivered accurately, though. I've noticed a few times where lines weren't read or were completely different to the script. (There's also a pdf of the script online and it'd probably be easier to print that)

ok but which one is john tate im so confused
John Tate was changed to Johanne Tate. The truth is the actor playing Phil was meant to play John Tate and my friend was to play Phil, however, my friend couldn't continue due to personal reasons and so the actor playing John was recast to Phil and the crew got the female actor in last minute to fill John's part and changed it to a girl. Hope that makes sense.

The actor for Leah reminds me so much of Stacey from Gavin and Stacey haha
haha. Well being Welsh helped a lot. I decided to use my accent for the role because the Welsh accent is quite comical. I do remind people a lot of Stacey and decided to put a bit of that into this character. I hope you enjoyed watching this. I do miss playing Leah and didn't expect to get so many positive comments from this.
