On what settings was your f.f on ya 2nd clip. And was you stationary? Because on being stationary i know nothing on how to setup on having best fish picking from my sonar. Btw same like yours. Thanks for helping
Sorry for delay comments don't always show. If your in shallow waters use a low frequency, it gives a wider angle. You see more fish 🐟

Hello, I got the same model fish finder, and by the way never used a fish finder before....anywho, was wondering which way the transducer should be pointed ...will be put on a kayak ...thin end towards the front? Thanks for your time
On a boat the bracket fixes to the back of the boat so I would presume the thin end would be pointing backwards

Sorry don't have a video. If I were you I would get the vivid 5 cv. The screen is wider gives you better visual. Check out the 5cv I think it takes SD card for charts cause the 4cv does not have this.
@@stevesshowreel. Steve I just bought the striker vivid 4cv. I think it will fulfill my needs. I wanted to keep the price down. Did you mount your transducer inside the hull? I'm thinking about making something that clips the tranducer into my transum boarding ladder and I'll place it when using the fish finder. I really don't want to mount anything to the hull.
@Jyock OK. You got options, through the Hull, fix to back of boat or on a rod below sea level. The transducer must be in the water or you will fry it. On mine I fitted a 2pin plug and just plug it into a 12v fused socket so I can unplug it when not using it. They drain a lot of power
@@stevesshowreel. I thought one option was mounting the tranducer to the inside of the hull. Similar to my depth finder in my boat now. I was wondering if that was what you did and how was the clarity. If not being in the water fry's the tranducer guess that's not an option.
@Jyock I don't think that will work. And it has to be in the water or it will burn out. They get hot 🔥. Look it up. Garmon transducer G20
Can the alarm volume be increased?

The fish have to swim under your beam from you transducer to mark up. lower frequency have a wider beam. take a look at this video ua-cam.com/video/KqBoHv3sZts/v-deo.html
