  • If you think you have trouble getting rid of snow, just imagine what the Buffalo Airport has to deal with.
This past January 31, 52.1 inches of snow fell at the National Weather Service Office in Buffalo at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. This ranks as the seventh-snowiest on record for the month, with records dating back to the late 1800s.
The snowfall for the season at the end of January was 62.8 inches, which was above average.
Weather records for the city of Buffalo are observed at the National Weather Service Office in Buffalo at the Buffalo Airport.

Feel like it would be cheaper over the long run to have a heated tarmac

It takes 20 watts per square foot. Way too much energy.

Total waste of money🙄 they could have just ordered a few Chinese takeout combination platters and threw it in the snow pile🤷.
Within 5 minutes that pile of snow will turn to water, as long as the tin foil take-out tray didn't melt through the asphalt to the core of the earth 🤷.
