  • Aomori Airport has gone to the EXTREME when it comes to snow removal. They're so good at it that this airport has NEVER HAD A SNOW CANCELATION. Not once despite having the most snow on Japan's main island.
    What's the secret? Meet WHITE IMPLUSE, a snow removal crew that has become quite famous in Japan. During the year, most of the team is working on farms, but when the winter season hits and Aomori's snow comes down hard, the they spring into action like superheroes.
    This is also an episode on TEAM WORK in Japan and the importance at perfecting one's job to the very smallest detail. Everything is essential and it's on full display here.
    THANK YOU!

    I am Japanese. Thank you for introducing Japan by making lots of such videos. Since Japanese is a minor language when viewed worldwide, I hope that many people in the world can understand Japanese culture and customs in English. If you like it as a result of seeing this video, please come to Japan. It will certainly be memorable. Thank you for reading! :D

      Hi, Miyagi! Thank you for the wonderful message. The English is very good; no mistakes! I am an American and I love your incredibly beautiful, humble and welcoming culture. I am awe of how accommodating the Japanese people are and how beautiful your country is.
      It is words like yours from people like you that make me want to visit your wonderful country. I hope to have the opportunity to do so at some point. In the meantime, "Arigato" and "Aiwokomete" (I, too, used Google).❤❤❤

    The folks who clear the snow from the airport runways, taxiways, and aprons perform a service that few of us notice. Those of us who live in cold, snowy climates sround the world often take their efforts for granted. They need to work whenever nature dumps snow on an airport. They can be required to work on special family occasions, holidays, and even on days when they just do not feel like going to work. As the supervisor in this video points out, lives can be at stake here. And they do their duty for thise of us, passengers and crews who fly. Thank you. ご助力ありがとうございます

      The do it for the pay, but the Japanese do it for the "honor" and pride. It's taught to them from basic schools. However even the schools are too much for some people who brain melts from the exams and they become shut-ins. I'd love to go to Japan asap :/

    • @John77Doe
      @John77Doe 7 років тому +4

      Susie English The Japanese have a huge cash surplus from selling tiny cars and electronics world wide. So Japan can afford the expenditure. The U.K. Has been in economic decline since the end of World War II. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑

    • @jacobblanton5179
      @jacobblanton5179 7 років тому +13

      Susie English There are several reasons, but the simplest is exemplified within the first 3 minutes: "Aomori has never had a delayed flight due to snow"
      The kind of dedication required for this is incredible, and the respect for this history reinforces the dedication to maintaining it. You will find Japan is full of stuff like this.

      In Finland we have lots of snow near the airport so we have the worlds best equipment to handle snow

    • @XCerykX
      @XCerykX 7 років тому +11

      As DasFresh said, not enough snow to make it worth investing in the equipment to deal with it. Japan has the 3 snowiest cities on the planet. And Aomori is number one. Absolutely no other city on earth comes even remotely close to the 312 inches of annual snow fall they receive. They don't have a choice, especially since they get a lot of tourism from the fact that they are the snowiest city on earth.
      There's also the fact that Japan is a collectivist society and people are more likely to feel a social duty to keep the sidewalks clean and safe for everyone.
