They were pretty easy to make and fun to embellish. Now I can use them to make things like belly bands in journals.
Loved your snippet roll feeling so inspired. My husband passed away in January, and I have the task of sorting out his clothes. I wanted to make a memory book with photos and poems people have written for him. I thought if I used some of his shirts to make a snippet roll it would be lovely to add to the memory book. Thank you so much
Oh Anna. I am really sorry to hear about your husband. What a lovely way to keep some of his treasures with you always. Sending you big hugs from Sydney
Sarah, this is a really sweet snippet roll! You did a beautiful job and I really love the little bits n bobs that you've added!
Hello, Sarah...your camera is too close to the table...love your work...
This is fabulous Sas! Now I want to make one!
Thanks Rach. Try Nik's tutorial as it works well.
I will😄
Really adorable, Sarah. Tfs! xo
Thats lovely sarah its handy to have when making journals to cut a strip off and have it handy,I make journalsquilts etc, sharon,
I'm doing my first ever snippet toll thrilled I came across your utube thankyou ❤
Just beautiful Sarah, will definitely be having a go at this (when I can get my craft mojo back...lol) xo
Go for it Diane. It might help with your mojo.
beautiful x im very new to embroidery and have just started my very first snippet roll x
Love the wide array of embellies you used. Buttons are always some of my favorites. You could make the base roll and then embellish it as needed with colors and such to match your current project.
I absolutely adore your snippet roll! The most beautiful I have ever seen! You are so creative Sarah! If you would sell these, I would purchase one in a heartbeat! xo Deb
Thanks So much Deb. If I get some more done, I will let you know.
I like the one you cut into smaller pieces. not overdone.
Love the snippet roll also that it was machine sewn
Love it all keep doing what you wanna do.
Absolutely beautiful 💝💝💝
Very pretty snippet rolls Sarah.
Great video. Lovely snippet rolls. Currently working on a couple. Thank you for the inspiration 💕
Thanks so much 😁
Just now saw this fabulous video, Sarah! What an inspiration you are!! 🥰❤️
Wow! That’s so pretty!
Love your video. I watch your sister Roxanne all the time. She posted your ideas for the snippet. So glad I found your channel. Love both of your work. :)
Thanks so much Joy for your kind comments. xx
You amaze me with your creative talent.....bravo.........Myra L.
Thanks Myra 😁
Sarah this is beautiful!! Hopefully I'll get over my fear of the sewing machine (caught finger as little girl; Grandma sewing). Is hand sewing as good as machine sewing?
I love the look of hand sewing the best but it's much slower. For these, I tend to combine both.
Beautiful. You are very talented. Very artistic like Rachel. Such a lot of fun you two. Such a nice compact record of fabrics and embellishments etc and textural. Perfect.
Thanks very much Lisa for your kind comments.
Wow your sister was right! Your snippets are beautifl! Thanks for sharing! Love them.
Thanks very much ❤️
Just lovely! 😍😍😍
So gorgeous and perfectly made. Are you selling them? Thank you for sharing. PS. I love the music
Tanks very much. I haven't though about selling them but possibly in the future.
This is so beautiful! New subscriber here...from your sisters channel. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Paula and welcome.
Very beautiful and creative! Love the music you added as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Melodie- it took me a while to some some music that I was allowed to use and didn't mind!
Apologies my husband is logged on....Love it. I love sewing and the yo yo's as well. Love Mariana x
Thanks so much Mariana :)
lovely snippet rolls Sarah....I can tell from your voice you are Rachel's sister...I have 4 sisters & everyone says we sound alike tho I can't hear it myself:)
Me too. I don't think we sound much alike but lots of people keep saying that!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful (maybe happy, perky would be better words) snippet roll. I like your use of buttons, rickrack, yo-yos and embroidery to embellish the base.
Thanks Kathleen . Yes they are a bit happy and perky haha :)
Just lovely . Credit to you . I love doing these and embellishing whilst watching a movie . Might go make some more now . Xxxxx
Thanks Patricia. I think they might be a bot addictive. I already have ideas for more.
Very beautiful. Really talented family; you need to do more videos. Thank you.
Thanks Maria, Yes Rachel keeps telling me that too- haha.
Absolutely gorgeous! Very talented. The embellishments are so beautiful. Ive seen many of these but yours tops them all. Can you come to Virginia and teach me to sew? I look forward to watching and learning from future videos!
Hi Karen- sure I would love to come to Virginia haha. It's actually not too hard- you should try it. I only used basic machine sewing and simple hand stitches.
You need to speak to Rachel -- she mentioned how pretty your snippet rolls were -- but they are fabulous !!! I just love them -- she did, too. I was just kidding. I would have never thought to cut out bunnies from fabric and sew onto a snippet roll. So clever you girls are. BTW, I bought your archive papers awhile back, on advice of your sis, and I just love them and use them a lot !! Be well -- thank you for sharing -- Patricia
Thanks so much Patricia. I am really glad that you like them. Also thanks for getting some of my papers and I am really happy to hear that you love them. XXX
Wow that is absolutely amazing and one of the most beautiful snippet rolls I've ever seen. It feels like a really good challenge to me. Not sure when I will get it making one because I'm also going to do you and Roxy's slow Stitch book project
Thanks Judie- you can do it anytime. :)
Love your snippet rolls Sara that looks like great fun 💕🥰Daphne in Ballina NSW
Thanks so much Daphne!! I need to make some more. :)
This is gorgeous, and I'm inspired to make some, but then what do I put them on? I don't use belly bands... and basically anything over 8 inches long, I don't know what i would do with! I'm trying not to make things just because i like them. Thats how i ended up with drawers full of tags, handmade cards, that ultimately went into the trash when i had to make space for stuff :(
This is the first time that I have made them but I have seen people use them as pockets, tuck spaces, on covers, belly bands and just to embellish a page. Have a search of YT videos and you should get some good ideas. 🙂
Just lovely your work is mesmerizing for real thank you for sharing this with me and God bless you
Thanks so much 🤗💕
Sarah you and Rachael are getting me back into sewing. Just when I thought I had my junk journal supplies organized, it looks like I might be on my way to another new adventure with fabric, buttons, lace, etc. Thank you for keeping my creative spirit alive and well. You both inspire me
Thanks so much 😊 you sound like me…. I am always finding new crafts to try
Thanks for making this look so inviting!! Blessings to you from Betty in Ohio.

Beautifully done Sarah, your work is lovely very neat .
Thanks Rhonda. It's funny as I think I get too neat sometimes. I like to be a bit more Wabi Sabi- haha.
Sarah this is so pretty and neatly sewn. Meticulous work
Thanks very much :)
I realize you made this 4 years ago but this is my first view and WOW! Your rolls are absolutely beautiful! I haven't tried Nik's method yet but am really excited to go try it with different fabrics like yours! LOVE IT!

Your snippet rolls are beautiful Sarah.
Thank you 😄
I’m going to try this. I have to much of everything. Love you rolls❤ Thank you for sharing ❤
Just FYI, 3 meters is just a little over 3 yards
👍 thanks
Very Beautiful, my favorite so far!
Thanks so much Paula! 😊
Do you back your snippet rolls?
I didn’t with these ones but I will with the one I am currently working on
Oh my! So lovely, I had to watch it again! I did something similar as borders on my quilts. It's called "piano keys". Except it was about 6 inches wide. I added laces and ribbon but no buttons. I'll have to make another one with journals in mind! You put so much love into yours, and I love it! ❤️ TFS 🤗
Sorry I don't know what a yo-yo is. What is that?
It’s also known as a Suffolk Puff- they are round circles of fabric and were originally used to make quilts
Sarah that is a work of art, just beautiful!
Thank you so much Gay for your kind words xx
I enjoyed this video.I have never made a snippet roll. This video gave me a nudge to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration.Just subscribed.😊
Welcome and I hope that you make one. 😊
@@roxycreationsbysarah Thank you.🙏💜
Beautiful I need to try this
Thank Robin. You should give it a go.
Hi Sarah! Your snippet rolls are so colorful and lovely. I love how everything is mixed. I like how you sewed your buttons on too. I just started slow stitching. And I'm loving it. I watched your sister Rachel's video making a lace snippet roll. I've made one along with her. I'm not done embellishing it yet. I made mine pretty much all cream/white and a touch of beige. I've added buttons and clear seed beads. My next snippet roll will be like yours, well not exactly like yours. I do have a lot of fabrics, lace's and buttons. I'm excited to start making it. Thanks for sharing. I hope you'll be making more videos Sarah. Have a nice Monday. Liz K.
Thanks very much Liz. It's great to see how people put them together in their own style. Rach and I like each others style but we have our own spin on things. It's hard to know when to stop embellishing as you could just keep going and going!
@@roxycreationsbysarah Yup, it's hard to stop adding more lace, tiny flowers and so on . That's why I'm not quite finished with my mine yet. I could cut off a piece and add it to a page or tag as it is right now. We'll see :-)
That’s so pretty Sarah...🌷
Thanks so much Diane :)
Gorgeous! My favourite of all ones I've seen. Love that you've used all fabrics and sewn everything.
Beautiful trim! Love it.
Thanks very much Jeanne xxx

🙏😁💕
These are so prettty
Thanks very much Lori. :)
Wow, so pretty!!!
Thanks very much Deb xx
How do you use those?
You can use them as tuck spaces or belly bands in a junk journal as well as use bits to decorate the cover of a journal.
Rechel sending me, lol. She's right that your snippet roll is the most beautiful and I agreed. They are so beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much. Rach needs to make some more too.
These are absolutely fabulous!!❤
WOW!!! So glad I watched Rachel's video where she shared how beautiful your snippet roll was. It is absolutely awesome!!!! So glad she shared your channel, I have become a new admirer!!!!

Thanks so much Ardella. XX
I have yet to try this. I love snippets, and yours is so pretty!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love the clusters of buttons and hand stitching.
Thanks so much :)
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful!!.....great for Easter/Spring season👍😊❤️
🙏💕
Absolutely gorgeous! You do beautiful work! How will you use it? I'm afraid if it were mine, it would live on a spool untouched! 😉👍❤
Thanks Rhonda. At the moment it's on the spool but you could use it for belly bands, tuck spaces, pockets, little snippets or even put bits on a fabric journal cover. I haven't done them before so will have to do some experimenting.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love all the different embellishments! ❤️
Thanks very much Donna.
Wow. That is sooo.. beautiful! Absolutely stunning. Well done you...
Thanks 😃
BEAUTIFUL!! Best one I've seen. Coming from a sewing background, this is how I would want mine to look! TFS
Ahh thanks so much Leslie!
Stunning snippet roll. Thanks for sharing it. I am always on the lookout for yo-yos. I have fond memories of my grandmothers and great grandmothers making them. 😊😊😘😘
Don't you just wish that you had all your grandma's craft stuff. Such happy memories of shifting through her old button tin like it was a lolly jar!
