Thank you for your ideas. I am going to do one similar in size to Rachel’s as I have found the bigger the appliqué the easier the stitching. This project is going to be so much fun. ❤❤❤
After watching the video I’ve adjusted my background pieces from the normal 1/3 to 2/3 split closer to the 50/50 suggested by Sarah. Gives me a lot more table to play with.
I want to do about the same size as you. But I have not been able to find one at an affordable price. I am going to see what the prompt is. But I think I can start without the canvas on a backing muslin fabric. And when the canvas goes on sale I will get one. I am strongly considering buying a 24 x 30 inch piece of cheap art I saw at my local target discount store. And covering up the picture with gesso. I have a large tub of white gesso. The photograph style picture is marked down to 15.00. I cannot find an empty one for under 70.00 at my local craft and art stores. I think I will also check local thrift stores for used canvases and gesso over that I just don’t want to destroy someone’s art that should not be destroyed
Don’t bother covering the image as you fabric will go over it do you won’t see it. I looked for a canvas in the thrift store but couldn’t find a size that I liked
Thank you for the layout suggestions (and taking the camera out so we could see!) Once we get going, is there a way to use a lower table for wider shots, or maybe insert photos of the full project at the end of each session, so we can see the composition as it progresses? I’m super excited about this project and looking forward to the videos!
You are a very good teacher. ❤ so exciting ❤ I like the way your wall and table fabrics work together. ❤ Question. Do you think we need to compensate for the long term pull of gravity, because it will be hung on a wall? Have you seen any sagging with previous hung pieces? For example would slightly smaller invisible stitches on the back help? Or am I worrying about nothing?
I'm so exited about this project! Could you tell us how the schedule will look now that you gave us three weeks for the background (which is highly appreiated!).
Is this an appliqué project? Like if I add a vase with flowers, do you cut the vase out of fabric and stitch it on? And embroider the flowers? I am trying to figure this out to see if it’s something I can do.
We will show you as we go. It’s a slow stitch project that can include both raw edge and needle turn appliqué. Pretty much anything goes with our projects
❤❤❤
You are a very good teacher. Clear and straightforward. Thank you.
Thank you, Sarah! Love all your ideas and what you are going to use! It will be fantastic ❤❤❤
Love your vision for this Sarah! I love that we can all do our own thing. Mine will be very different but I’m super excited! Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡

Your layout puts me in the mind of Southern France, Provençal region. Very intriguing. I will be watching. 😊😊😊
Sarah: great start. I’m happy you have decided on another color scheme. Your fabric selections are so colorful and exuberant. Carol from California
It's gonna be glorious! Love that tablecloth. TFS 😊

Yes I will sort it out so you can see the wider frame. Might have to clean my table up so I have more space 😂
@@roxycreationsbysarahthank you!
If I understand the prompts, you will tell us where in the canvas but we choose our own its to do, correct?
❤❤❤
Thank you!

We have not done this before but I think that it will be ok as it will be very firmly secured to the canvas

I will show everyone in the next video 😊
When you say stitching is it to the canvas or on the fabric
The fabric- we won’t attach to the canvas until it’s finished
Are you sewing through the canvas? Or the wall sheet
No won’t be sewing through the canvas. Will attach the piece to the canvas at the end
