I love your snippet rolls. I did Anne’s challenge too but mine is not as pretty. I’ve purchased a spool and you’ve inspired me to have a theme, not random. 💛
Oh this was a lovely run through, one of the nicest snippet reels I've ever seen. I love how you actually have a story, or certainly a theme in each one. They're delightful. I commenced one with a machine stitched background of my 'random' pieces, I've yet to hand sew the embellishments and embroider sections. I think I definitely we'd to have a go at making Suffolk puffs.

Ah thanks.. do it.. just don’t over think it.. only work 2-3” at a time.. and when you get to the end.. start at the beginning again and add little details.. and it will come alive before your eyes! I plan to do a video soon.. showing my thinking as I create another one.. all the best!

They are lovely. My mom passed two yrs ago and I hae lots of her fabric and trinkets. I have three sisters who do not sew. I'm going to make a memory roll for each of them...

Thank you so much for your inspirations. I have already planned to make a slow stitch snippet roll to use as a garland for my Christmas tree. I'm planning to use a fine mesh cheese cloth for the base fabric. In my minds eyes, it will be beautiful

Yes stored on the bobbin.. it’s all a the stitching journey. But I do pick them up to revisit colour combinations .. often they inspire more projects once I look at them. Plus special pieces of lace have a safe place too be! Lots of memories on those spools

Love them all. So many different fabrics and weights. The buttons, beads, applicate, yoyo's, etc. are gorgeous. Very interesting.
They are relaxing to make., great way to test colour combinations!

Your snippet rolls are just so great Corinne, I’ve found it terribly difficult to find any of these reels. I’ve wanted to make a snippet roll since I saw Anne Brooke’s I started one on 1st September and I’m nearly competed it, it’s 4” x 1 metre. I’ve now enlisted my husband to pease please please make me some, they won’t be antique but I’ll be happy with them.
