#GameGrumps #FromPlanetZeltoid #ZombieDinos - Ігри
I *DO* know what to do, Dan! Zombie Dinos from Planet Zeltoid is the 238th game the Grumps have beaten! YEEAAHH! (Thanks again for the shoutout, boys!)
We love you for all your hard work in keeping the Grumps' Historical Scrolls updated and accurate! 'Tis a heavy burden ❤
Thanks for this. We love that you can let us know if they have beaten something so we don’t ask for it.
woah you are a fabeled legend
Yet pokemon sun and moon and emerald and Chrono cross Chrono trigger and and about 12 final fantasies remain unbeaten, there's also dans punch out title defense and arin still has to beat graduis and parodius. Good luck guys
@@queenb1119 Historical scrolls, that's deluxe lmao
Oh please Dan! I BEG OF YOU! COVER THIS SONG!
An NSP cover of the theme song is an automatic REQUIREMENT
A MILLION TIMES YES!!!!!
That would actually be amazing
I know they're all inspired by the same genre but I was amazed at how much it literally sounds like an NSP song or something Arin would come up with off the cuff, especially the line "they're eating mom and dad"
Was gonna comment the same. Lmao. Its so NSP's aesthetic.
DAN!! COVER THIS SONG!!! PUT IT ON UNDER THE COVERS VOL WHATEVER!!! THAT SHIT KICKSASS!!!
I think you mean it kicks brain.
This song was truly made for an NSP cover.
Goes right up there with Dinosaur Laser Fight!
I'm actually surprised that DLF WASN'T directly inspired by this. It's just too perfectly right up that alley.
PLEASE
I can feel Arin dying in real time, having to wait quietly and listen to instructions
Which is literally the only way to beat the game. They should really have a producer curate games so everyone involved doesn't have to rage at this crap.
@@storytellersd I’m past the point at being mad about it, as long as it’s a fun episode like this was.
What gets me is any time Arin’s incredibly angry at a game, saying it’s unfair/didn’t tell him what to do/makes no sense, when the game’s giving you tutorials on how to do all that stuff. Or getting bored by tutorials, skipping them, then getting mad about those same things.
And that doesn’t even bother me in the “Arin skips everything, that’s so stupid” way, it’s just in a “he’s mad but he could not be, and this is less fun now” way.
it's funny, once you've accepted that's who he is💀 he jokes about not reading instructions all the time so ik he was kicking himself after this
@@herogear_art It's a bit, they've mentioned it many times over the years.
@@ittapupu7406 it's a shit bit.
For those who don't know Cam Clarke, he was the voice of Leonardo in the original TMNT cartoon! Also Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid! Boy got some range!
Damn you're right...that's some crazy ass range!😮
That is Leonardo, okay, he sounded familiar.
Cam Clarke is a voice legend! He was also Kaneda in the Akira dub, Corrin from Fire Emblem, and Simba for a lot of non-movie Lion King stuff (games, TV show, etc).
This was obviously to pay his phone bill.
and Simba's Adult Singing voice
That song at the start is the most NSP song I've heard and it isn't even by NSP what the heck.
Y'know... This game has to do a lot with time travel... You don't think that Dan...?
I VERY MUCH CONCUR
Can't wait for kick some brain on under the covers vol 4
🎶 EVEN MOM AND DAD 🎶
Yes 100% @@jajajasputin8927
was not expecting "lets kick some brain" meant fighting an actual race of brain-people
Yeah I thought it was a zombie thing.
@@GooTheMightyI mean, the title *IS* Zombie Dinos, so I was definitely expecting a lot more “zombie” stuff 😂
Maybe it’s a double meaning, with the brain people and the zombies lol
🎶Let's! Kick some braaain~ 🎶
🎶Back to where they came from🎶
🎶To the far side of the moon!🎶
Bro I was reading the comments and right when I got to yours is when they sang it so I was really thrown off when I read your comment but heard it sang out loud lmao
This songs my new Helldivers 2 jump track.
Word son
Another high-quality modern title played by our favorite duo Dingo and Andrew
love those guys
I miss their first editor, Barney
I prefer Alvin and Denver.
@@swishfish8858Mark and Reese were better
@@swishfish8858 I prefer the new editor baltoy.
I choked when I heard the lyrics said "They've eaten Mom and Dad" and then I knew this was going to be a treat.
That one part sounded *_exactly_* like GG material
This reminds me of a Futurama episode where Fry goes to the brain Collector and says “What really killed the dinosaurs” and the brain goes “Me!”
That joke always made me laugh. Good times, good show
Oh my gosh watching Arin losing patience and being one click away from getting it really reminds me of watching my dad click on the internet explorer a million times after it doesn’t IMMEDIATELY load then getting insanely mad because a million windows open at once and completely lock up the computer😅
My mom still does this but with her phone. She taps it, it doesn’t open immediately, she taps like 18 times, then gets confused when it “randomly” opens some other thing because it loaded in as she was tapping and hit a button she didn’t want to 😂
It’s hilarious to watch
Hear me out. Next Ninja Sex Party Cover Album focused entirely on old 80’s and 90’s games and cartoons, (let’s kick some brain should definitely be on there) with like City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2, the Gummy Bear Theme Song, Stand Out from the Goofy Movie, etc.
The album name Under the Covers (with a flashlight playing my gameboy)
The cover shows Dan under a blanket silhouetted with a flash light and Ninja Brian as his mom checking up on him.
This is actually a brilliant idea
So have you applied for the marketing team or are you wasting our time and your life? This is genius.
Someone please get on this art because that is beautiful
My favorite game from the 80s, Sonic Adventure 2...
Better idea: the Sonic cartoon from Saturday mornings...
I'm fairly confident Somic Adventure 2 isn't from the 90s
Arin: "How fo i play this game?!"
Also Arin: "STOP TALKING TO ME!!"
Stages of Grump-Play
1. Skip tutorial
2. How do we play this game?
3. Figure it out
4. Suck at it
5. Next time on GG!
I can't imagine a game more perfect for Dan, I'm _amazed_ he'd never heard of it! It's always nice to hear him talk about dinosaurs ❤
On the other hand, the lizard guy is doing the Protagonist Voice™️ and making a weird amount of innuendos...so he's basically Arin
I feel like we say this once a week. Game for Dan should be it's own Genre
Those oldtimey nearly-upright dinosaurs are so charming. As long as they're not going full kangaroo. the 45-degree angle seems best, that Primal Rage look.
I honestly think I have a crush on Dexter. Is that bad 😳
@@onemanteam6543 not if you're a girl!
The perfect marriage of Donny and Arnold.
Does anyone else get REALLY annoyed that the sound they make after a correct answer is a BZZT and not a DING? BZZT is like, the universally accepted sound for NO, WRONG! and then Dexter says "aw, yeah!"
it's the sound of the brain being shot
@@Xepherya It is, and you can see the brain change colors when you get a question right, but it still took a couple of questions for me to notice that.
I thought it was a BZZT because it's like you're sending out electrical shocks to the brain
This game could NOT be more tailored to Danny. The credits should've had his name as special honors 😂
This game is perfect for Dan because it's 80s/90s Rock and Roll Dinos.
This game is also the opposite of perfect for Arin because you need patience...making it perfect for us lovelies looking for laughs and reasons to scream at Arin
Dan casually destroys every single question about Dinosaurs like it's nothing, with no prep. I knew he was really into them, but this is impressive.
Doesn’t he have like a whole website dedicated to dinosaurs?
Arin, acid rain can happen naturally too, for example: Volcanic eruptions launch sulfuric compounds into the air, which cause acid rain downwind
true. but also..
🤓☝

I was looking for someone mentioning this, I ❤ this community
They got a pretty decent handle on the Grunt-o-meter by the end, but I don't understand why this brand of interaction happens so often on this show 😭
Dan: "I think we should figure out how to accurately read the part of the screen that literally tells us where to click."
Arin: "Nah, I'd rather guess and then get mad because I don't understand"
ADD
"man talk about BLOWING your stack!"
"wait until its nice and cool, and HARD"
is this dino flirting with you?
Love how it took a mere ten minutes for them to go from, "Oh, wow, it's Cam Clarke!" to, "Shut up, dude."
Seeing Cam Clarke and Doug Stone here in acting roles was great. I took notice that the script supervisor was Lia Sargent: absolute legend as Dorothy in The Big O, Chun-Li in the Street Fighter II animated movie, and especially Milly Thompson in Trigun.
I've sung "LETS! Kick some brain!" at least once every 5 minutes since this video dropped
I'm expecting a full NSP cover of the Zombie Dinos from Planet Zeltoid theme song
This is one of my favorite recent Grumps episodes. An absolute delight: Danny super into everything about it, Arin having fun, early-90s CD jankiness, the way that they know by voice and presentation the specific people who worked on the game. Just a great one-off.
(Also: Cam Clarke for Guest Grumps?)
I'm sorry.. but NSP *HAVE* to cover 'Let's Kick Some Brain!"😂
Oh my God yes!!!!
The FMV is actually really good and smooth in this tho
the game telling them to look at the tutorial and then ignoring it….. classic
I find it fascinating that the people who sing theme songs go so unnoticed. That was a stellar intro
28:43
I agree, she definitely has "receptionist at Dan's old dentist's office" vibes.
I LOVE when Dan gets to play anything related to dinosaurs! He just immediately becomes the nerdy kid who read books on dinos instead of going to recess and it’s adorable!
Arin: "Yeah, but this is a game for babies."
Also Arin: gets clue wrong
Arin kissed your dad. You can lie to yourself and say it didn’t happen, but you need to acknowledge the truth so you can move past the trauma of knowing that Arin savagely smooched your dad.
If this isn't already a copypasta, it needs to be.
Is Arin nicotine addiction with complications due to throat cancer...
Well that means he's a necrophiliac.
....that honestly doesn't surprise me.
@@gracemangumsounds similar to Cartman's tragic backstory for New Kid in the Fractured but Whole.
We must all become truth seekers, and accept the FACT that Arin kissed our dads.
I started watching the grumps in high school and today I graduated from college, and I still never miss an upload! Thank you for bringing me laughs every day while I worked for this❤❤❤
Congratulations on graduation! Look at you being all educated! :)
Arin unable to find the brain blobs that he was pursuing and apparently was attempting to zombify a dinosaur was more of a pain in the Jurassic than Dan getting excited by seeing that Allosaurus' dumpy at the right angle.
This is the most interesting sentence I've ever read.
I am entirely okay with a fifty minute Game Grumps episode of just the theme song of this game.
arin "skips the tutorial" hanson strikes again
Dan dropping Dino knowledge like it's hot here
LET'S KICK SOME BRAIN!🎸
42:50 "That we watched on the Power Hour once"
Man, I swear they completely memory holed their Good Content series from 2019. Never understood why it didn't continue through the Covid lockdowns and remote recordings since it seemed to lend itself well to not necessarily needing to be done in person.
This is the most “Dan” intro song ever created 3:13
I feel like this game came from an alternate reality where Dan did not pursue a music career and instead developed weird-ass games.
Universe where he composed Let’s Kick Some Brain and said “that’s it, I’ll never top this” and never touched an instrument again
Fact Checks:
23:09 Non-avian dinosaurs are generally considered reptiles. (Birds, despite being dinosaurs, are traditionally excluded)
44:53 This is known as the "Sauropod hiatus", and is primarily true for North America in the middle of the Cretaceous. It's unclear how much this actually represents sauropod decline, vs just a preservation bias (with less sauropod-suitable habitat fossilizing).
Still, the early Cretaceous saw some of the largest dinosaurs such as the South American Argentinosaurus and North American Sauroposeidon, and by the end of the Cretaceous Alamosaurus appeared in North America, possibly migrating from the south.
PS: Saltasaurus has a very short neck and small body size for a sauropod (about 10 meters), probably adapting for a low-grazing lifestyle.
Dinosaur detective over here
Fact Checks / Since-This-Game’s-Release Updates*
Cam Clarke is really good at playing reptiles! 🥷🏼🔷🐢
"I think that's a Tenontosaurus" In the Jurassic period?!
Can't believe I thought Fossil Fighters Champions invented zombie dinosaurs. I'm cultured now.
I read "ten outta ten o saurus."
@@chuckporter9526 HAAHAAHA hey whatever works!
I freaking love the full tilt 90's attitude in here and how everyone involved in this production gave it their all.
I knew Dan was passionate about dinosaurs, but I'm even more impressed now by his extensive knowledge for em 👏
it's actually INSANE how much the intro just sounds like an early NSP song!!!! its so great
God this game just screams 90’s. Zombies, dinosaurs, and space, just all the boxes ticked for boys in the 90’s.
Fun Fact: Cam Clarke was also the singing voice for Simba in the Lion King II, though yes, he is probably most well known for the OG TMNT cartoon from 1989 (personally, I am a bigger fan of Rob Paulsen, the voice of Raphael). Also, hot damn, that brain kicking song was unexpectedly good. I am so happy that Dan made Arin let it keep playing. Dan's right, that key change was incredible. I'm about to rewind and listen to it again six or seven more times.
The joy Dan felt during this play through was infectious
I bet the story how that song came to be went something like "Ok, we need you to compose a rock song for our dinosaur spaceship action game. Something that really says 'let's kick some ass'." - "Alright, here it is!" - "Wait, this actually says 'let's kick some ass' in the refrain! We can't sell it to the kids like that!" - "...The nerdy kids that love learning about dinosaurs?" - "Noo, no, the COOL kids!" - "Alright, gotcha."
Cam Clarke has such an iconic voice. He'll always be Leonardo in my mind but he always kills it
“Let’s Kick some Brain” is the most phoned in theme lyric I’ve ever heard.
Never mind I just found out it’s not their fault the enemies are brains.
That's the most "I don't have a personality or thought processes of my own so I just say the things they say" comment I've ever read
@@Nny2005Damn, always wanted to meet a real free thinker. It’s not that serious, dog.
@@Nny2005are you okay? do you have issues?
@@MATCHAPUDDIN what issues you think I have? It was a pretty wild comment on my part.
ME: ya know, there was this one video game I saw at a sleepover for like FIVE MINUTES as a kid, it was really confusing and had floating brains in it... don't remember the name, so I'll probably never see it again
Game Grumps: **bursts through the wall** LET'S KICK SOME BRAINS
1:27 - That is video of a muppet. They did not 3DCG that in 1990whatever, that is just a straight up muppet. Hoo boy...
It looks good though. Very smooth FMV.
@@dem160d Yeah i don't know how old this game is, but if its from the 90s, the way it looks, the FMV quality is CRAZY good for something that old.
is there something wrong with it being a muppet?
That is a CREATURE. from the Creature Shop. And if it's not, then it's a reasonable facsimile. The latex, the motorized facial features, that thing is amazing.
@@RuecianGray 1992, I had to google it. Also, it's on Steam and GOG for $7.
That Dino puppet almost certainly was made by the Chiodo Brothers.
Aaaand they’re in the credits - I did NOT expect the Grumps to actually finish it 🤣
It's amazing
Those stomp-motion dinosaurs are almost certainly the same ones used for the Dinosaur VHS specials with Gary Owens and Eric Boardman.
A game that asks dinosaur questions. Dan's time has come.
Yes Arin, acid rain can naturally occur without humans help.
Game: "After you identity the dinosaur you're looking for, you then have to find it."
Arin: "Yeah, whatever."
Game: Asks Arin if he would like to save the extremely limited time he has left to find the dinosaur by figuring out the type of dinosaur himself.
Arin: "No, you do it!"
Game: "Okay. Good luck, dumbass!"
Arin: "I still have to find it! Fuck!"
Danny: "It specifically said that!"
Me: "Classic Game Grumps."
I'm going to be holding an innocent plush dinosaur hostage at gunpoint until someone does a goddanged cover of Let's Kick Some Brain.
Harry the Harrier the bad guy being Doug Stone was awesome. I kept hearing the voice thinking I knew it. Turns out they also did Psycho Mantis on Metal Gear Solid
Thought I recognized it, too, and came around to the comments to see if anyone else noted it.
Liquid Snake and Psycho Mantis in the same game?!
The Chiodo Brothers are also the namesake(does namesake work reverse, I know the special effects brothers came first) of my favorite post hardcore band
Eponymous?
I started crying at the two minute mark when Dan screamed "WHAT IS THIS?" as the logo was on screen. Ah, this is gonna be a good video.
47:55 oh my God, the dinosaur effects were done by the Chiodo Brothers. They're visual effects legends. They're the Killer Klowns From Outer Space people.
Edit: literal seconds after I wrote this comment, Dan said exactly that. This is what I get for not waiting to write a comment.
Your comment is still appreciated! I know how to spell the name to look them up now!
the genuine despair at 16:07 is just delicious
For an educational game I'm impressed. They really went above and beyond to make it actually feel like a actual game, not just a mini-game with quizzes constantly.
MUPPET TEENAGE MUTANT ZOMBIE DINOS!!!!!!!!!!!! I. AM. COMPLETE.
Holy crap, the Chiodo Bros. did the dinosaurs and the Dexter puppet!? If you don't know who those guys are, they did "Large Marge" from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, the puppets in Team America, and tons of other stuff. Insane.
EDIT: And Dan literally points them out one minute after I did.
...... I wish NSP would do a cover album of videogame songs, including this game's theme and the ending theme for Phantasmagoria........
Love it when they dig up something truly weird and obscure, and a dinosaur trivia FMV game about battling evil space brains hosted by a Cam Clarke-voiced puppet featuring an original rock theme song definitely fits that criteria. Keep throwing us the oddballs, boys!
This was actually pretty cool game. A game actually made Arin sit down and listen to the whole tutorial and made him click on to it in the first place. Besides that it was cool seeing Dino and Arinasaur jam to that theme song, Dans dino knowledge pays off again. I love watching this.
Gene Miller is an American actor. He provided Kovu's singing voice in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. He also voices one of the animals in the song "One of Us."
This is the most unapologetically 90s game I've seen since Zombies Ate my Neighbors lol
And it is glorious!
I can just feel how impatient Arin was getting having to actually listen to instructions 😂
Dan talking about being stepped on by big dinosaur feet definitely stoked the "Dan is a furry" fire in a whole different way. 😂
seeing them play an interplay game really makes me think seeing Gamegrumps play any fallout game would be amazing
Could you even imagine how frustrating it would be to watch them play fallout 1 or 2😅😅😅
@@ciaralee2529 if they play fallout 1 Arin might get stuck fighting the rat outside the vault, they'd definitely have more fun playing new Vegas
I loved this! I really enjoy watching them play older games. I hope there’s more lined up in the future!
So this is basically Where in the World is Carmen Sandiegosaur
What a delightful little video this was. This is what makes GG special. Any other LPer on Earth would approach this game with all the wrong energy; they'd trash it and hate it and forget it. The combination of Arin's game design mind + affable incompetence and Danny's love for dinosaurs + casual gaming ignorance results in a net-positive review on a CDI game nobody liked when it was new and nobody remembered once it was old.
How on earth they managed to afford The Chiodo Brothers to build the puppet is a mystery.
I'm 2 minutes in and this is the most amazingly 90's thing i've ever seen in my life. i'm in love.
I was *not* expecting to hear Leonardo's voice coming out of a spacefaring dinosaur puppet today. XD
Dan’s immediate overwhelming joy at the intro just turned my shitty day into a very good day
I stopped watching a possibly time-traveling Victorian lady make pudding for this one. Dinos are just more important
Mrs Crocombe on the "English Heritage" channel?
@@Hermititis holy crow, yes! Did you find her, or was UA-cam cluing in on historical cooking/building methods in their recommendations for you, too?
I thought you were talking about Karolina Zabrowska! She's definitely another time traveler.
Either NSP or another of Dan’s music projects needs to cover the opening theme.
Best episodes are where the boy's are excited about the game, this one is a perfect example of that!
nvm kept watching they hate it
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, Day 116:
Went to a hibachi grill. Fuckin epic. 15/10.
Forgot to mention this, but yesterday you went to a wedding, and recently I got married(?!).
(More pizza for me today. Grill sounds awesome).
Yo, me too!!
Happy for you.
Dudes I kind of flabbergasted by Dexter and other dinos, I think he is a puppet in FMV cutscene. Impressive puppet looks crazy amazing in low resolution bit form. It's like those Ray Harryhausen stop-motion, just the uncanny valley of movement. {O_O}
Arin: there has to be something I'm missing, right?
Me: yes, the tutorial you skipped.
Me, shouting "THERIZINOSAURUS!" to myself in my home alone in response to literally everything, yet again.
Guys with Silly Voices AND Dinosaurs?? It's the PERFECT Arin and Dan combo!
I'd kill for an NSP cover of that theme song. It would suit them so well!
Danny's improv'd line at the end KILLED me 😂😂😂
Danny and Gene Miller collab incoming
Dinosaurs, puppets, and a rocking theme song? Hell yeah.
I am genuinely hoping that someone can find the rights holders of that song so Dan can cover it. That was wicked.
Man that dexter puppet is amazing. I bet its in the back of some dudes closet rotting right now.
Always love when Dan gets to gush about dinosaurs and flex is knowledge
