I was not suprised, "Greg" felt very reminiscent of Ban Ban, and I thought it would be a Ban Ban character when they mentioned a one-eyed orange thing.
Which, amazingly, means that Choo Choo Charles is in this universe
It's funny. The "Your anchor WILL be enough" message was probably created for people exactly like Arin, who might otherwise spend 30 minutes not using their anchor, wondering what to do.
yeh. ludonarrative dissonance is one of those terms people like arin tend to overuse. This was just an example of greg being arrogant and incorrect.
@@Nowolf The part that was Ludonarrative dissonance, is the game telling the player that the anchor _"will"_ work, in spite of Greg's bluff saying it wouldn't.
From the character's perspective, the anchor does *_not_* always harm enemies, like when it stuns them instead of hurting them. There's little reason why the character should ignore Greg's warning when a armor meched shark *_should_* be far more defended than the enemies up to that point, but the player is outright told the anchor is still useful, leading the player to play the character differently than what may have naturally ocurred without the 4th wall breaking prompt.
Arin was correct in his use of Ludonarrative dissonance. Regardless of how minor it is, this is an error on the game dev's part. *_"but I have a feeling your anchor won't be enough this time..."_* should only be worded this way, if the gameplay mechanics the player learned up to that point may not be enough to beat the boss, like needing to find and shut down a power transmitter to weaken Greg's mech, for instance. Nearly any other wording of the Greg's smack-talk would have negated the need for the 4th wall breaking hint that the anchor still works.

The plot of this game is Luke a Buffy the vampire slayer episode where the swim coach is drugging the swim team to turn into fish people.
The earworm melody they were singing along to was 'It's Coming Down' by Cake. Definitely a solid album and band worth checking out.
Edit: They kinda float through a few Cake melodies, but Arnold really went to town on 'It's Coming Down.'
I heard more of 'The Distance' than anything but 'It's Coming Down' was definitely there too.
