Hey Ryan thanks for the update, also do you know if there is some kind of waitlist for the ADU grant that we can sign up for?
I’ve got an advocacy mailing list that I hope to keep up to date (link in video description). CalHFA has a newsletter (for all programs). And my understanding is that some of the entities from the last round are accepting clients for non-grant work and they can keep clients informed about grant updates

@@HowToADU rayan is it better to put each adu on separate electric meters cost is more
so the tenants pay for there own bills
@@darrellvartanian3361 Oof, that really depends on your situation. Some cities/utilities force separate meters or sub meters, while others require using the same meter. And if you have options, then you really have to decide for yourself. Investors who don't know their tenants are often scared to include unlimited power use at one fixed rent. People who are housing family members often feel very differently. Solar set up could also affect how you make this decision. Sorry - not a great place for specific project advice!
How do we fight this?

Wow… that’s sad news indeed. Hope we can all get … behind? the moving train and stop the wreck from happening!

Are you saying that if I have an award letter, it may be void? Or is it new applications? I received it in Oct 2022 and just about to break ground on our ADU project.
This is about future funding. It does not apply to the first $100 million that has been awarded in 2022
Is it a done deal (ie rejected) or going to be another round yeah of vote?
They vote soon (probably next week, def before the 15th)
Thumbs down 👎

Like my father used to say " Beware of Greeks bearing gifts ". Who would have thought that all Democrat legislators are Greek?
