There are albums you like, albums you love, albums that get you pumped, all sortsa feels from music. But then there are entire albums that just, I dunno, line up with you completely and instantly become a part of your very brainwaves like it was supposed to be there all along. Habitual Levitations is one of those albums to me.

I play drums since I was 16y and I remember exactly the first time I listened to Habitual Levitations in 2016. I was shocked how this album is unique in terms of how jazz, polyrhythms and prog metal are smothly combined. Completely felt in love for this song specifically and spend the following months listen to it constantly. One of my favorite songs ever!

I met there bassist about a week ago on the tour with Between the buried and me, He's a really modest person and is a great guy to talk with. Absolutely impressed with their performance!

    • @howycwap

there are few people in this scene that are not modest and very nice people. theyre pretty much all humble since they rely on the fans to eat, and they all understand theyre in one of the least popular genres out there. No power or money have gotten to their heads, now this is MOST of the people

Oh, yeah. He's gotta be one of the most genuine guys I've ever met, musicians aside. He seems to always make himself available at their shows. I've seen them twice, and both times it would've been weirder/more awkward if I DIDN'T stop and talk to him. He's THAT friendly. He and David Timnick both. And yeah, obviously their performance is always breathtaking.

I think this might possibly be the most underrated band ever. And somehow I'm OK with that, they're just not a band I could see getting huge, its really a limited market.

    Lyrics:
    Blank and numb
    No love or hate
    All distraction
    No meaning
    Just rats in the wheel
    Chasing our tails
How did we become so happy to ignore it all

I don't remember saying that honestly. I think I meant that I just don't care about him in Palms that much, because of how instrumentally heavy it is. He serves his purpose definitely though. Haven't heard too much Deftones besides their last record. But yeah dude, cheers!

    • @NWHSBL
      @NWHSBL 9 років тому

Endless Static Deftones have some really hard shit. Check out Rickets, When Girls Telephone Boys, Fireal, Around the Fur, Elite, Korea, Hexagram, Bloody Cape, RatsRatsRats, Rapture, Royal. Dude's voice is great for hard stuff, in fact they're mostly a hard style band. It's only the last 2-3 albums they've gone pretty soft. I don't think you'll be disappointed, based on your music taste from what I've seen.

Endless Static Yeah, they're definitely fan acclaimed. They're one of those just under the surface "underground-yet-not" kind of bands. You hardly ever hear them on the radio but every show is sold out in hours.

The person writing the article said, "...Intronaut’s marriage of Mastodon and Pelican-influenced sounds have made them a favorite among those with an appetite for all things resting on the divide between post-rock and stoner doom." The last part of the quote I agree with. But yeah, I can I hear Meshuggah and Baroness in the music as well...damn it. lol
