I saw in an interview with Andy Muschietti that there's actually a deleted scene implying that Bruce Wayne tried to go back in time to save his parents, and that's why he knows about time travel. I really hope we get this scene on home release
Two Ezra Millers in The Flash?
Why, that's four choking hands!
This movie could have been better, A LOT BETTER!
But, it was great to see Michael Keaton return as Batman once again.
Hollywood has an aversion to good movie making
@@robotsaysbeebooboopit’s a lot of the wrong decision making. It always baffles me when you hear about what directors cut out “for time/pacing” but then you see what they left in….🤦🏻♂️
It’s all ‘memba berries
So was this Tony from the universe where Sylvester Stallone was the Terminator?
The only reason why in Supergirl they changed from a skirt to pants, is because Melissa got tired of being cold since the show filmed in Vancouver.
Sadly, the only thing everyone agrees about this movie it's that it was a Box Office bomb and the last nail on the coffin of the DCEU
I can't wait to hear Tony's thoughts on michael keaton. Apparently he was one of the best parts of the movie along with sasha calle as supergirl
So Supergirl was killed because the movie mentioned that the Crystal metal was on the Kryptonian ships and it is what the ships are made of. It's the shards that are stabbing into Berry 2 and it is what Dark Flash's suit is made of. That is why the blade is able to pierce Supergirl's skin it is made of this material. Kryptonians can be hurt by alien technology like the World engine from Man of Steel or the Motherboxes. The machine they used to extract the codex can kill her because if the codex is extracted from her she dies.
I think the scene were Barry is talking to Bruce outside of his building is some of the best acting I have seen from Ben Affleck
I really do Love Affleck as Bruce Wayne!
If that's his last scene as the character, he left on a subtle but high note
@@supernerd5781 I agree
The Movie Flash got his name From the TV show Flash. When they met during the crisis event.
Wtf is "Fan service"? And why do people act like it's such a bad thing.
PANTIES!!
1:34:01 The idea of Tony lifting weights yelling he is a man is too funny haha
I just watched The Flash yesterday on MAX and I really enjoyed it. Kinda bummed that Batgirl has been shelved. Clooney's cameo is great especially when made it clear to Howard Stern decades ago that would be his only appearance as Batman, but I always thought Clooney was a good Bruce Wayne. Anyway great episode!
I know you weren’t sure, but the movie with Nicolas Cage was “Superman Lives” and that was, indeed, written by Kevin Smith. On top of that, Superman fighting the giant spider was in that very script 😆
This my my favorite episode of the nerd crew, glad you guys thought it was very cool (VERY COOL!)
It wasn't a mind blowing movie but it was heartfelt and enjoyable and I recommend it if you just want a good time at the movies.
I liked the part when the flash choked that woman in Iceland lolz 🤣 and the then when he threw that chair at that lady in Hawaii was so genius, also braking into some random guys house to steal liquor was very funny 😂 guess he was thirsty?
After seeing it having a fun time, I'd really want to see Sasha Calle to return as Supergirl in the Woman of Tomorrow adaptation.
Frank got Wazowski'd in the wide shots lol
It was actually Grant’s Flash that said the ‘Flash’ name to Ezra’s in ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’
The original live action Flash isn’t JWS, it was actually Rod Haase in Legends of the Superheroes from 1979 (that’s the earliest one I’m aware of anyway)
idc what anyone says about the movie itself or anything that has to do with it .. i enjoyed the movie. just sux that we won’t get any type of continuation cuz it did poorly unfortunately.
And Ezra Miller is a criminal.
Movie sucked
Man, Frank is just awesome. He's such a great co-host and is effortlessly cool.
Yeah. I honestly would prefer it if Frank and Tony switched places/roles.
@@burntvirtue Jealous Tony hid him behind a batman bust so the audience couldn't see him.
Hey thank you for the kind words! I try to always break down the films to the best of my ability and I love doing it!
@@frankvolpe3232you’re the best of all Toni hosts. Definitely going into more detail than most.
Tony despite the rebirth of the DCEU. Does this mean we've been watch the cinematic version of "The New 52?"
Nice seeing alternate universe hack the movies, with Tommy, Christie and Fred.
What Crystal said is spot on, at the theater I saw it the manager actually gave a disclaimer saying this movie is loud and they can not adjust the audio it’s just how the copy they were provided is and they had no control over it and that turning it down would make the dialogue too low.
I wish they'd stop applying HDR to modern movie audio. I have a powered center channel to combat this & I still end up turning on CC.
I don't get it, what do you mean!?
Sweet Crystal said there was nobody in the theater to “that was the whole time I heard the entire audience laughed” so I can’t help but picture just one guy on the other side of the empty theater break out laughing wildly at that one moment but sat in silence the whole movie.
Hahahahaha there were three groups of guys in the theater and felt super empty not literally empty, but I much prefer your version!
@@Crystalquinhe's calling you a liar stand up for yourself girl.
Crystal and Frank, awesome. Thank you Tony!
Was Frank's mic not switched on? He was awfully quiet
My mistake this episode. I somehow didn’t raise my mic high enough before we started. Won’t happen again. 😅
@@frankvolpe3232 not at all! Always a pleasure to hear your dulcet tones on HTM
44:31 I found that exact tape of the Nightmare Before Christmas at my goodwill still sealed, I opened it because I’m nostalgic for VHS viewings and there was an offer for a Jack Skellington mug from A&W and Duracell batteries. 1:13:00 also there’s a heated debate over whether or not Wonder Woman should have a skirt or pants and honestly it’s kind of a moot point, yes on one hand it’s a little sexist to have a powerful Amazonian warrior wearing a metal tube top and a mini skirt, but I’ve seen a video from years ago where they asked several woman at Comic-Con if she should have a skirt or pants and they all agreed that she shouldn’t wear trousers, so I think Super Girl wearing pants is the same, plus the actress playing her in the CW show was freezing on set so of course they gave her pants. 1:31:21 also, Nick Cage finally did get to play Super Man in Teen Titans Go to the Movies, so I’m satisfied with that! If you get the joke it’s pretty funny!😂
It's good that Ezra finally ran fast enough to rewrite their public image.
They're still probably gonna get recast because the movie failed miserably at the box office
@@kdusel1991eah, full recast. Also Aquaman 2 doesn't look good at all apparently
@@KillerKondom that's what I've heard. I think Jason Momoa would be an excellent Lobo though.
@michaellavoie3606 lmao the first made a billion HOW DO YOU EFF UP THE SEQUEL ?!
The joke is undercut by the respectful use of "their"
Awe Kieran made a cameo in this review❤
Actually flash in this universe got his name from the TV universe flash when they met in that crossover
Supervoid Cinema did a long form history of the attempts to get a flash movie off the ground. Michael J Fox and Ryan Reynolds were all attached at various points to play either barry allen or wally west allen.
Seeing Keaton's Batman croak not once but again it got me.
It wasn't Teddy Sears as jay Garrick they based the design on one of the film's editors, Jason Ballentine.
I really love Crystal’s glitzy look in this video:)
Yes
The Iris in the movie Does not look like the Iris I remember in the comics? Whats up with that
Oh my gosh, that Italian pronounciation was soooo goood Antonio!!!
I figured it out; this Crystal must be from Earth 279. Makes sense
Crystal looking fly af too btw...dang girl
Well, is he the same version we saw in the Tim Burton movies though? Or is he a variant? Cause they said those movies happened on Earth 89. Which we saw in the Arrowverse crossover. In The Flash movie is a different timeline. Is Keaton instead of Affleck. Is not Earth 89. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tobey and Andrew are the same versions from those previous movies. Those happened on other universes. I think is a similar version. But not the same. Same with George Clooney.
Disney is the one gaining the most of the Box Office Bomb that turned out to be The Flash..... so people don't talk about the (semi) failure of The Live - Action The Little Mermaid and the (absolute) failure of Elemental.
Oh. Marvel isn't of the chopping block as, aside from limited profit(never mind "Hollywierd accounting" with paying themselves...), they are not dying quickly enough.
Yay another Crystal episode.
I'm TDKR as well in the football scene! I live in Pittsburgh and just had to he there. I still have my Gotham Rogues shirt lol.
The only good parts with Affleck in the whole movie were where he was talking to Barry about time travel and that immediate opening shot where he's first talking to Barry over comms and he sounds so cool. The rest was butt. He smiles which Batman only rarely ever does. To the point where it makes people uneasy when he DOES smile. The suit was horrible. From the cape to the dumb hex armor on his chest. To the shiny emblem to his nose.
I love how Michael Shannon reacted when he got the call to play Zod again cuz he couldn't grasp the flashpoint timeline deal 🤣 he was like "what??? I'm dead....what timeline are you talking about man?!?" So he may actually have phoned it in a little lol dude's awesome
The weirdest thing I noticed when I visited a reality without VPNs, was that the hackers didn't use them either, so it was easier to avoid problems by just keeping an eye out for out of place names and IPs. Unfortunately, still the same amount of people hacked, people are negligent everywhere.
The Flash Film felt way too much fanservice was used for this. But I will say that having Michael Keaton return as Batman and Sasha Calle as Supergirl was great.
Nice haircut, Tony 😅
Tony were you thinkin about sliders?
Looks like Tony is wearing a Theodore shirt lol
Loved it. Also, Frank is such a great guest. His episodes are always top notch
Thank you Sir!
Maybe he's using the batman beyond suit
You can say whateva you want Tony as long as you say it from the ❤. No diggity No doubt 1:08:29
Whenever it's just Tony on screen, my mind completes the cut off marquee as "The Clash".
did I hear someone say my name?
For as much as you bagged on the movie you had a lot of funny and great moments you talked about.
They simply could have had Michael Keaton play Thomas Wayne. Easy fix.
Or not killed off Michael Keaton which I’m still confused by tbh.
@tigertank06 This film is full of unusual choices. But, overall, it was alright. Nothing to write home about, but fun enough for a late stage capeshit film.
1:08:23 holy shit he's talking about my comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm fucking dead
The cgi sorta didn’t bug me in this movie for some reason even tho it’s really bad. Director explained why and while it’s an excuse, it’s at least kinda consistent idk. It wasn’t like black panther where 2/3 of the movie looks great then the last 3rd looks like vomit.
I'd skip this movie as I'm not a big fan of multi-verses and time travel. Glad you guys had fun reviewing it, though.
I enjoyed this movie. Went for Keaton Batman but I really enjoyed the banter between the two Flashes.
A lot of the CGI was distracting.
is it really that hard to make everyones volume the same level? tony is so much louder than the other people.
Give me the 4 hour movie i felt it seemed short even at its length.
So the two words used in this that I couldn't let go were when Fred or Frank said "climatic" and when the woman said "shoulded". Shit was funny
Dude... You're all a bunch of whiny kiddos aren't ya? 🤣. Keaton was in it. Keaton IS Batman. Period. That's everything anyone would need to know... Oh, and the nose on his cowl was also messed up.... They should've kept the 89 cowl or at least the Returns one (if they wanted a more polished version)
Fan service shouldn’t be looked at as a negative thing. The fact that the movie was even made is “fan service”.
Panties!!!
@@theflail lmao ok
Don't think it's the fan service, it's how it was handled. The Flash did some pretty tasteless things in the name of fan service.
You've never seen Gotham then...
It’s more a case of, is it done well within the story that’s being told???
Not wether it’s a “bad” thing in general
The Spiderverse movies are an example of appropriately utilizing fan service.
The Star Wars sequel trilogy is an example of it being done poorly.
We got the characters that everyone loves. But, we also got little to no character progression with the new characters we were supposed to follow through this new saga.
It’s seen as a “negative” because it’s now associated with bad movies and other media due to what’s been pushed out. It feels like they put in fan service at the detriment of the story they’re trying to tell. The studios KNOW that certain things are going to bring in more revenue. And more times than not, they interfere with the direction of already written stories. A lot of that is adding in more fan service so they can say that so and so is in this movie for a cameo.
I cant wait for this! I hope you guys liked it because I really enjoyed it! Surprising how good it was and the FAN SERVICE!
I'm okay with being wrong, but are you under 23?
Panties!!!
Are you thinking of sliders with the alternate realities?
Great overlooked show. I think tony mentioned doing it at some point
Central City is in Missouri, Keystone City is in Kansas, Gotham City is in Jersey, and Metropolis is across the bay in Delaware
Dude. DO NOT FORGIVE THEM for anything. None of the responsible parties deserve it.
I’m glad the general public isn’t falling for the “Michael Keaton
is back as Batman!” marketing gimmick.
Isn't the mom "Mercedes" from Pan's Labyrinth?
frank you gotta ride the mic with your voice
Agreed! I was just so excited to talk about the film that I was bouncing all around 😅
You know what “Star Trek” thing teaches the same lesson that The Flash and Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier try to, but in FAR LESS time? Star Trek: The Next Generation season 6 episode 15 Tapestry.
Speaking of which. This Supergirl in this movie did not look like the supergirl from the comics or from the Arrow-verse CW TV. and was in the wrong outfit. Whats going ON ? how is this explained
Who's bright idea was it to put that Batman mask right in front of that Frank guy?
And wtf does the editor keep cutting to that garbage angle?
AFFLECK WAS THE BOMB IN PHANTOMS YO!
I hate when ppl say Batman shouldn’t kill. They adapting fictional characters to real world . What the point of having hero that just gonna slap a villain in handcuff then said see you in next movie cause I can’t kill
I feel like this review will have better box office numbers than The Flash
Was the beer wall phasing scene a reference to shawkshank redemption since it had that poster
Tony's official super hero name is📼 ... MOViE!!! MaN!!!!
Hack the Movies with Tony! YESS!!
Was frank being sarcastic? He really said over 7000 hours lmao. 184 episodes x 40 mins is 7360 minutes. Very big difference lol. Or 122.66 hours. Still their point stands but their math doesn't.
Whoa yeah I meant minutes and meant to add 122 hours haha I did the math all the way through! sorry about that! Great catch! This show moves quickly sometimes 😉
I don't get the Harold Ramis issues I got super emotional seeing him because all I could think after he passed was about him being left out and seeing that he wasn't really got me.
How about the fact, ezra has the same running form as Steven Seagal
ACTUALLLYYYY Ezra's Flash's first hearing of the Flash name is from Grant Gustin's Barry Allen, not Lex Luthor!
So I heard through the internet mulitverse, that the director Andy Muschietti, apparently said in an interview that the reason Keatons Batman isn’t Batman at first when we see him, is because supposedly…..
he killed a criminal in front of his own son, accidentally or intentionally, and i guess it screwed him up…. idk 🤷♂️
Now that seems sooooo stupid to cut!! 😢
This was bad service. Good fan service would have been a faithful adaptation of Flashpoint Paradox.
I love you Tony, from hack the movies
Weird, I did not think it got better as it went along.
I'd love to see a review of Blade Runned 2049 pls :3
I normally like Crystal with the glasses. But damn lady, you're starting to kill it without 'em. I'm really mixed up right now... But we're not here to talk about that! lol love all you crazies. Keep up that good twerk.
My favourite channel 🎉❤
I loved the movie. I watched it 4 times with basis on the nostalgia for Michael Keaton alone.
Harold Ramis Ghost scenes were perfect, the problem was making his character a dead beat dad. The cameos here didn’t bother me. Most of the cgi didn’t bother me for some reason. I think maybe because most of it is slo mo shit, so I bought into it. I think the director did great, and just got the shit end of the stick.
I find it kinda funny that the whole multiverse concept has become such an overused trope in such a small period of time. The comics used the concept for decades and now its everywhere. And ironically its actually the comic book movies that are making it feel so cliche. Especially considering the flash which had one of the best multiverse arcs is the latest to the party
