I really like the idea of Staragon being the evolution of both Flapple and Appletun but I’m not sure how you’d be able to translate those two into the same Pokémon considering how different they are in behaviour, design, and battle proficiencies. Maybe make both of them evolve into Staragon but two different forms of Staragon, a smaller more aggressive one and a bigger chunkier one depending on which evolved. Maybe then we could hone more in on the pie and wing themes for each.
Maybe eviolite zoroark will actually be capable of taking a neutral hit? That would be pretty op given how many resists it has as a.... Mono dark. Watch out all those sweepers who only know ghost dark and psychic moves.
for Staragon, I could imagine it having 2 forms, based on which middle stage it was and the differences being what’s on it, those bun things (as seen in the video) if it evolved from Appletun, and chunks of apple skin if it evolved from Flapple
I love Staragon the most. I guess you can also see the tar- prefix from tart in its name. Also the word tarragon can be seen which does have some strange mixes with apples in specific sauces. Theres also the word star in the name as well, implying the fruit theme via starfuit or anything draconic in origin
This video got me thinking about another idea: What if a Pokémon and its regional form had a common evolution? Like, for example, what if Zoroark and its hisuian form both evolved into a single new Pokémon?
For Zoroark to evolve it must be at least level 50 but also have fought and defeated a certain amount of trainer Pokemon (or any in general) while not breaking its illusion. So that at least there's a "reason" why all previous Zoroark haven't ever evolved before by reaching level 50. Maybe it's Pokemon above a certain level too so that you don't just spam knocking out route 1 Pokemon.
Zorrondeous actually doesn’t work with non-English speaker in my opinion, like you know.. Lucario and Zoroark, with their pre-evolution shared their English name with Japanese name, because it’s easy to pronounce Lucario spelled Ru Ka Ri O while Zoroark spelled Zo Ro A Ku in that case, I’d like to give you a better suggestion for its name how about Zoromene? it’s a combination of Zoro (Fox) and Menace, which ryme so well with Horrendous word that you were choosing but still verbally possible to be spoken by non-English Speaker and about the other 2, I love them, Armophan? Staragon? chef kiss
Yo I love these videos! I think that Zoroark should evolve into Zorrendous when it reaches lvl 50, but also at night, just to elude more to its theme, and why not give it a signature move to go along with it?
I actually really do like the idea of a "split" evolution line that recombines to one evolution by the player's choice. Not only is it a unique concept we've never seen from the pokemon games, but it's also an allusion to real live convergent evolution, where two different species eventually evolve to be similar in appearance/environmental niche.
cool idea for staragon: depending on what apple it used to evolve it will have a different ability and/or singature move. wich in my opinion could be extremely interesting
I totally thought Staragon was a reference to “tarragon“ which is an herb. Rather than being sweet or tart it tends to be used in savory dishes like chicken pot pie 🥧
Following on from this you could try to create some form of secondary evolution for the eevee family tree. Based on the theory that Entei, Raikou and Suicune are version of an eeveelution (or past/present form) especially seeing as in the resurrection video we see that when Ho-oh resurrected the animals that they had a more pronounce dog form muzzle, perhaps secondary evolution of jolteon/flareon/varporeon that are more dog like? Perhaps conceptualize some form of eevee sanctuary similar to Clair's dragons den but for eevees, like the ice covered or moss stone to evolve glaceon and leafeon. Similarly perhaps a video discussing or conceptualizing evolution forms for single form pokemon such as Absol or Kangaskan.
What a fun video, love the new evolutions!! Especially Armophan! I like him a lot If you're looking for other ideas - it would be fun to do new evos for the mons who got baby forms! And then you could give prevos to mons who got new evolutions (like murkrow)! If you've already done that, I've 100 percent already watched and enjoyed, I just have an absolutely terrible memory 🙃
I would heavily love for the zoroark evolution to be real, knowing how the stats will work. Zorrendus will be slower, physically stronger, lower special attack for more defense, hit points and plus ten special defense. Those stats are base off of what occur with poliwrath
Oh i really like the idea behind the flapple 3rd evolution, that made me think about Ceruledge and Armarouge, what if they also had a converging 3rd evolution !
Armophan signature ability would be cannon drive -using rolling moves increase it's speed , attack, and special attack by 1 stage(like it's building up momentum or energy) Signature move a be ground type move (Rush cannon) by rolling up in a ball and attacking the opponent Armophan shoots out energy that does damage depending on its speed at the time ( base attack is 70 and has 50 accuracy.) And his second move could be Steel type move (Steel Shot) a move that fire a concentrated amount steel energy at the opponent that hits for critical damage the higher the speed, (base attack is 60 an 80 in accuracy)
7:39 a few corrections on Cockney Rhyming Slang. Yes it originated in England but is not prevalent. Most people have heard of it but might not know about it in detail. It is extremely rarely used now (bar from a few key phrases that are now more like sayings). ‘Up the apples and pears’ is one of the more common ones. I believe It is an older generation thing, more common among certain regional working class people and mostly used for fun or to catch out tourists. Also, while you can find some Cockney dictionaries, there were different rhymes and slang associations in different regions. Source: My 86 Y/O dad who grew up in suburban London during WW2 era.
Starragon is easily the best of the three, also it is the only one I can actually see becoming an actual Pokemon, and yes you were spot on the split evolution thing, that would work perfectly with what the line has already to offer.
Not sure if you'll read this, as it's already a few weeks after this video first came out, but I thought up a name I rather like for the Donphan evolution. Phantankerous. It's got the Phan from its previous forms, tank because it's a tank, and is a play off of the word cantankerous to indicate its potentially foul mood. Cool video, by the way! Keep up the good work!
To be fair, Iron Treads isn't technically an evolution it's a paradox form. I think Armophan works really well as an evolution for Donphan - and possibly be the pokemon Iron Treads might be based on if you want my notion for a fanon here. Oooh, and what if it evolved using a metal coat?! I LOVE that idea! Also I really like the Armophant design, i would have it on my team. EDIT- I commented before I finished watching the segment on Armophant. Oops
I honestly like that future donphan evolution better than iron treads. I wish the future paradoxes weren't all robots. It reminds me of that one fan art of a future rockruff covered in gems
Personally, I don't feel the same way. Some, like Scovillain, do feel that they still haven't reached their full potential, but some definitely do, such as Snorlax or Lucario
6:50 There's a reason for that. If you go through the trouble of differentiating the evolution of the basic, people are going to be mad when it comes time to evolve again and it doesn't matter. It's the illusion of choice, which is never a good thing.
I really like Staragon. Maybe the second stage it evolved from effects it’s stats, signature move and/or ability? That way there would be some insensitive to which second stage was chosen
That Donphan evolution is soo much better than the versions we got in SV like the paradox forms make me wanna be sick I hate them so much. They all should’ve been designed more like this, no robot eyes or zigzag mouths
For Zorrendous, I think the only thing I would change is how it's spelled. I'd remove the 2nd O and have it spelled Zorrendus. It makes the use of the etymology a little more subtle, since the name is a little too on the nose in how it's spelled. It would still be pronounced the same, but by changing the spelling, you can be a little cheeky about it.
I know I'm a bit late, but I actually had a better idea for the Zoroark evolution... In order for it to evolve it must k.o. opposing Pokemon X number of times while in it's illusion. (X being some arbitrary number that you could give it) Justification for my idea is that if it successfully k/O's Pokemon whilst in its illusion so many times, it could be considered a master of illusion and ascend to a newer, stronger form...
Donphan Evolution should evolve with an iron plate from Iron Treads. I think it should have another evolution if it gets exposed to something from Great Tusk.
Zorrendous - Meh, looks like a Mega Staragon - Very Cool but has a bad name, maybe Appleragon? and would be cool if he has some of the melting apple sauce from his gigantamax in his body Armophan - I liked, I like it most than Iron Threads
I do like the ideas for flapple and Appleton. However I think that what I would have done differently is that I would have leaned more towards each one's Dragon aspects. Appleton would have become more of a drake, in Appleton would have become more of a wyvern. The only reason I feel this way is because it would be a shame if flapple simply were to lose its wings. I also do like the individuality of each of them. Although I do believe that the evolution method that you proposed was a pretty good one.
When it comes to appleton and flapple evolving into the same thing, lets say since appleton is more tanky, the evolution increases the tankyness, the design would have lets say, visible scales
zoroark evolution method should be leveling up at night knowing night daze since it is it's signature move and it already learns it at level 60-ish in fifth gen
With staragon you could say depending on whitch version you evolve it from, being appletun or flapple, it could change what the stat distribution could be
if you are creating a new pokemon to add another evolution to a set, it would be perfectly acceptable to adjust the required level for the second form and even stats and learned moves as well
For a future part how about another evolution to appletun and flapple as this one can be there shared Evolution then how about one for each thing is more them. A bigger tanky mon for appletun with well baked as its ability and a more lean fast mon for flapple.

A third stage for Zorua and Zoroark would if we follow the lore they are based on would be so human-like that most people would think it was an adult or teen cosplaying as a refined or slightly buffed (stats-wise) Zoroark. This is hinted at in the design of the Hisuian form and its type change.

It makes sense. Plus, I think it a bit odd for split evos to evolve into the exact same mon
@@thedragonwarrior5861 yeah because what was the point of the split evo if they just evolve into the same exact thing in the end
@@Nightmare_The_Wolfnothing. It would be completely pointless. I guess that it would determine the signature move? Riveting
If they were to give applin 2 new evolutions I think it should take a similar route like wurmple in that they both have different final evolutions
@@Nightmare_The_Wolf To not take up half the video?
Now just imagine all of these pokemon with the eviolite
Appletun with eviolite feels illegal
I cant think anythjng rn but, snorlax eviolite?
Maybe eviolite zoroark will actually be capable of taking a neutral hit? That would be pretty op given how many resists it has as a.... Mono dark.
Watch out all those sweepers who only know ghost dark and psychic moves.
Shuckle:
What’s a Pokémon?
Missed opportunity not making the gems on Zorrendous's arms the same color as the gem in Zoroark's hair.
i was wondering why i kept looking at the arms thinking something was off
Ears gone ?
Agreed
Zorrendous... now *THAT* is a clever name.
And it totally looks befitting of a Pseudo-Legendary, stats-wise.
for Staragon, I could imagine it having 2 forms, based on which middle stage it was

All of them are pretty cool but I'm pretty sad that there's no Hisuian Zorrendous
Yo I love these videos!
I think that Zoroark should evolve into Zorrendous when it reaches lvl 50, but also at night, just to elude more to its theme, and why not give it a signature move to go along with it?
Ooo, imagine it be a move that automatically drops the illusion, but if it does so, it doubles in power!

The Donphan evolution is cathartic in particular, because Ursaring got an evo. Why can't donphan get one?
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)

I can't imagine Lucario's evolution
Now that we ALSO have Dipplin in addition to Appletun and Flapple, will it STILL evolve into your fictional third spot?
I want Wobbuffet to get an evolution.
Octillery evo - based on a naval fortress. Is now a massive turtle with an Octillery and 2 Remoraids on its shell.
Maybe Staragon could be the MIDDLE stage?
Armophan looks like a donphan that murdered an aggron and made an armor out of its remains
How about a video on different starters that were chosen for Legends Arceus?
Hips and HoopHop is the best!

Do it with the two stage Mega pokemon, because they could get new evos in the non mega timeline

Armophan is really cool. I think it would be contender for my personal favorite even.
Raticate genuinely screams for a third evolution it needs one so bad
Zorrendous deserves a Hisuian form if it was a real Pokemon
I really like Staragon. Maybe the second stage it evolved from effects it’s stats, signature move and/or ability? That way there would be some insensitive to which second stage was chosen

Not really vibing with any of these Evos, but if you wanna go nuts with this: Eeveelutions. The only way to miss the mark is if they stop being cute.

Transform+1.
It’s funny that you’re giving Applin a new evolution when it’s actually getting a new *branch* evolution in one of the ScVi DLCs: Dipplin.
We can all agree that flappal is the cutest dragon type

if you are creating a new pokemon to add another evolution to a set, it would be perfectly acceptable to adjust the required level for the second form and even stats and learned moves as well
Honestly, your Armophan is miles better than iron treads.
All three are solid af
Man I could wish you can create another fakemon reigon but I gotta thank you for histrobea chronicles
i love staragon, he's a silly little guy
Ngl I’m surprised you didn’t have starragon’s name a reference to yoshi from Super Mario cause you can see a pretty good similarity
No Hisuian Zorrendous?
HoopsandHipHop: Staragon
me: steroids
Zorrendous is that only for the original form? Or does the hisuian get it too!?
Maybe these Evolutions will come to the next Pokemon game if you make a part 2 or part 3
IT WAS ME WHO HAD THE IDEA OF EVOLUTION METHODS!!!😁
For a future part how about another evolution to appletun and flapple as this one can be there shared Evolution then how about one for each thing is more them. A bigger tanky mon for appletun with well baked as its ability and a more lean fast mon for flapple.

Stareagon reminded me of puff the magic dragon!
Do way more of these for 2 level Pokémon 🙏🏽
You predicted dipplin and hydrapple before anyone else
Iron Treads isn't Steel type because it's from the future, it's Steel type because it's a car
