- It's topre Tuesday every day. If I could take one board to the grave, it would be this. So damn happy with the lighter domes, highly recommend it to anyone who likes a lighter typing experience. It's phenomenal. Got this for work.

🥰Sounds so good, may I ask u if deskeys 35g domes are as tactile as topre oem ones. I have a 45g realforce and I enjoy the tactile, but it's too heavy for me. I tried niz 35g but that's linear. Wondering if deskeys can fit my need.
Yes they’re still tactile! Highly recommend

Topre, also pronounced as P R O D U C T I V I T Y 😂. Still can't decide if I love or hate the sound (probably bit of both). But hhkb layout is the best.

I thought the same and it’s honestly so much easier than mx style boards. It’s pretty therapeutic in my opinion. Highly recommend!

Cannot recommend enough! I’d say around 55-60 depending on what length mx spring fancy (: defo on the lighter side though

@@extrapriuspleaseI might! is the tactility reduced much at all or is it mostly just the weight? my main issue with stock topre is how snappy it is and I'd love something less fatiguing
@@actualglacier yes it feels slightly less snappy but still returns like the oem domes. Much less fatiguing! Can’t speak highly enough tbh

Do you plan on changing the case on it to something nicer?
Probably not since I’m just taking it to work. Would get pretty banged up throwing it in my backpack tbh. Nice it’s so light too!

The board is from 2018, 35g topre domes feel like 55 to 57g MX Springs!
I am considering replacing it because the stock is heavy, is it distinctly lighter than the stock?
Yes 100%. I had an hhkb a year ago that had stock 45g domes. I sold it because it was too heavy for me. Fast forward to now and after using these, this is one of my favorite boards ever. I use 55g L springs in my mx boards if that helps!

Not HHKB specific but why dont all boards use the basic design? The bottom row is debatable and you can argue for control/caps but the 1st and 2nd row should be industry standard
I think that's the benefit of Via/remapping. I don't prefer control where caps lock is normally but understand how well it works with HHKB. It's super pretty I'll give you that! But it's super polarizing
@@extrapriusplease via fixes caps to control but whole right side requires board changes. Giant backspace and right shift are so unnecessary. \| taking 2u also very unnecessary
@@extrapriusplease maybe I'm being confusing but how is it polarizing?? There's nothing standard gives you vs hhkb or any other format with the smaller backspace and shift
@@woahblow4127 you can run this layout with any 60% keyboard if you remap is what I was getting at. I love using smaller form factor boards but I know hhkb is either loved or hated. It’s super hard to get used to this layout. I love using it but know some people just can’t do it.
@@extrapriusplease it would require a plate change for the top rows? My mode65 has stabs there but even if it didnt dont think the plate has would fit 2 keys instead of one in the middle.
Sidenote if you love hhkb peep the tokyo60. Slightly different, bottom row is symmetrical

Yes! Doesn’t matter as long as it’s Topre.

@@maxthememer1780 Of course! You can silence or unsilence any hhkb! The type s will come with the rings but you can buy them from Deskeys as well. For these domes, I would recommend the #3 rings.
