I've told myself so many times that I am never going to lube my switches ever again, but since that statement I have lubed something like 250 switches and any build I have or prebuilt that comes through gets the lubed switch treatment
I just got this keyboard in the mail today (the coral version) and the ping is SOOO BADDD. It's my first "pro-level" mechanical keyboard if you will and I definitely do not have the expertise to do all this. I guess I'll have to suffer with the super loud pinging until I can build my own... huge waste of money if you're a beginner who can't desolder. :-\
Agree. Really really poor value. And no willingness to acknowledge there is an issue. Reading that so many people reported the same problem makes me more angry and suggests IQUNIX knows about the problem and just ignore it. Buyers be warned!

dhuntard he said he likes linear switches and that his favourite switch is the tealios which is one of the best linear switches. They are from Zeal, which tend to be a bit expensive. If u want tactile switches use holy pandas and Zealios. Holy pandas give a really nice thock sound when lubed and have a pleasant tactile feeling and so do Zealios. But it’s just personal preference really
@@Juho- NK Creams and C3 Tangerines are my favorite linear switches. I replaced the stems on my Tangerine with UHMWPE stems which have less friction and they're an absolute joy to use. Also lubed and filmed mine. Honestly unless you wanna dive deep into the rabbit hole, getting some gaterons switches would be ok but lubing is an absolute must at the very least.
the beginning LOOOL keyboard looks and sounds great though, gl on 200k subs :D Also pro tip, if you reverse your spacebar it feels way better. Even though the LED's don't shine through as much.
I don't enjoy reversed Spaces bars at all, hate them but I hit C,V, B WITH thump while gaming so I hate the Spacebar leading your thumb above da keys! But I heard many people like it😅👍

Hello there!! I am pretty new to the world of Mechanical Keyboards and I recently got an Iqunix f96. Unlike yours mine makes a horrible metallic sound everything you touch the keyboard, either the keys or just moving it around, the whole plate makes a vibration with a really high pitch noise. Do you know why this can be?? I haven't been able to find a solution and nobody mention this in their reviews. I dismounted it and put it back together and I feel like it just got worse. I was gonna add some foam but it comes with foam inside already... any Idea?? many thanks in advance for any tips you can give me. I am trying to ignore it but its just too much and it makes me crazy to type in a otherwise fantastic keyboard
I have the exact same problem, I contacted IQUNIX and they are doing nothing about it. They are trying to pass this as "it's normal for kat kecap, brown switch, etc" Trying to avoid fixing this. Horrible customer service. I noticed some other people who has recently purchased has this problem as well. It must be a bad batch or poor assembly job. I'm thinking of creating reddit post about this so we can all chime in on this or hopefully IQUNIX will listen to us if enough of us has the same problem.

Same symptoms here. Any progress on this for you? The ringing is very annoying. IQUNIX support refusing to acknowledge problem. I feel just like you. Frustrated that an almost great keyboard has such a bad flaw. Shipping from China and no way communicate with them other than repetitive denial of problem. Joy of good quality destroyed. Or maybe their bosses don't let them acknowledge anything negative because they'll lose their job? In any case, big disconnect. Not worth the money or aggro. Very disappointing.

Ugh I hate keycap interference. I bought some keycaps a while back and they looked so good on my keyboard but 1 whole row was not crisp made me very sad.
Those switches are entirely why I haven't immediately picked up one of these boards. Would gladly just buy an unassembled kit, since their switch options are so limited.

i just bought an iqunix keyboard (white KAT alpha) and it has a severe ringing sound when i type. i dont type that hard either and i cant find anyone else online who has done typing tests where it sounds very 'pingy'. can you explain why this might be? have i been sent a faulty keyboard ? or can i fix it somehow? the ringing is a little unbearable...like a hum when i type
Typing English: *regular sounds, normal speed, little errors* Typing Korean: *Rap god lyrics sound in the background* That speed oh my god!! D= I'll have to try doing this to my keyboard one day
A bit late to the party, but it basically means he oriented the switch in the wrong direction when reseating it. It isn't a huge issue, but it will cause some led light interference and potentially the keycaps won't fit was wel, since you will have to put them on the switch in the wrong orientation (unless you want an upside-down or 90 degree angled keycap) which can cause clearance and bottoming-out issues. To fix this he would need to resolder the switch, so he probably just left it that way since it wasn't that bad.
Hello, :3ildcat! Do you have any tips or videos on balancing the wires for costar stabs? I have a 5.5u costar tab for the spacebar, unbalanced, keeps ticking, and I can't find any place that sells a 5.5u costar stabilizer :((
Those stabs are the worst! I used to have them on an old razer board. The shift key would always fall apart and I would spent 15 minutes trying to push the stab back together lol
The fact you went through the hassle of desoldering to relube shows how patient one can be when the goal is to lube :D

I have done it. Took 4 inconsistent days. Destroyed one switch. Still can’t understand why switch’s leaf was destroyed.

G-Lube to the switches (in my case MX Brown) made such a big and good difference. It's almost like they're become panda switches.
Must be very easy and fast to do this now that you have the desolder hakko quack machine!
