    Super cool. Funny that this restomod has the fuel door in the same place as a Tesla so it’s ready to use superchargers. I wish the rest other EVs were ready.

    Cars parked 90% of their lifespan don’t need fast charging unless you’re road-tripping specifically in a hurry. Even the slowest Level1 charging from an everyday outlet will give you 3-6mi range per hour. That’s 54 miles in a 12hr period. Level 2 gives you 324 miles in a 12 hr period using a 240V laundry outlet you may already have in the garage. The longer you own an EV, the slower you’ll charge, even when 3min charging becomes accessible, you’ll STILL want to charge more slowly for either convenience, price, or because you’re making your own “fuel” from solar+battery storage while you’re doing something else. This is what most fail to understand, they equate fueling up with sitting there and waiting impatiently doing nothing else.
