  • This tutorial focuses on the uses and benefits of creating an Alpha Video within IClone for use as a TrkMat inside of Adobe After Effects when wanting to add effects to your IClone video.
By using an IClone Alpha Video as a Luma TrkMat (this is not an alpha channel) when adding effects with After Effects you can save hours spent creating a dynamic mask to mask out character and camera movement.
This video provides an example from an upcoming short film we are working on that has camera movement, complex shapes and characters that are moving in front of the effects.

Ah god. Im finding it bizzare they have not got an option for rendering the shadow on an alpha channel.
This software reminds me of Element 3D. I wish they'd of taken some great fundamentals of that software and built on them.
You can render out figures + shadows etc. You can also hide characters so you just render out the shadow.
Hope iClone 8 has this option.
