these videos make happy my Saturday afternoon: I'm a 36 years old guy that always loved Japan culture, anime and Japanese videogames, now I'm father and I know that will be almost impossible to go in Japan, in some way ur videos bring Japan to me, and the way you do is very natural.
What a coincidence. My last full day in Tokyo in Nov 2023 I went to these same stores. I started at Urawa station, walked to Hard Off Urawa Daitakubo (bought pkmn green and gold versions), walked to Hard Off Saitama Urawa Minami (nothing), walked to Treasure Factory Minami Urawa (nothing), walked passed that strange arcade (although at night the sign was illuminated at least), walked to Hard off Toda Nishiguchi shop (nothing) which was right next to BOOKOFF Toda Niizo Store (I think I got a DS game but I forget now). All this to say if you have a day in Tokyo and want to thrift and walk, this path was totally doable. Great vid!
11:55 so funny you bumped into that one. When I was in Japan in Feb this year there was this rurouni kenshin ichiban Kuji and I did 3 pulls I managed to get Sanosuke B prize (the other 2 was a big poster from Kaoru❤ and a rubber coaster from Kenshin) The Sanosuke figure is absolutely amazing. It is quite pricey considering the Kuji was only 750 yen per pull.
Thanks for sharing brother. Enjoyed watching it a lot. Some truly great stuff to be found. As any collector, free space will become the greatest enemy. But also a secondary problem 😂
Congrats passing 10k Subs. Well deserved mate. As an Hardcore clock tower Fan i have to say that the game youve found was clock tower 2 but you showed gameplay from clock tower ghosthead which was a Spin off in Japan but was actually called clock tower 2 in the states. Its because we (in europe) never got clock tower first fear and the clock tower 2 you showed Was called just clock tower in europe and the states. Similar to the final fantasy 3 / 6 Problem we got because There where missing some games in europe / states 😅
Great video, 9/10. Saitama delivers once again. I am definitely putting Saitama on the list of prefectures to go hunt my next visit to Japan in march of next year.
I like your videos searching for items. I did the same earlier this year when I was in Japan. Already miss those days. Please Keep making these videos :)
Thank you for the trip down memory lane, I was in the 2nd Hard Off myself around March-April for my own hunt :D That's where I got my Saturn & Dreamcast + a bunch of games Dreamcast & Saturn games. Seeing the Link's Awakening loose with the instruction booklet makes me sad, I wish I picked it up (and those GBAs T_T) Really like the video ! :D
@@4amLaundry Oh ! I understand👌 This is my first video from your channel. I just found it randomly in my UA-cam Homepage and i've been caught reconising places where i usually go 😆
shout out to GHOST Squad might be my favorite wii light gun game! you wouldn't expect that much replayability from a 3-stage arcade port. but there's all sorts of weapons, costumes and new alternate paths to unlock, so there's a lot to it!
Valk Profile, good shout and for 550 yen it's a no brainer. 5000 yen Chrono Trigger for DS is pretty slick. GHOST SQUAD, I used ot have the arcade card for the machine back in the day. I'm 100% grabbing a saturn fight stick when I'm there next. That's just happining. the rockman was 100% worth it, the box having damage is fine, it's what the box was designed to do. As Always, I love re-shoppoing through your videos!❤
I couldn't stop laughing bro. You talking yourself out of buying the Pokemon set & then later talking yourself into buying them was hilarious! That's exactly what I do as well. Damn where am I going to put these things I'm running out of room! Classic! 😂😂😂
the thumbnail made it seems like you found the pokemon gameboy but it just appears for 2 seconds. Nah man, dont be so click baity. Anyways, the video is great, i love how beautiful the ps1 games look
Not really, I just kind of remember what the going rate for things is. Usually checking sold listings on Japanese sites like Yahoo auction or Mercari helps
Those Kenshin figures were sick. I loved Rurouni Kenshin back in the day, but it's so hard to feel anything good about the remake after what the author turned out to be
Holy cow. Two different models of Sony's Aibo next to each other. I always was fascinated by those things ( volgens mij nooit in Nederland uitgekomen ). Wait, is VHS getting popular again or something ?
Hello from your 345 like 😊 watching ur video 😊 I have another code ds 😊 and it’s also on the switch it’s very good 😊 IQ final is what I see on ebay it’s 7 Canadian and $10 shipping Canadian and you just found it for 3usd so it’s probably 5 Canadian in Japan 😊 the shipping costs is what sucks.
Sega Saturn doesn’t have many Japanese wrestling games but they all are good they are Fire Pro Wrestling 6 Man Scramble Fire Pro Blazing Tornado and All Japan Featuring Virtua get those wrestling games Pim I have every wrestling game except for PS1 Champion Wrester Jikkyou Live
@@BanditsBest686Yeah looking back it's not like it was the deal of the century but happy to have a "complete" Mega Man 4 regardless (minus that piece lol)
I picked up one of those plastic Hori ones in a video last year. It's officially got Tekken V for PS2 but also works fine on PS1. Swapped it out with Sanwa parts and it's been great but I'm looking for a more sturdy case, it's very plasticky.

My favorite part of this video was at 34:26! Deep relatable lyrics with amazing melodies haha!
It's my anthem bro
Pim almost got a Hardoff basket to house some of his games in. Would have been a good shelf display to embody the retro game hunt experience 😊
Another awesome video, Pim!! Keep em' coming!

23:15 it’s ridiculously easy to mod a 3ds, takes like 10 minutes tops
I figured, took me about the same time to mod my DSi
Bro so many cool finds this time around! I hope I find some cool games like those when I’m there! And what a find on the Pokemon VHS!!
Its so cool to see someone else shopping at the same stores that I do! Been finding a lot of sakura ps2 lately!
It is a treat watching you visit all these different hard on locations
That Pokemon vhs find is soooooo sick.
Nice video as usual
Buying all that and cycling home is insane, respect for not skipping out on a good find

The first BookOff in the video opening, near to the big Hard Off, it has videogames section. You were in Toda, near my home 😌
Yessir, location links always in the description! I think that one was one video before this tho and I just used the footage for the opening.

Haha feel free to watch the weekend livestreams where it's a bit more interactive, this area was dope I'll definitely be returning.
Getting that Valkrye game was a food buy.
@32:44 Does HardOff not do a in-store shipping service?
These vids make Saturdays even better
Bro is the reason we find random shit in the wrong shelf space and have to put it back xD
good video i love that you include a video of the game or anime..
what a great store! Glad you found your VHS holy grail
I've been in Japan for the past month and have hit so many book off/hobby off/hard off's. Its a lot of fun just browsing to see what there is.

Is the building really "abandoned" when it has a tenant, an active business, and is full of customers?

I went to this last hardoff location too hahahaha
I played DJ hero! It's a fun game, good track selection but I always liked guitar hero more than dj hero

The fighting stick PS is crap, don't buy it. Early days of joysticks that were not good. Only good ps1/ps2 joystick is the ascii ps1 joystick.

Hey, wanted to know if you can get me a Dreamcast system and ship it to the United states?
Nah sorry we don't do that over here.
