You captured the true essence of Pokemon card stores in Osaka perfectly. The variety of shops, the amazing collection of rare cards, and your insightful commentary made it feel like I was right there back in Osaka!
Thanks so much for making such a thorough video about all of these card stores! It's such a great reference for any card collectors planning on traveling to Osaka, and it was super fun just to see all of the cards! :D I've been wanting to collect more e series cards, and seeing so many of them in this video really got me excited to continue looking for them haha!
Its crazy how some of these businesses are able to stay in business selling cards, even though they have the most obscure and awful business locations possible.
We have a similar shop in germany or had one when i was young. Idk if they still exist, they moved at some point to a bigger location inside a mall in a different town but they had many regular customers that came from all over the country just to visit this shop and they had a very bad location too. I remember playing tournaments there every weekend. Best time of my life
Welcome back and I've been looking forward to the continuation of this series! This video along with your Nagoya and Kyoto ones have me super excited to visit Japan in November. Congrats on the little one as well!
Great series. I live in Osaka right near that area so it’s always fun seeing people enjoy it! Maybe I should get into collecting some basic stuff. I certainly have the luxury to check these stores often.
Absolutely epic video Jluv, I'm going to Osaka in 4 weeks for the first time. I'm from Japan but wasn't back into Pokemon cards when we went last year. Can't wait. This list is gonna be an awesome resource to build our list!
Great video, 5 ⭐️for the quality of this video and 5 ⭐️ for the content. You easily have the best Pokémon content on UA-cam. Thank you for your passion!
I went it Japan in late 2018 and it feels crazy how much higher the prices are now. It all went nuts after 2020... I'm happy I'm just collecting the cards I like wherever the region they are from, there are many price differences between countries and I just want them to look good and not being overpriced, the legends cards here like Ho-oh Legend in Japanese is like between 200 and 400 bucks depending on the store, I got a french one for 30, and it was just last year. Though some french cards are apparently more expensive in some sets like the Gold Star ones.
each store bought its inventory at its own time at its own rates. this is why each store differs in terms of prices. its not that a shop is necessarily ripping anyone off or has inconsistent pricing. it would be unrealistic for every shop to have the same or similar prices. The variance of prices as it is, is a good thing that helps the market and demand and success of pokemon cards.
very true, i think a lot of the price variance just comes from some cards sitting on shelves longer than others. eventually a store will need to cut the price of a card below whatever they paid for it if they do really need to move it; guess we aren't fully at that point just yet. maybe soon. appreciate you watching!
are we just supposed to ask to see the cards one by one? like if im interested in a bunch of cards with the intention of grading them what kind of trouble am i expecting?
@@honkingthechickenaway5973 you just call a guy over and point at all the cards you want, at the end they’ll show you the cards to check and you can say which ones you want and don’t want
