The Pedigree done to Marty Garner wasn't some special version, the jobber honestly didn't know what the move was and assumed it was a double underhook suplex, this he jumped up to take that, only for HHH to obviously go straight back down ending up with the head bump Really poor research SImon
the piledriver was used even after the ban, pretty sure it was more than Taker & Kane as well, always did find it odd that they said it was banned but still used it
The only people who were allowed to use it were the ones who were trusted enough to do it 100% safe, and if the person who is slated to take it says "I'm not taking it." that's the end of the discussion and it's not used in that match. Foley had one of the safest piledrivers in history. That's why he was allowed to do it.
The most shocking piledriver (even though it was the Attitude Era) was Vader performing an inverted version of the Tombstone (a regular forward facing piledriver, but where he dropped to his knees) TWICE *on the ramp* TO Kane (as his revenge for Kane's random Tombstone attacks to wrestlers, including him); you could see Kane's head bend the other way BOTH times...
All the channels even new ones using clips may be of few seconds in videos and these people are still using only pics on a video explaining about moves🤦♂️
Billy Kidman had the worst Shooting Star and honestly he clearly didn't practice it enough to make it successful. Also the Canadian Destroyer hasn't really been banned in WWE since Adam Cole, one of the Usos, Badd Bunny, and Rey Mysterio have pulled it off with Rey, Bad Bunny, and Adam Cole pulling it off multiple times. But I also like how WWE now uses it with only using it once in a while and not every time, that's how WWE gets a good pop from it everytime.
@zanethind3533 np. His just impresses me the most since it feels like calling him even a part time wrestler is overkill. I have HUGE respect for BB because you can tell he genuinely respects the business and trains for his appearances
Until recent years the canadian destroyers....still think its funny that the front flip piledriver is considered safer than the regular piledriver....but i know its a different landing angle.
The underhook pedigree move was the best most realistic finisher ever. Loved that move in the old thq wrestling games where it went into a pin. Best move ever 💯
The Pedigree entry is wrong. He was supposed to take the bump flat and prepared for a double undertook piledriver instead. This is well known. The Pedigree was never intended to be a piledriver.
Double underhook *suplex* ; he thought he was going over Hunter's head, so he put himself vertical. Helmsley just dropped to his knees as normal, turning it into a piledriver unwittingly...
The Diving Headbutt needs to be banned. Looks at what happened to the likes of Chris Benoit, Dynamite Kid, Bryan Danielson or anybody else who ever used that move.
Haa! 4:36 Someone literally did one of these on Raw last night.... It could have been Collision but I'm certain I just saw somebody do one because for a second I thought they were emulating Randy Orton until I saw the legs drape across the top rope instead of the middle. Maybe it was the NXT PPV from Saturday, Deadline 2024 😅👍
I still dunno how the hell Brock finished that match after he spiked himself on his Goddamn head. I mean, go back and watch him after the match, and you can see that this guy, who can toss the Big Show around like a giant toy, can barely lift the WWE Championship belt.
The Piledriver isn't dangerous. Bill Ospray kicked out at 2 from a piledriver on the steel steps, the Fed wrestlers are so soft. Proof that the Dub is where the best wrestle. They can withstand piledrivers and multiple Canadian Destroyers
Aledgedly, Will Offsprey wanted to take an avalanche Tiger Driver 91 followed by a burning hammer thru the announcer table followed by an inverted tombstone thru burning tacks for a 1 2 oohhh….then have Fletcher beat him with a hip toss.
I wonder if the Package Piledriver is banned or WWE just doesn't trust KO enough. Cuz they did trust him with the Sitout Piledriver. Also I think the Tiger Driver(Piledriver version) could be done in WWE with the right people
They approved the *SAFEST PILEDRIVER IN THE WORLD* and it’s explicitly part of the narrative that Owen’s is being punished for it. It’s still banned, they just made one exception.
Steiner Screwdriver. Not sure if it's explicitly banned or just the only one crazy enough to do it is Scott Steiner.
The Pedigree done to Marty Garner wasn't some special version, the jobber honestly didn't know what the move was and assumed it was a double underhook suplex, this he jumped up to take that, only for HHH to obviously go straight back down ending up with the head bump
Really poor research SImon
Came here to say this
They banned the Vertebreaker, which is my favourite finisher of all time
FACTS.
Cody used it against Logan Paul during their last match. It was awesome and they did it safely.
That’s what I came here to say👊🏻😎🍻
It's called The Cop/Gringo Killa Clifford. Get a life
Cody and Rollins use the vertabreaker
the piledriver was used even after the ban, pretty sure it was more than Taker & Kane as well, always did find it odd that they said it was banned but still used it
Yeah Rey Mysterio pulling out Canadian Destroyers on Andrade on Smackdown
It was Undertaker and kanes finisher + they’re very trustworthy
@@Ashketchum12233gotta ask hulk hogan if Taker is trust worthy after that tombstone onto the steel chair at Survivor series 1991 😂😂
I'm surprised you didn't mention Kevin Owens piledriving Randy Orton, the whole bit was treated as a shock and done brilliantly.
If you look closely, Kevin wasn't all that bad.
these videos are sometimes record way in advance, especially at this time of year.
@@stingrey1571 fair point there 👌
Yeah although I can't believe he didn't to the Package Piledriver
Was one of the weakest piledrivers I’ve ever seen 😂
This video must have been made before Kevin Owens hit Randy Orton with the piledriver.
Or it was the reason that inspired this list
@@audiofrost Why wouldn't they mention it?
That victory star drop likes horrid
Gregory Helms the vertebreaker
LA Knight pulled a safer Burning Hammer once or twice since last year on TV. So it's not totally banned
Same with Aj Styles, Trent Seven, and the Brian Kendrick.
Piledriver wasn't banned after Austin's unjury, Mick Foley, Farooq and Billy Gunn was using it during the Attitude Era
The only people who were allowed to use it were the ones who were trusted enough to do it 100% safe, and if the person who is slated to take it says "I'm not taking it." that's the end of the discussion and it's not used in that match. #8 kinda looks like a more aggressive variant of the Tiger Driver 91...maybe it's just me.
It is a variation of that and people still use the sitout version
KO hitting Orton with a piledriver recently was brilliant. Commentary sold it like it broke Randy's neck.
No Canadian Destroyer? That looks terrifying to take
Not banned anywhere; almost every flyer does it now...
Fun fact the punk kick began in May 2007 on raw when he did it to Shawn Michaels
Punt, not punk...
@tomseville2345 my bad 🤣
I feel like Randy should bring back the punt kick against Kevin Owens since he used the pile driver on him
All the channels even new ones using clips may be of few seconds in videos and these people are still using only pics on a video explaining about moves🤦♂️
WWE is very litigious when people use clips of theirs. Most TV wrestling companies are.
@gfear24 I know but using 4-5sec clip does not get you in trouble. As many channels are using these to enhance their viewing experience...
I’ll always pop for a good Muscle Buster. That’s a move I want to see in the Fed again
They call them "Too dangerous" I deem it a "skill issue"
1:00 ya... Bout that they've actually just brought it back. Who knows when this video list was actually made.
In New Japan Wrestling there is a min of 10 to 12 moves that you see from time to time that need to be banned they just hard to watch.
Billy Kidman had the worst Shooting Star and honestly he clearly didn't practice it enough to make it successful. Don't forget Bad Bunny has done it multiple times
@Dibab yeah he did I forgot to add him thanks

Why is Benoit's flying/diving headbutt not listed ? Everybody knows how dangerous it was
What about the most devastating move in all of sports entertainment 'The surprise roll up'? Why haven't wwe banned it yet?
I don't think the dragon screw neck whip is banned in wwe, Nikki cross has been using it as her finisher for years now
Garvin took the pedigree wrong. It's a,well known fact
You're expecting facts from a WhatCulture list? You new here?
Videos like this sorely need motion footage, rather than stills with someone trying to explain.
"Piledrivers dont need to come back."
AEW took that personally.
A lot of moves wwe has banned you pretty much see most of the time in aew.
Didn't WWE also ban flying heatbutts / headbutts off the top ropes?
bad description of the victory star drop. it is just a top rope backslide
The Kawada Driver is also known by its more recognizable secondary name The Vertebreaker.
No it's not, a vertebreaker is a back to back double underhook piledriver, also known as a Kudo Driver
What about when Bo Dallas used the dragon screw neck breaker ?! Put some respect on my boy Howdys name
Manami Toyota was way ahead of her time
This topic has been done to death. Even y'all covered it 4 years ago
The Diving Headbutt needs to be banned. Looks at what happened to the likes of Chris Benoit, Dynamite Kid, Bryan Danielson or anybody else who ever used that move.
I’m still so surprised they brought the kerb stomp back
If anything it think it was the name, they took it off so they could call it “THE Stomp” without anyone noticing a difference
Haa! 4:36

😅👍
Don't anyone tell Simon that Kevin Owens piledrivered Randy Orton🤫
Anyone here after Saturday Nights Main Event? Seeing KO piledriver Cody
The story of the Kawada Ganzo Bomb is not really accurate
AEW uses piledrivers like nothing. Wwe still does the Candian Destroyer
😅 some say there was only support to be 3 😅

Do they even pay attention to things before they make a list video?? I THINK NOT 💀
I hate this commentary guy
What is wrong with his cadence?? Humans don’t talk like that
