well its more then 2 years on that you make my big boy bus rack and with countless trips down to the south of Mexico,
the bus and rack are doing well
i now keep a 14ft canoe on the roof full time and have enjoyed several sunset sat on the roof deck.
ones again thank you for the outstanding work
Woohoo! So glad to hear about it, buddy. You have adventure in your soul for sure.
The dance with the rack outside the garage was pretty funny.
Note to self. Bloopers edited to the end or deleted! LOL 😜
haha ... yeah, gotta show how things really are around here :)
Oh boy do I have some bloopers
*No houses, plants, or animals harmed, in the making of this film *😁 Thanks!👍
Oh! Happy Easter.🌞
Happy Easter to you! Thanks for checking it out :)
6:04. That bus IS a box going down the road 🙃 Sweet build
Yep! Thanks for checking it out
Your CAD isometric drawings are spot on... lol
Gotta go high-tech sometimes! :)
👍👍 I miss your bus!
You and me both :)
Nice job. Rack looks awesome.
Oh good! thanks
That turned out fantastic.
Oh good to hear! Yeah, it was a fun one
I really like the aerodynamic side of this roof deck. Well done 👍
Oh good! Yeah, I was hoping that little touch would work out
Wow, that came out great.
Oh good! Yeah, I was pretty happy with it. Thanks!
Wow, I am completely impressed with your talent.
Big thanks! It was a fun one :)
Hell Yeah another video!!!!! Wheres my beer?!
Woohoo! Thanks man
@@metaspencer LOL!! your welcome!
Man that turned out awesome! Glad to see more of these projects!
Fun fact: we finns have a saying "Kemppi glued" which means to be welded. Because we have Kemppi brand welders which are popular here.
Oh good! Yeah, it's been fun to spend some time in the shop instead of hanging in a tree :)
Kemppi glued! I like that
Great work!
Big thanks!
I was trying to remember if I'd seen that Skoolie before.
Take a look at Navigation Nowhere's latest video on Dale's Slacker Bus and the new product for attaching decks to buses. Very similar to what you made
Nice plug!👍
I think he was at Skooliepalooza this last time ... often tows a jetski from what I've heard. Thanks for the tip on that vid
@@metaspencer he might have been there. I tend to gravitate towards other blue buses
Impressed! I NEED TO do this!!
You're gonna love it! great feel and views up there
Nice work! Instead of towing that car,he could have put on the new roof rack!
Well almost.😳
woah, now there's an idea! (beware of overpasses) :) ... I guess he's got a few motos, a jet ski, and a few more toys like that
enjoy the videos bud.. takes a lot just to film and edit plus to build.. appreciate you posting cheers
Big thanks! Nice of ya to drop a comment
Nice one!
😀
Thanks! Nice to see it hit the road with the paint drying :)
That looked like a well built to rack, take care brother and YHVH bless.
Thanks for checking it out buddy
You've got serious talent! I've got that same version of Autocad but must be missing an addin or two...my results don't turn out that nice 😀 Happy Easter to you and the family!
It's all about the high tech software these days :) Good to hear from ya and Happy Easter
I need to bring my bus to you lol
Yep!
You continue to impress spenc. GREAT work.
Hey what type of screw did you use to attach boards? That metal roofing type with the hex head and rubber washer?
Thanks for checking it out! I typically use a wood-to-steel self-tapping screw, but in this case I had to use a stainless self-tapper that took some pre-drilling. Good solid connection so I was happy.
Bro, your welds are looking very nice. #stackingdimes
Some set screws into the pole holders might be a good idea for the dude.
Thanks! Yeah, practice and time seems to help the old welds to work out. I meant to do the set-screws tapped in place and totally forgot. Doh!
did you happen to run out of gas, and switch to flux core mid project? not picking on you or anything but I did notice the first welds were super clean, and later they had some soot around them (Atleast the ones I saw)
All MIG but dang it might have been reduced time on steel prep. I'm also getting some wire jumping in my hose ... gotta upgrade
@@metaspencer a good upgrade would probably be a miller multimatic 220, I want one (Since its mig, tig and stick) but it is really expensive (around $3000)
also a set of welding pliers is great
been working on my positioning lanyard, right now it is 15ft yale 11.7 "confetti" an HRC prusik loop, some sterling flex 8mm in a distel, and a hitchclimber pulley, it is super smooth (from my testing in the house, will have to get it in a tree soon)
I also bought a second hitchclimber, so I can keep the one on my main climb line 24/7
@@WoodCutr1 Sounds like some great gear! Yeah, I'm eyeing a 220 welder ... maybe lincoln or miller or maybe some knockoff I can afford. We'll see!
Nothing like a little blood but in this case fire doing a job
I set myself on fire a few times
Human marshmallow over the fire ... it happens :)
@@metaspencer never thought of as a human marshmallow had some grease and we got s'mores
Very impractical. The average guy cant afford the fancy autocad programming youve got.
But it gives a feller an idea it's possible?🤔
Yeah, all robots around here!
