Andy is the most innovative angler the uk has ever produced by far he is responsible for changing how we fish today he was the first angler ever to use a flatbed method feeder Andy invented the flatbed method feeder the first method feeder was made by korum and they are still deadly today the quick stops we use today Andy was responsible for them he then put elastic through the method feeder the list goes on what people don't get about the way Andy uses paste is that if you mix the paste exactly how Andy demonstrate it on the video it won't come off the hook why because the water actually cradles the paste to the bottom It's not rocket science guys, many thanks Andy for another great tutorial Andy Findlay an true angling legend in my opinion Thank-you Andy
I remember you fishing at the glebe helped me do just under 200pound with cat meat slurry then a lump of meat on the hook pushed it through a riddle made it really sloppy then as it settled with my big lump got a few silvers bream and what not but yeh when they are on their on good memories
I simply love paste fishing. Thanks to Andy's videos, I have mastered the art of paste fishing over the last few years, and have caught some really big carp on this method. I notice Andy doing it different to how he used to, now throwing in bait rather than cupping. A lot of paste fishing videos show the pot about a foot to 18 inches back from the pole tip. I have mine right on the tip, as Andy does, and have very little problems with tangles. Interesting using 2mm pellets in the paste, and a tub of water on the side tray. I must try this.
Having had the pleasure seeing Andy in action fishing Meat in the Margins at Makins a few years ago its nice to see him showing how to fish Paste. Great Demo of the art of Paste fishing. Cheers Andy.
If you use a Preston the small preston hook up just down from your pot pointing upwards, you can slip you line round it and it never tangles. This allows you to have your pot on the end of the pole like Andy has 👍👍
Hi Andy. Great video no shot down the line is that black on the bottom of your pole float silicon or lead tub. Tony.PS will you be at the Farnborough show.
Hello Andy from France !! I am surprised that the paste, given its humidification, sticks to the hook as soon as it comes into contact with water. There is a risk of dropping the paste.

i use trout pellet soaked mash in to paste, one match i done in 5 hours, had 89 carp, and 16 tench, all on rod ,and fished it under arm,
Good video, just curious why paste tends to be used with particles and not groundbait. Is there a reason? hemp etc.
whats the mix ratio 1to1 ????
is that paste just fish meal and water?
That hat has never seen paste fishing 🤣
My hat is mouldy !
Yucky
haha true!
sure the measurements paste to water would be great like the 1 2 1

Peg 1 Lake 1
97 pegs out lol
Peg 98 Lake 7, nearly though lol
Pity this video has horrible timing as paste fishing slows to a stop in Autumn...
Come on Preston, try looking out of the window.....
This works in heavily stocked commercial fisheries.. but...
