      We don't have a line rating on this rod, but is best suited with 4-8lb lines.

    Nice video Jon. I'll be trying the different length hook lengths tomorrow. Those type are awesome. I'm landing double figure fish on 0.11! What corn manafacturer would you say was best?

    I've adapted a Shakespeare IN2 TRAVL8 Tele' Glass Holiday Rod into a Bomb/Feeder Rod & it's Just the Job.
    Swapped the end eye for a screw in quiver tip eye. It's got me some Carp to 8 Lb so far with no bother at all. Cost me a tenner years ago. Glass Tele's are great Leger Rods - Don't always fall for the Dearer Hype!! I've a couple of Dearer Feeder rods, but this one is just as good!!

    Awww Jon, that takes me back to using the bomb with a swing tip! .. = catapulting out 10 tennis sized balls of laced groundbait at (eg) Coombe Abbey or Earlswood, then giving in half an hour plus before you over casted your arsley bomb, then quietly wound in back into the baited area... & adjusting the swing tip 😊.
    The swing tip is a bit of a horrendous tackle thb, regarding casting at distance etc. But once eventually set correctly, it has magical captivating properties that no quiver tip can compete with 😂 ❤

    Great video, good tips. I’ve often fished that lake and sometimes they take a while to find at any time of year but the video helped me understand the value of creeping towards them instead of crashing in to the same spot all day.

    Swivel protector bead? why not just use a float stop?

    • @ifishmatrix
      @ifishmatrix  3 роки тому

      You could us a rubber stop behind the swivel and knot if you wanted, but Jon's personal preference is to use the swivel protector bead that covers the knot. 👍

    • @ifishmatrix

      We don't have a strength rating on the swivels, but it is much higher than any line you would use with them. 👍
